Prima lettera ai Corinzi 15

1 Or io vi dichiaro, o fratelli, il Vangelo, che vi annunziai, il quale voi pur riceveste, ed in cui voi state saldi,	1 I want to make quite clear to you, brothers, what the message of the gospel that I preached to you is;you accepted it and took your stand on it,
2 Per cui siete anche salvati: se lo ritenete in quella guisa, che io vi predicai, eccettochè indarno abbiate creduto.	2 and you are saved by it, if you keep to the message I preached to you; otherwise your coming tobelieve was in vain.
3 Imperocché io vi ho insegnato in primo luogo quello, che io pur apparai: che Cristo mori pe' nostri peccati secondo le scritture:	3 The tradition I handed on to you in the first place, a tradition which I had myself received, was thatChrist died for our sins, in accordance with the scriptures,
4 E che fu sepolto, e che risuscitò il terzo di secondo le scritture:	4 and that he was buried; and that on the third day, he was raised to life, in accordance with thescriptures;
5 E che fu veduto da Cefa, e di poi dagli undici:	5 and that he appeared to Cephas; and later to the Twelve;
6 E di poi fu veduto da sopra cinquecento fratelli in una volta: de' quali i più vivon fino al di d'oggi, alcuni poi sono morti:	6 and next he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom arestill with us, though some have fal en asleep;
7 E poi fu veduto da Giacomo, e poi da tutti gli Apostoli:	7 then he appeared to James, and then to all the apostles.
8 Per ultimo poi di tutti come da un aborto fu veduto anche da me.	8 Last of al he appeared to me too, as though I was a child born abnormally.
9 Imperocché io sono il minimo degli Apostoli, che non son degno di esser chiamato Apostolo, perché ho perseguitato la Chiesa di Dio.	9 For I am the least of the apostles and am not real y fit to be called an apostle, because I had beenpersecuting the Church of God;
10 Ma per la grazia del Signore son quello, che sono, e la grazia di lui, che è in me, non è stata infruttifera, ma ho travagliato più di tutti loro: non io però, ma la grazia di Dio, che è con me;	10 but what I am now, I am through the grace of God, and the grace which was given to me has notbeen wasted. Indeed, I have worked harder than all the others -- not I, but the grace of God which is with me.
11 Ed io adunque, e quegli, cosi predichiamo, e così avete creduto.	11 Anyway, whether it was they or I, this is what we preach and what you believed.
12 Che se si predica Cristo come risuscitato da morte, come mai dicono alcuni tra voi, che non havvi risurrezione de' morti?	12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you be saying that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 Che se non v' ha risurrezione de' morti: neppur Cristo è risuscitato.	13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ cannot have been raised either,
14 Se poi Cristo non è risuscitato, vana è adunque la nostra predicazione, vana è ancora la vostra fede:	14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without substance, and so is your faith.
15 Siamo anche scoperti testimonj falsi di Dio: dappoiché abbiam renduto testimonianza a Dio dell'aver lui risuscitato Cristo, cui non ha risuscitato, se i morti non risorgono.	15 What is more, we have proved to be false witnesses to God, for testifying against God that he raisedChrist to life when he did not raise him -- if it is true that the dead are not raised.
16 Imperocché se non risorgono i morti, neppur Cristo è risuscitato.	16 For, if the dead are not raised, neither is Christ;
17 Che se Cristo non è risorto, è vana la vostra fede, conciossiachè siete tuttora ne' vostri peccati.	17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is pointless and you have not, after al , been releasedfrom your sins.
18 Per la qual cosa anche quegli, che in Cristo si addormentarono, sono periti.	18 In addition, those who have fal en asleep in Christ are utterly lost.
19 Se per questa vita solamente speriamo in Cristo siamo i più miserabili di tutti gli uomini.	19 If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are of al people the most pitiable.
20 Ora però Cristo è risuscitato da morte primizia de' dormienti:	20 In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of al who have fal enasleep.
