6 A Semei suo figlio nacquero figli capi delle loro famiglie ed erano uomini fortissimi.	6 Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.
7 Ecco adunque i figli di Semeia: Otni, Rafael, Obed, Elzabad, e i suoi fratelli uomini fortissimi, ed Eliu e Samachia.	7 The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.
8 Tutti questi erano dei figli di Obededom: essi, i loro fi­gli, i loro fratelli, uomini fortissimi per il loro ministero, eran sessantadue, della casa di Obededom.	8 All these of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obed-edom.
9 I figli di Meselemia e i loro fratelli, uomini fortissimi, eran diciotto.	9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.
10 Di Hosa, cioè dei figli di Merari: Semri il capo (non avendo avuto primogenito, suo padre lo aveva costituito capo).	10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)
11 Elcia fu il secondo, Tabelia il terzo, Zaccaria il quarto; tutti questi figli e fratelli di Hosa eran tredici.	11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
12 Questi, come portinai, furono distribuiti in modo che i capi delle guardie, come i loro fratelli, servissero sempre nella casa del Signore.	12 Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD.
13 per ciascuna parte furon tirate le sorti, senza distinzione fra piccoli e grandi, secondo le loro famiglie. i	13 And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.
14 La sorte per la porta orientale toccò a Selemia. Al suo figlio Zaccaria, uomo prudentissimo e intelligente, toccò a sorte il lato settentrionale.	14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counseller, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
15 A Obededom e ai suoi figli toc­cò il lato meridionale, nel qual lato della casa era il consiglio degli anziani.	15 To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.
16 A Sefin e a Hosa toccò il lato occidentale, pres­so alla porta che mena alla strada della salita: una guardia in faccia all'altra.	16 To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.
17 Ad oriente v'erano sei leviti; a settentrione quattro per giorno; al mezzodì pure quattro per giorno e, dov'era il consiglio, due alla volta.	17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.
18 Alle celle dei portinai, ad occidente, ve n'erano quattro sulla strada e due alle celle.	18 At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.
19 Questa la distribuzione dei portinai figli di Core e di Merari.	19 These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.
20 Achia poi era preposto ai tesori della casa del Signore e ai vasi sacri.	20 And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
21 Figli di Ledan, figli di Gersonni. Capi famiglia di Ledan: Ledan, Gersonni, lehieli.	21 As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.
22 Figli di Iehieli: Zatan e Ioel, suo fratello, preposti ai tesori della casa del Signore,	22 The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the house of the LORD.
23 cogli Amramiti, gl'Isaariti, gli Hebroniti, gli Ozieliti.	23 Of the Amramites, and the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:
24 Subael, figlio di Gersom figlio di Mosè, era preposto ai tesori,	24 And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures.
25 così pure i suoi fratelli; Eliezer di cui fu figlio Rahabia, di cui fu figlio Isaia, di cui fu figlio Ioram, di cui fu figlio Zecri, di cui fu figlio Selemit.	25 And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26 Lo stesso Selemit e i suoi fratelli eran preposti ai tesori delle cose sante consacrate dal re David, dai principi delle famiglie, dai tri­buni, dai centurioni e dai capi dell'esercito,	26 Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
27 delle cose provenienti dalle guerre e dalle spoglie guerresche, e consacrate pel mantenimento del tempio e dei suoi arredi.	27 Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.
28 Tutte queste cose erano state consacrate da Samuele Veggente, da Saul figlio di Cis, da Abner figlio di Ner e da Gioab figlio di Sarvia: tutti quelli che le consacravano le consegnavano a Selemit e ai suoi fratelli.	28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
29 Gl'Isaariti, dei quali era capo Conenia coi suoi figli, eran preposti alle cose di fuori riguardanti Israele, l'istruire e il giudicare.	29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 Gli Hebroniti, Hasabia e i suoi fratelli, uomini fortissimi, in numero di mille settecento, presiedevano a Israele di là dal Giordano, verso ponente, per tutto quello che riguardava le cose del Signore e il servizio del re.	30 And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.
31 Il capo degli Hebroniti, secondo le loro fa­miglie e le loro parentele, fu Ieria. L'anno quarantesimo del regno di David furono numerati e se ne trovarono in Iazer Galaad, di questi uomini fortissimi	31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
32 e dei loro fratelli, nel vigor dell'età, due mila settecento capi di famiglie.
