1 - Al corifeo. Salmo di David. Cantico di Geremia ed Ezechiele per il popolo esultante, quando principiavano a partire.	1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 A te si convien l'inno o Dio, in Sion, a te si renderà il voto in Gerusalemme.	2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Ascolta la mia preghiera: a te ricorre ogni mortale.	3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 Le parole degli empi han prevalso su noi; ma alle nostre empietà tu perdonerai propizio.	4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 Beato colui che tu eleggi e avvicini [a te], [perchè] dimori ne' tuoi atrii. Ci sazieremo de' beni della tua casa: santo è il tuo tempio,	5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 mirabile nella giustizia. Esaudiscici, o Dio salvatore nostro, speranza d'ogni estremo angolo della terra, e [di quei che son] nel mare, lontano:	6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 tu, che stabilisci i monti con la tua forza, cinto di potenza,	7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 tu che sconvolgi il profondo del mare, il fragor de' suoi flutti. S'agitan le genti,	8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 e temono gli abitanti degli [estremi] confini a cagion de' tuoi portenti. Le porte del mattino e della seratu riempi di giubilo.	9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 Tu visiti la terra e l'abbeveri, copiosamente l'arricchisci. Il fiume di Dio é colmo di acque, con esso tu prepari il [frumento], cibo degli uomini: tale è invero la sua preparazione.	10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
11 Irriga i suoi solchi, moltiplica i suoi germogli: delle sue piogge si allieterà germinando.
12 Benedici il coronamento dell'anno [oggetto] della tua bontà, e i tuoi campi si riempiranno d'ubertà.
13 S'impingueranno i bei [prati] del deserto, e di giubilo le colline si cingeranno.
14 Si riveston gli arieti de' greggi, e le valli abbonderan di frumento. Levan la voce e inneggiano!