21 Dappoiché da un uomo la morte, e da un uomo la risurrezione da morte.	21 As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead.
22 E siccome in Adamo tutti muojono, cosi pure tutti in Cristo saranno vivificati.	22 Just as al die in Adam, so in Christ al wil be brought to life;
23 Ciascheduno però a suo luogo, Cristo primizia: di poi quegli, che sono di Cristo, i quali nella venuta di lui hanno creduto.	23 but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belongto him.
24 Di poi la fine; quando avrà rimesso il regno a Dio, e al Padre, quando avrà abolito ogni principato, e ogni podestà, e virtù.	24 After that wil come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolishedevery principality, every ruling force and power.
25 Or è necessario, che egli regni, sino a tanto che (Dio) gli abbia posti sotto dei piedi tutti i nimici.	25 For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool,
26 L'ultima poi ad esser distrutta sarà la morte nemica: imperocché tutte le cose ha soggettate a' piedi di lui. Or quando dice:	26 and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put al things under his feet.
27 Tutte le cose sono soggette a lui: senza dubbio si eccetua colui, che ha soggettate a lui tutte le cose.	27 But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjectedeverything to him.
28 Allorché poi saranno state soggettate a lui tutte le cose: allora anche lo stesso figlio sarà soggetto a lui, che gli ha assoggettata ogni cosa, onde Dio sia il tutto in tutte le cose.	28 When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself wil be subjected to the One whohas subjected everything to him, so that God may be al in al .
29 Altrimenti che faranno quegli, i quali si battezzano per li morti, se assolutamente i morti non risorgono? E perché si battezzano per quegli?	29 Otherwise, what are people up to who have themselves baptised on behalf of the dead? If the deadare not raised at al , what is the point of being baptised on their behalf?
30 E noi pure perché ci esponghiamo ogn' ora ai pericoli?	30 And what about us? Why should we endanger ourselves every hour of our lives?
31 Io muojo ogni giorno, (lo giuro) per la gloria vostra, che è mia in Cristo Gesù Signor nostro.	31 I swear by the pride that I take in you, in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I face death every day.
32 Se (per parlare da uomo) combattei in Efeso con le bestie, che mi giova, se i morti non risorgono? Mangiamo, e beviamo, che doman si muore.	32 If I fought wild animals at Ephesus in a purely human perspective, what had I to gain by it?
33 Non vi lasciate sedurre: i discorsi cattivi corrompono i buoni costumi.	33 If the dead are not going to be raised, then Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall be dead.
34 Vegliate, o giusti, e non peccate imperocché certuni ignorano Dio, parlo, perché ne abbiate rossore.	34 So do not let anyone lead you astray, 'Bad company corrupts good ways.' Wake up from your stuporas you should and leave sin alone; some of you have no understanding of God; I tel you this to instil someshame in you.
35 Ma dirà taluno: come risuscitano i morti? E con qual corpo ritorneranno?	35 Someone may ask: How are dead people raised, and what sort of body do they have when theycome?
36 Stolto, quel, che tu semini, non prende vita, se prima non muore.	36 How foolish! What you sow must die before it is given new life;
37 E seminando, non semini il corpo, che dee venire, ma un nudo granello, per esempio, di frumento, o di alcun altra cosa.	37 and what you sow is not the body that is to be, but only a bare grain, of wheat I dare say, or someother kind;
38 Ma Dio gli da corpo nel modo, che a lui piace: e a ciascun seme il suo proprio corpo.	38 it is God who gives it the sort of body that he has chosen for it, and for each kind of seed its own kindof body.
39 Non ogni carne (è) la stessa carne: ma altra è la carne degli uomini, altra poi quella delle bestie, altra quella degli uccelli, altra quella de' pesci.	39 Not al flesh is the same flesh: there is human flesh; animals have another kind of flesh, birds anotherand fish yet another.
