1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai, l'anno secondo dopo l'uscita dall'Egitto, ilprimo mese, e disse:	1 In the first month of the year following their departure from the land of Egypt, the Lord said to Moses in the desert of Sinai,
2 Facciano i figliuoli d'Israele la Pasqua nel dì stabilito,	2 "Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.
3 Il dì decimo quarto di questo mese alla sera, secondo tutte le cerimonie, e i riti di essa.	3 The evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month is the prescribed time when you shall celebrate it, observing all its rules and regulations."
4 E Mosè comandò a' figliuoli d'Israele, che facessero la Pasqua.	4 Moses, therefore, told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover.
5 Ed ei la fecero al tempo stabilito, il quartodecimo giorno del mese alla sera presso ilmonte Sinai. I figliuoli d'Israele fecer tutte le cose, come aveva ordinato il Signore aMosè.	5 And they did so, celebrating the Passover in the desert of Sinai during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of the first month, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
6 Quand'ecco, che alcuni, che erano immondi per causa di un morto, e non potevano far laPasqua in quel giorno, si accostarono a Mosè ed Aronne.	6 There were some, however, who were unclean because of a human corpse and so could not keep the Passover that day. These men came up to Moses and Aaron that same day
7 E disser loro: Noi siamo immondi per causa d'un morto: perché ci è egli tolto di poter fareobblazione al Signore nel tempo stabilito co' figliuoli d'Israele?	7 and said, "Although we are unclean because of a corpse, why should we be deprived of presenting the LORD'S offering at its proper time along with the other Israelites?"
8 Rispose loro Mosè: Aspettate, che io consulti il Signore intorno a quel ch'ei dispongariguardo a voi.	8 Moses answered them, "Wait until I learn what the LORD will command in your regard."
9 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	9 The LORD then said to Moses:
10 Tu dirai a' figliuoli d'Israele: Se un uomo del vostro popolo è immondo a causa d'un morto,od è lungi in viaggio, ei farà la Pasqua del Signore	10 "Speak to the Israelites and say: If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean because of a corpse, or if he is absent on a journey, he may still keep the LORD'S Passover.
11 Il secondo mese, il quartodecimo giorno del mese alla sera: ei la mangerà cogli azzimi, ecolle lattughe selvatiche:	11 But he shall keep it in the second month, during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of that month, eating it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs,
12 Non ne serberà nulla per fino alla mattina, e non romperà nissuno delle sue ossa; osserveràtutti i riti della Pasqua.	12 and not leaving any of it over till morning, nor breaking any of its bones, but observing all the rules of the Passover.
13 Ma se uno è mondo, e non è per viaggio, e contuttoció non ha fatto la Pasqua, saràsterminata quell'anima dalla società del suo popolo, perché non ha offerto al Signore ilsacrifizio nel tempo stabilito: egli pagherà il fio del suo peccato.	13 However, anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, who yet fails to keep the Passover, shall be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD'S offering at the prescribed time. That man shall bear the consequences of his sin.
14 Parimento se vi saranno tra voi degli stranieri, o venuti d'altro paese, ei faran la Pasquadel Signore secondo le sue cerimonie e riti. Lo stesso comando osserveranno tra voi ilforestiere e l'abitante del paese.	14 "If an alien who lives among you wishes to keep the LORD'S Passover, he too shall observe the rules and regulations for the Passover. You shall have the same law for the resident alien as for the native of the land."
15 Ora il giorno, in cui fu eretto il tabernacolo, lo ricoperse una nuvola. Dalla sera poi finoal mattino era sopra il padiglione come una fiamma:	15 On the day when the Dwelling was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the tent of the commandments; but from evening until morning it took on the appearance of fire over the Dwelling.
16 La cosa andava sempre così: di giorno il tabernacolo era coperto da una nuvola, di nottecome da una fiamma.	16 It was always so: during the day the Dwelling was covered by the cloud, which at night had the appearance of fire.
17 E quando si metteva in moto la nuvola che copriva il tabernacolo, si mettevano in viaggio ifigliuoli d'Israele, e ponevano gli alloggiamenti, ove quella fermavasi.	17 Whenever the cloud rose from the tent, the Israelites would break camp; wherever the cloud came to rest, they would pitch camp.
18 Al comando di Dio partivano, e al comando di lui piantavano le tende. Per tutto il tempo chela nuvola restava immota sul tabernacolo, non si partivano da quel luogo:	18 At the bidding of the LORD the Israelites moved on, and at his bidding they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the Dwelling, they remained in camp.
19 E se per molto tempo si stava ferma sopra di quello, i figliuoli d'Israele stavano attentiad ogni cenno del Signore, e non si movevano	19 Even when the cloud tarried many days over the Dwelling, the Israelites obeyed the LORD and would not move on;
20 Per tutti i giorni che si stava la nuvola sopra il tabernacolo. Al comando di Dio alzavan letende, e al comando di lui le ripiegavano.	20 yet sometimes the cloud was over the Dwelling only for a few days. It was at the bidding of the LORD that they stayed in camp, and it was at his bidding that they departed.
21 Se la nuvola era stata ferma dalla sera al mattino, e subitamente al primo albore siallontanava dal tabernacolo, si mettevano in viaggio: e se dopo un dì, e una notte ella siritirava, ripiegavano le tende.	21 Sometimes the cloud remained there only from evening until morning; and when it rose in the morning, they would depart. Or if the cloud lifted during the day, or even at night, they would then set out.
22 Se poi per due dì, o per un mese, o per più lungo spazio ella stava ferma sopra iltabernacolo, i figliuoli d'Israele si stavano nel medesimo luogo, e non si partivano: masubito che ella si allontanava, movevano il campo.	22 Whether the cloud tarried over the Dwelling for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not depart; but when it lifted, they moved on.
23 Alla parola del Signore piantavano le tende, e alla parola di lui si ponevano in istrada: estavano attenti ad ogni cenno del Signore, come questi avea ordinato per mezzo di Mosè.	23 Thus, it was always at the bidding of the LORD that they encamped, and at his bidding that they set out; ever heeding the charge of the LORD, as he had bidden them through Moses.
