1 Il settimo anno farai la remissione,	1 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.
2 La quale si adempirà in questo modo: Colui che ha qualche credito con un amico, o prossimo, o fratello suo, non potrà ripeterlo, perché questo è l’anno della remissione del Signore.	2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it;he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD's release.
3 Potrai esigere il tuo dal forestiero, e da colui che è venuto d'altronde ad abitare con te: non avrai diritto di farti pagare dal concittadino, e prossimo tuo.	3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;
4 E generalmente non saravvi tra voi nissun povero, o che chieda limosina, affinché ti benedica il Signore Dio tuo nella terra, di cui egli ti darà il possesso;	4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:
5 Purché tu ascolti la voce del Signore Dio tuo, e facci tutte le cose, ch'egli comanda, e le quali io oggi ti annunzio, egli ti benedirà, conforme ha promesso.	5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
6 Tu impresterai a molte genti, e non prenderai in prestito da veruno. Avrai dominio sopra molte nazioni, e nissuno avrà dominio sopra di te.	6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations,but they shall not reign over thee.
7 Se uno de’ tuoi fratelli (il quale abita dentro le mura della tua patria nella terra, che il Signore Dio tuo ti darà) si è ridotto in povertà; non indurerai il cuor tuo, né ritirerai la tua mano,	7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
8 Ma l'allargherai col povero, e gli presterai quel che tu conosci, che gli abbisogna.	8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
9 Bada di non lasciarti preoccupare da un empio pensiero, onde tu dica in cuor tuo: È vicino l'anno settimo di remissione: e non degni di uno sguardo il povero tuo fratello, non volendo imprestargli quel ch'ei domanda: affinché non alzi egli le grida al Signore contro di te, e tu non ti facci reo di gran peccato:	9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
10 Ma gli darai volentieri: e non ti porterai con astuzia, quando fa d'uopo di provvedere alle sue indigenze, affinché ti benedica il Signore Dio tuo in ogni tempo, e in tutto quello che tu intraprenda.	10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11 Non mancheranno poveri nella terra, dove tu abiterai: per questo io ti comando di allargare la mano verso il tuo fratello necessitoso e povero, che teco dimora nella stessa terra.	11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
12 Quando sarà stato venduto a te un tuo fratello Ebreo, o una sorella Ebrea, dopo che ti avrà servito per sei anni, il settimo anno li rimetterai in libertà.	12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman , be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.
13 E quelli, a cui dai libertà, non permetterai, che se ne vadano colle mani vote.	13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
14 Ma darai loro per viatico qualche cosa de’ tuoi greggi, e del tuo granaio, e del tuo strettoio, dacché riguardo a queste cose il Signore Dio tuo ti ha data la benedizione.	14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
15 Ricordati, che tu ancora fosti schiavo nella terra d'Egitto, e il Signore Dio tuo ti liberò, e per questo io ti fo adesso questo comando.	15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.
16 Ma se quegli dirà: Io non voglio andarmene: perché vuol bene a te, e alla tua casa, e conosce di star bene con te:	16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
17 Prenderai una lesina, e forerai l'orecchia di lui alla porta della tua casa, ed ei ti servirà per sempre: lo stesso farai alla schiava.	17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
18 Quando li metterai in libertà, non guardarli di mal occhio: dappoiché come un mercenario, che lavora per la mercede, ha egli a te servito per sei anni: affinché il Signore Dio tuo ti benedica in tutto quello che fai.	18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.
19 Consacrerai al Signore Dio tuo tutti i primogeniti maschi, che nascono da' tuoi armenti, e dalle tue pecore. Non metterai al lavoro il primogenito del bue, e non toserai i primogeniti delle pecore.	19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
20 Nel cospetto del Signore Dio tuo li mangerai ogni anno tu, e la tua famiglia nel luogo eletto dal Signore.	20 Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
21 Ma se avrà qualche difetto, o sarà zoppo, o cieco, o deforme in qualche parte, o stroppiato, il primogenito non sarà immolato al Signore Dio tuo:	21 And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
22 Ma lo mangerai dentro le porte della tua città: tanto l'uomo mondo, come l'immondo ne mangeranno egualmente, come si fa della capra, e del cervo.	22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
23 Solamente osserverai di non mangiare del loro sangue; ma lo spargerai, come l'acqua, per terra.	23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
