1 - Allora mi condusse alla porta che prospettava l'oriente.	1 Then he led me to the gate which faces the east,
2 Ed ecco la gloria del Dio d'Israele che entrava per la via orientale e faceva un rumore come il rumore di molte acque e la terra era tutta illuminata dalla sua maestà.	2 and there I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. I heard a sound like the roaring of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory.
3 E la visione che vedeva era somigliante a quella che aveva veduta quando venne per distruggere la città, somigliante nell'aspetto a quella veduta presso il fiume Cobar, ed io caddi prostrato sulla mia faccia.	3 The vision was like that which I had seen when he came to destroy the city, and like that which I had seen by the river Chebar. I fell prone
4 E la maestà del Signore entrò nel tempio per la via della porta che prospettava l'oriente.	4 as the glory of the LORD entered the temple by way of the gate which faces the east,
5 E lo spirito mi sollevò e m'introdusse nel cortile interiore, ed ecco, della gloria del Signore era ripiena tutta la casa.	5 but spirit lifted me up and brought me to the inner court. And I saw that the temple was filled with the glory of the LORD.
6 E udii parlarmi dalla casa, e un uomo che stava in piedi vicino a me mi disse:	6 Then I heard someone speaking to me from the temple, while the man stood beside me.
7 «Figlio dell'uomo, ecco il luogo del mio trono, il luogo dove posano le piante dei miei piedi, dove abito in mezzo dei figli d'Israele in eterno; e quei della casa d'Israele non profaneranno più il mio santo nome, nè essi, nè i loro re con le loro fornicazioni e con i cadaveri dei loro re, e con le alture.	7 The voice said to me: Son of man, this is where my throne shall be, this is where I will set the soles of my feet; here I will dwell among the Israelites forever. Never again shall they and their kings profane my holy name with their harlotries and with the corpses of their kings (their high places).
8 Fabbricando la soglia di questi presso alla mia soglia, e i loro stipiti presso i miei stipiti; solo un muro era tra me ed essi, e profanarono il mio santo nome colle abominazioni che operarono; per cui li ho, nel mio sdegno, sterminati.	8 When they placed their threshold against my threshold and their doorpost next to mine, so that only a wall was between us, they profaned my holy name by their abominable deeds; therefore I consumed them in my wrath.
9 Or dunque, gettino lungi da me il loro culto di prostituzione e l'inerte congerie dei loro re e io abiterò in mezzo ad essi per sempre.	9 From now on they shall put far from me their harlotry and the corpses of their kings, and I will dwell in their midst forever.
10 E tu, o figlio dell'uomo, mostra il tempio alla casa d'Israele e si confondano delle loro iniquità; ne misurino la sua struttura	10 As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel (that they may be ashamed of their sins), both its measurements and its design;
11 e abbiano vergogna di tutto quello che hanno operato; la figura della casa, la sua struttura, le uscite e gl'ingressi, e il suo disegno e le sue disposizioni e il suo ordinamento e le sue leggi, tutto fa' loro vedere, metti tutto sotto i loro occhi per iscritto, affinchè conservino la sua descrizione e i suoi statuti e li rimettano in opera.	11 (and if they are ashamed of all that they have done,) make known to them the form and design of the temple, its exits and entrances, all its statutes and laws; write these down for them to see, that they may carefully observe all its laws and statutes.
12 Questo è il carattere di questa casa sulla sommità del monte, tutto intero il suo recinto è sacrosanto; il suo carattere è questo».	12 This is the law of the temple: its whole surrounding area on the mountain top shall be most sacred.
