BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 (Di David: quando si contraffece davanti ad Achimelec, e, da lui licenziato, se ne andò).	1 Shout for joy, you upright; praise comes wel from the honest.
2 Benedirò il Signore in ogni tempo, ed avrò sempre la sua lode nella mia bocca.	2 Give thanks to Yahweh on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 L'anima mia si glorierà nel Signore: lo sentanogli umili e si rallegrino.	3 Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.
4 Magnificate meco il Signore, esaltiamo insieme il suo nome.	4 The word of Yahweh is straightforward, al he does springs from his constancy.
5 Ho cercato il Signore ed Egli m'ha esaudito, m'ha liberato da tutte le mie tribolazioni.	5 He loves uprightness and justice; the faithful love of Yahweh fil s the earth.
6 Accostatevi a lui e sarete illuminati, e i vostri volti non avran da arrossire.	6 By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their array.
7 Questo disgraziato alzò le grida, e il Signore l'esaudì, lo liberò da tutte le sue tribolazioni.	7 He collects the waters of the sea like a dam, he stores away the abyss in his treasure-house.
8 L'angelo del Signore si slancia intorno a quelli che lo temono e li salva.	8 Let the whole earth fear Yahweh, let al who dwel in the world revere him;
9 Gustate e vedete quanto è soave il Signore! Beato l'uomo che spera in lui!	9 for, the moment he spoke, it was so, no sooner had he commanded, than there it stood!
10 Temete il Signore voi tutti, o santi suoi, perchè nulla manca a coloro che lo temono.	10 Yahweh thwarts the plans of nations, frustrates the counsels of peoples;
11 I ricchi si trovan nel bisogno e patiscono la fame, ma chi cerca il Signore non è privo d'alcun bene.	11 but Yahweh's own plan stands firm for ever, his heart's counsel from age to age.
12 Venite, figli, ascoltatemi: io v'insegnerò il timor del Signore.	12 How blessed the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people he has chosen as his heritage.
13 Chi è che brama la vita e desidera vedere dei giorni lieti?	13 From heaven Yahweh looks down, he sees al the children of Adam,
14 Preserva la tua lingua dal male, e i tuoi labbri non parlino con inganno.	14 from the place where he sits he watches al who dwel on the earth;
15 Evita il male e fa il bene, cerca la pace e seguila.	15 he alone moulds their hearts, he understands al they do.
16 Gli occhi del Signore sopra i giusti, le sue orecchie sono intente alle loro preghiere.	16 A large army wil not keep a king safe, nor his strength save a warrior's life;
17 Ma la faccia del Signore è sopra quelli che fanno il male, per disperdere dal mondo la loro memoria.	17 it is delusion to rely on a horse for safety, for all its power it cannot save.
18 I giusti alzano le grida, e il Signore li ascolta e li libera da tutte le tribolazioni.	18 But see how Yahweh watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his faithful love,
19 Il Signore sta vicino a quelli che hanno il cuore afflitto, e salva gli umili di spirito.	19 to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine.
20 Molte le tribolazioni dei giusti, ma da tutte li libera il Signore.	20 We are waiting for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield,
21 Egli ha cura di tutti i loro ossi: neppure uno di essi sarà spezzato.	21 for in him our heart rejoices, in his holy name we trust.
22 La morte dei peccatori è orribile, e quelli che odiano il giusto ne porteran la pena.	22 Yahweh, let your faithful love rest on us, as our hope has rested in you.
23 Il Signore riscatta le anime dei suoi servi: non avran pena tutti quelli che sperano in Lui.
