Ezechiele 5

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - E tu, figlio dell'uomo, prendi una spada affilata che rada i peli, prendila e passala sui peli del tuo capo e su quelli della tua barba, poi procurati una bilancia per pesarli, per farne delle parti.	1 'Son of man, take a sharp sword, use it like a barber's razor and run it over your head and beard. Thentake scales and divide the hair you have cut off.
2 Un terzo lo brucerai sul fuoco in mezzo alla città nel compiersi i giorni dell'assedio; un terzo farai in pezzi colla spada intorno alla città; un terzo lo spanderai al vento e io vi sguainerò la spada dietro.	2 Burn one-third inside the city, while the days of the siege are working themselves out. Then takeanother third and chop it up with the sword all round the city. The last third you are to scatter to the wind, while Iunsheathe the sword behind them.
3 Ne prenderai un piccolo numero e li legherai alla falda del tuo mantello.	3 Also take a few hairs and tie them up in the folds of your cloak;
4 E da questi ancora ne prenderai alcuni e li getterai in mezzo alla fiamma e li abbrucerai sul fuoco; e di qui uscirà un fuoco per tutta la casa d'Israele».	4 and of these again take a few, and throw them on the fire and burn them. From them fire will come onthe whole House of Israel.
5 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Questa è Gerusalemme; in mezzo a nazioni l'ho collocata con terre tutto intorno.	5 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "This is Jerusalem, which I have placed in the middle of the nations,surrounded with foreign countries.
6 E disprezzò i miei decreti degradandosi più che i gentili, disprezzò i miei precetti più che le terre che la circondano, perchè ha rigettato i miei decreti e non hanno camminato sulla via dei miei precetti».	6 She has rebelled more perversely against my observances than the nations have, and against my lawsthan the surrounding countries have; for they have rejected my observances and not kept my laws."
7 Per questo, così dice il Signore: «Perchè avete sorpassate le nazioni che vi stanno d'intorno, e non avete seguìto i miei comandamenti, e non avete messo in pratica i miei decreti, neppure tanto da stare a pari colle nazioni circostanti a voi»;	7 'Therefore, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Because your disorders are worse than those of the nationsround you, since you do not keep my laws or respect my observances, and since you do not respect even theobservances of the surrounding nations,
8 per questo, così dice il Signore Dio: «Eccomi a te e io stesso eseguirò i miei giudizi davanti agli occhi delle nazioni.	8 very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I, too, am against you and shal execute my judgements on youfor the nations to see.
9 E farò contro di te cose che non ho mai fatto nè simili mai più farò, per causa di tutte le tue abominazioni.	9 Because of al your loathsome practices I shal do such things as I have never done before, nor shallever do again.
10 Perciò i padri mangeranno in mezzo a te i loro figli, e i figli mangeranno i loro padri; ed io eseguirò terribili giudizi su di te e disperderò i tuoi residui ad ogni vento.	10 Those of you who are parents wil eat their children, and children wil eat their parents. I shall executejudgement on you and disperse what remains of you to the winds.
11 Com'è vero ch'io vivo, dopo che hai profanato il mio santuario con tutti i tuoi scandali e con tutte le tue abominazioni, anch'io stritolerò e l'occhio mio non risparmierà e non userà misericordia.	11 For, as I live -- declares Lord Yahweh -- as sure as you have defiled my sanctuary with al your horrorsand all your loathsome practices, so I too shal reject you without a glance of pity, I shal not spare you.
12 Un terzo dei tuoi morrà di peste e consunto dalla fame in mezzo a te; un terzo cadrà sotto la spada intorno a te; e un terzo lo disperderò a tutti i vènti e vi sguainerò la spada dietro.	12 A third of your citizens wil die of plague or starve to death inside you; a third wil fall by the swordround you; and a third I shal scatter to the winds, unsheathing the sword behind them.
13 E così finirà l'ira mia e si acquieterà il mio sdegno su di essi e sarò soddisfatto, e sapranno che io, il Signore, geloso del mio onore, ho parlato, quando avrò dato compimento all'ira mia.	13 I shal sate my anger and bring my fury to rest on them until I am avenged; and when I have sated myfury on them, then they wil know that I, Yahweh, spoke out of jealousy for you.
14 E ti ridurrò in un deserto, vituperio alle genti che ti stanno intorno e agli sguardi di chiunque ti passerà accanto.	14 Yes, I shal reduce you to a ruin, an object of derision to the surrounding nations, in the eyes of al whopass by.
15 E sarai in vituperio e maledizione, in esempio e stupore alle genti che stanno a te d'intorno, quando avrò eseguito su di te i giudizi dettati dal furore, dallo sdegno e dall'ira punitrice.	15 You will be an object of derision and insults, an example, an object of amazement to the surroundingnations, when I execute judgement on you in furious anger and furious punishments. I, Yahweh, have spoken.
16 Io, il Signore, ho parlato; quando scaglierò su di essi le saette orrende della fame, quelle mortifere punte ch'io vi avventerò per distruggervi, e aggiungerò fame a fame, e troncherò ogni mezzo di sostentamento di pane,	16 On them I shal send the deadly arrows of famine, which wil destroy you -- for I shall send them todestroy you; then I shall make the famine worse and cut off your food supply.
17 e manderò tra voi la fame e le bestie feroci fino a sterminarvi, e la pestilenza e le stragi passeranno attraverso a te e farò piombare su di te la spada: io, il Signore, ho parlato».	17 I shal send famine and wild animals on you to rob you of your children; plague and bloodshed wilsweep through you, and I shal bring the sword down on you. I, Yahweh, have spoken." '
