1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 «Ordina agli Israeliti e di’ loro: “Quando entrerete nella terra di Canaan, questa sarà la terra che vi toccherà in eredità: la terra di Canaan secondo i suoi confini.	2 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, and it has fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bound by these limits:
3 Il vostro confine meridionale comincerà al deserto di Sin, a lato di Edom; così la vostra frontiera meridionale partirà dall'estremità del Mar Morto, a oriente;	3 The southern part shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is next to Edom, and it shall have the Sea of Salt as a limit to the east.
4 questa frontiera volgerà al sud della salita di Akrabbìm, passerà per Sin e si estenderà a mezzogiorno di Kades-Barnea; poi continuerà verso Casar-Addar e passerà per Asmon.	4 It shall circle on the south side along the ascent of the Scorpion, by this way crossing into Senna, and passing through, from the south, as far as Kadesh-barnea, from which its confines shall go out to the town called Adar, and extend even to Azmon.
5 Da Asmon la frontiera girerà fino al torrente d'Egitto e finirà al mare.	5 And its limits shall go around from Azmon to the Torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the shore of the Great Sea.
6 La vostra frontiera a occidente sarà il Mare Grande: quella sarà la vostra frontiera occidentale.	6 Then the western region shall begin from the Great Sea, and the same shall be its end.
7 Questa sarà la vostra frontiera settentrionale: partendo dal Mare Grande traccerete una linea fino al monte Or;	7 Furthermore, toward the northern region, its limits shall begin from the Great Sea, passing through even to the highest mountain.
8 dal monte Or la traccerete fino all'ingresso di Camat e l'estremità della frontiera sarà a Sedad;	8 From there, it limits shall advance into Hamath, as far as the limits of Zedad.
9 la frontiera continuerà fino a Zifron e finirà a Casar-Enàn: questa sarà la vostra frontiera settentrionale.	9 And its confines shall go all the way to Ziphron, and to the village of Enan. These shall be the limits on the northern side.
10 Traccerete la vostra frontiera orientale da Casar-Enan a Sefam;	10 From there, its limits shall be measured, facing the east side, from the village of Enan as far as Shepham.
11 la frontiera scenderà da Sefam verso Ribla, a oriente di Ain; poi la frontiera scenderà e si estenderà lungo il mare di Chinneret, a oriente;	11 And from Shepham, the boundaries shall descend into Riblah, opposite the fountain of Daphnis. From there, the boundaries shall pass through, opposite the east, to the Sea of Chinnereth,
12 poi la frontiera scenderà lungo il Giordano e finirà al Mar Morto. Questa sarà la vostra terra con le sue frontiere tutt’intorno”».	12 and shall extend as far as the Jordan, and, at the furthest extent, shall be enclosed by the Sea of Salt. You shall have this land, with its borders all around.”
13 Mosè diede quest'ordine agli Israeliti dicendo: «Questa è la terra che vi distribuirete a sorte e che il Signore ha ordinato di dare a nove tribù e mezza;	13 And Moses instructed the sons of Israel, saying: “This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord has ordered to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
14 poiché la tribù dei figli di Ruben, secondo i loro casati paterni, e la tribù dei figli di Gad, secondo i loro casati paterni, e metà della tribù di Manasse hanno ricevuto la loro porzione.	14 For the tribe of the sons of Ruben, by their families, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the number of their kinships, and also one half of the tribe of Manasseh,
15 Queste due tribù e mezza hanno ricevuto la loro porzione oltre il Giordano di Gerico, dal lato orientale».	15 that is, two and a half tribes, have received their portion across the Jordan, opposite Jericho, toward the eastern side.”
16 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:	16 And the Lord said to Moses:
17 «Questi sono i nomi degli uomini che spartiranno la terra fra voi: il sacerdote Eleàzaro e Giosuè, figlio di Nun.	17 “These are the names of the men, who shall divide the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,
18 Prenderete anche un principe, uno per ogni tribù, per fare la spartizione della terra.	18 and one leader from each tribe,
19 Ecco i nomi di questi uomini. Per la tribù di Giuda, Caleb, figlio di Iefunnè.	19 whose names are these: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
20 Per la tribù dei figli di Simeone, Samuele, figlio di Ammiùd.	20 from the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud;
21 Per la tribù di Beniamino, Elidàd, figlio di Chislon.	21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;
22 Per la tribù dei figli di Dan, il principe Bukkì, figlio di Ioglì.	22 from the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;
23 Per i figli di Giuseppe, per la tribù dei figli di Manasse, il principe Cannièl, figlio di Efod;	23 of the sons of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod;
24 per la tribù dei figli di Èfraim, il principe Kemuèl, figlio di Siftan.	24 from the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
25 Per la tribù dei figli di Zàbulon, il principe Elisafàn, figlio di Parnac.	25 from the tribe of Zebulon, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;
26 Per la tribù dei figli di Ìssacar, il principe Paltièl, figlio di Azzan.	26 from the tribe of Issachar, Paltiel the leader, the son of Azzan;
27 Per la tribù dei figli di Aser, il principe Achiùd, figlio di Selomì.	27 from the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;
28 Per la tribù dei figli di Nèftali, il principe Pedaèl, figlio di Ammiùd».	28 from the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
29 Questi sono coloro ai quali il Signore ordinò di spartire il possesso della terra di Canaan tra gli Israeliti.	29 These are the ones that the Lord has ordered to divide the land of Canaan to the sons of Israel.
