Psalmen 138

1 [Von David.] Ich will dir danken aus ganzem Herzen, dir vor den Engeln singen und spielen;	1 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 ich will mich niederwerfen zu deinem heiligen Tempel hin und deinem Namen danken für deine Huld und Treue. Denn du hast die Worte meines Mundes gehört, deinen Namen und dein Wort über alles verherrlicht.	2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3 Du hast mich erhört an dem Tag, als ich rief; du gabst meiner Seele große Kraft.	3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
4 Dich sollen preisen, Herr, alle Könige der Welt, wenn sie die Worte deines Mundes vernehmen.	4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Sie sollen singen von den Wegen des Herrn; denn groß ist die Herrlichkeit des Herrn.	5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
6 Ja, der Herr ist erhaben; doch er schaut auf die Niedrigen und die Stolzen erkennt er von fern.	6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7 Gehe ich auch mitten durch große Not: du erhältst mich am Leben. Du streckst die Hand aus gegen meine wütenden Feinde und deine Rechte hilft mir.	7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
8 Der Herr nimmt sich meiner an. Herr, deine Huld währt ewig. Lass nicht ab vom Werk deiner Hände!	8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