13 Queste poi sono le dimensioni dell'altare a cubito perfetto, che aveva un cubito e un palmo: il canale aveva un cubito e uno di larghezza e l'orlo col suo rilievo a labbro era tutto intorno alto un palmo. Era questa la fossa dell'altare.	13 These were the measurements of the altar in cubits of one cubit plus a handbreadth. Its base was one cubit high and one cubit deep, with a rim around its edges of one span. The height of the altar itself was as follows:
14 Dall'alveolo a fior di terra, fino a tutto il basamento inferiore, erano due cubiti e la larghezza un cubito, dal basamento minore fino al basamento maggiore erano quattro cubiti e la larghezza di un cubito.	14 from its base at the bottom up to the lower edge it was two cubits high, and this ledge was one cubit deep; from the lower to the upper ledge it was four cubits high, and this ledge also was one cubit deep;
15 L'Ariel era di quattro cubiti e dall'Ariel si alzavano al di sopra le quattro corna.	15 the hearth of the altar was four cubits high, and extending from the top of the hearth were the four horns of the altar.
16 E l'Ariel era di dodici cubiti di lunghezza, per dodici cubiti in larghezza, in forma quadrata a lati uguali.	16 The hearth was a square: twelve cubits long and twelve cubits wide.
17 E il basamento di quattordici cubiti in lunghezza, per quattordici cubiti in larghezza dai quattro angoli e una cornice che giravagli intorno di mezzo cubito e un alveolo di un cubito all'ingiro; i suoi gradini erano vòlti a oriente.	17 The upper ledge was also a square: fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits wide. The lower ledge, likewise a square, was sixteen cubits long and sixteen cubits wide, with a half-cubit rim surrounding it. And there was a base of one cubit all around. The steps of the altar face the east.
18 E mi disse: «Figlio dell'uomo, così dice il Signore Dio: - Queste sono le prescrizioni dell'altare pel giorno quando sarà ricostruito, affinchè si offra sopra di esso l'olocausto e si faccia l'aspersione del sangue.	18 Then he said to me: Son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: These are the statutes for the altar when it is set up for the offering of holocausts upon it and for the sprinkling of blood against it.
19 Tu le consegnerai ai sacerdoti, leviti della discendenza di Sadoc, che si accostano a me, dice il Signore Dio, per offrirmi un vitello allevato alla mandra pel peccato.	19 Give a young bull as a sin offering to the priests, the Levites who are of the line of Zadok, who draw near me to minister to me, says the Lord GOD.
20 E prenderai del suo sangue e lo spargerai sulle quattro corna dell'altare e sui quattro angoli del basamento e sulla cornice all'ingiro in sua purificazione ed espiazione.	20 Take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim all around. Thus you shall purify it and make atonement for it.
21 E prenderai il vitello offerto pel peccato e lo abbrucerai in un luogo separato della casa, fuori del santuario.	21 Then take the bull of the sin offering, which is to be burnt in a designated part of the temple, outside the sanctuary.
22 E nel secondo giorno offrirai un capretto senza macchia pel peccato e faranno l'espiazione dell'altare, come l'avevano fatta col vitello.	22 On the second day present an unblemished he-goat as a sin offering, to purify the altar as was done with the bull.
23 Compiuta che avrai la sua espiazione, offrirai un vitello giovine senza macchia e un montone tolto dalla greggia senza macchia.	23 When you have finished the purification, bring an unblemished young bull and an unblemished ram from the flock,
24 E li offrirai nel cospetto del Signore, e i sacerdoti li cospargeranno di sale e li offriranno in olocausto al Signore.	24 and present them before the LORD; the priests shall strew salt on them and offer them to the LORD as holocausts.
25 Per sette giorni farai il sacrificio del capro pel peccato ogni giorno, e così offriranno un vitello tolto dall'armento e un montone di greggia senza difetti.	25 Daily for seven days you shall offer a he-goat as a sin offering, and a young bull and a ram from the flock, all unblemished, shall be offered
26 Per sette giorni faranno l'espiazione e la purificazione dell'altare e lo consacreranno.	26 for seven days. Thus atonement shall be made for the altar, and it shall be purified and dedicated.
27 Compiuti i giorni, nell'ottavo e poi in seguito, i sacerdoti offriranno sopra l'altare i vostri olocausti e i vostri sacrifici pacifici, e io sarò ben disposto per voi», dice il Signore Dio.	27 And when these days are over, from the eighth day on, the priests shall offer your holocausts and peace offerings on the altar. Then I will accept you, says the Lord GOD.
