1 - Cantico de' gradini. Alzo gli occhi verso i monti; donde mi verrà l'aiuto?	1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2 Il mio aiuto [vien] dal Signore, che ha fatto il cielo e la terra.	2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3 Non faccia vacillare il tuo piede e non s'addormenti colui che ti protegge!	3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4 Ecco! non s'addormenterà nè dormiràque' che protegge Israele.	4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5 Il Signore ti protegge, il Signore è il tuo riparo, alla tua destra.	5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6 Di giorno il sole non ti brucerà, nè la luna di notte.	6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7 Il Signore ti protegge da ogni male; protegga l'anima tua il Signore!	7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
8 Il Signore protegge il tuo entrare e il tuo uscire, sin da ora e in eterno.