40 E (v' ha) de' corpi celesti, e de' corpi terrestri: ma altra la vaghezza de' celesti, e altra de' terrestri,	40 Then there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the heavenly have a splendour of their own, andthe earthly a different splendour.
41 Altra la chiarezza del sole, altra la chiarezza della luna, e altra la chiarezza delle stelle. Imperocché v'ha differenza tra stella, e stella nella chiarezza:	41 The sun has its own splendour, the moon another splendour, and the stars yet another splendour;and the stars differ among themselves in splendour.
42 Cosi pure la risurrezione de' morti. Si semina (corpo) corruttibile, sorgerà incorruttibile.	42 It is the same too with the resurrection of the dead: what is sown is perishable, but what is raised isimperishable;
43 Si semina ignobile, sorgerà glorioso: si semina inerte, sorgerà robusto.	43 what is sown is contemptible but what is raised is glorious; what is sown is weak, but what is raisedis powerful;
44 Si semina un corpo animale, sorgerà un corpo spirituale. Se v'ha un corpo animale, v'ha pure un corpo spirituale, come sta scritto.	44 what is sown is a natural body, and what is raised is a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, thereis a spiritual body too.
45 Il primo uomo Adamo fu fatto anima vivente, l'ultimo Adamo spirito vivificante.	45 So the first man, Adam, as scripture says, became a living soul; and the last Adam has become alife-giving spirit.
46 Ma non è prima lo spirituale, ma si l'animale: e poi lo spirituale.	46 But first came the natural body, not the spiritual one; that came only afterwards.
47 Il primo uomo della terra terrestre: il secondo uomo dal cielo celeste.	47 The first man, being made of earth, is earthly by nature; the second man is from heaven.
48 Quale il terrestre, tali anche i terrestri: quale il celeste, tali anche i celestiali.	48 The earthly man is the pattern for earthly people, the heavenly man for heavenly ones.
49 Siccome adunque abbiam portato l'immagine del terreno, portiamo anche l'immagine del celeste.	49 And as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so we shal bear the likeness of the heavenlyone.
50 Dico questo, o fratelli, perché la carne, e il sangue non possono ereditare il regno di Dio: né la corruzione renderà l'incorruttibilità.	50 What I am saying, brothers, is that mere human nature cannot inherit the kingdom of God: what isperishable cannot inherit what is imperishable.
51 Ecco, che io vi dico un mistero: risorgerem veramente tutti, ma non tutti saremo cangiati.	51 Now I am going to tel you a mystery: we are not al going to fal asleep,
52 In un momento, in un batter d'occhio, all'ultima tromba: imperocché suonerà la tromba, e i morti risorgeranno incorrotti: e noi saremo cangiati.	52 but we are al going to be changed, instantly, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpetsounds. The trumpet is going to sound, and then the dead wil be raised imperishable, and we shal be changed,
53 Imperocché fa d'uopo, che questo corruttibile dell'incorruttibilità ti rivesta: e questo mortale si rivesta dell'immortalità.	53 because this perishable nature of ours must put on imperishability, this mortal nature must put onimmortality.
54 Quando poi questo mortale si sarà rivestito dell'immortalità, allora sarà adempiuta la parola, che sta scritta: è stata tracannata la morte nella vittoria.	54 And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put onimmortality, then wil the words of scripture come true: Death is swal owed up in victory.
55 Dov'è, o morte, la tua vittoria? Dov' è, o morte, il tuo pungiglione?	55 Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?
56 Il pungiglione poi della morte è il peccato: e la forza del peccato è fa legge.	56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin comes from the Law.
57 Ma grazie a Dio, il quale c'ha dato vittoria per Gesù Cristo Signor nostro.	57 Thank God, then, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.
58 Per la qual cosa, fratelli miei cari, siate stabili, ed immobili, abbondando sempre nell'opera del Signore, poichè sapete, come il vostro travaglio non è infruttuoso nel Signore.	58 So, my dear brothers, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord's work,being sure that in the Lord none of your labours is wasted.
