Ezechiele 13

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 « Figlio dell'uomo profetizza contro i profeti d'Israele che fan da profeti, e dirai a quelli che profetizzano di loro testa: Udite la parola del Signore:	2 'Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel; prophesy, and say to those who make upprophecies out of their own heads, "Hear what Yahweh says:
3 Così parla il Signore Dio: Guai ai profeti insensati che van dietro al loro spirito, senza veder niente.	3 The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the foolish prophets who fol ow their own spirit andhave seen nothing!
4 Come volpi nei deserti sono i tuoi profeti, o Israele.	4 Your prophets, Israel, are like ruin-haunting jackals!
5 Voi non siete usciti contro, voi non avete alzato un muro a difesa della casa d'Israele, per star fermi nella battaglia nel giorno del Signore.	5 "You have not ventured into the breach; you have not built up the wal round the House of Israel, tohold fast in battle on the Day of Yahweh.
6 Hanno visioni vane, profetizzano menzogne quelli che dicono: « Dice il Signore », mentre il Signore non li ha mandati, e persistono nel confermare il discorso.	6 Theirs are futile visions and false predictions, who say: A prophecy from Yahweh, when Yahweh hasnot sent them; yet they expect their words to come true.
7 Non son visioni vane quelle che vedete? profezie menzognere quelle che pronunziate? E voi a dire: « Il Signore ha detto », mentre io non ho parlato per niente.	7 Have not the visions you see been futile, have not the predictions you make been false, although yousay: A prophecy of Yahweh, when I have not spoken?
8 Per questo, così parla il Signore Dio: Perché voi spacciate cose vane e avete visioni di menzogna, per questo eccomi a voi — dice il Signore Dio. —	8 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Because of your futile words and false predictions, I am nowagainst you -- declares Lord Yahweh.
9 La mia mano sarà sopra i profeti che han visioni vane e profetizzano menzogne: essi non saranno nel consiglio del mio popolo, non saranno scritti nei registri della casa d'Israele, non entreranno nella terra di Israele; e saprete che io sono il Signore —	9 My hand wil be against the prophets who have futile visions and give false predictions; they will not beadmitted to the council of my people, their names wil not be entered in the roll of the House of Israel, they willnot set foot on the soil of Israel; and they wil know that I am the Lord Yahweh.
10 perchè hanno ingannato il mio popolo col dire: « Pace! » e la pace non c'è. Egli edificava un muro, ed essi lo intonacavano colla, mota, senza paglia.	10 This is because they have misled my people by saying Peace! when there is no peace. When mypeople were repairing a wal , these men came and plastered it over!
11 Di' a costoro che intonacano senza mistura, che (il muro) cadrà, chè verrà l'acqua inondante: lancerò pietre smisurate che piomberanno dall'alto, e vento di tempesta che abbatterà.	11 Tel these plasterers: It will rain hard, it wil hail, it wil blow a gale,
12 Ecco il muro è caduto! E allora non vi si dirà: « Dov'è rintonaco fatto da voi? »	12 and down wil come the wal ! Will not people ask you: What has become of the plaster you slappedon it?
13 Per questo così parla il Signore Dio: « Io nel mio sdegno farò scatenare il vento delle tempeste, e nel mio furore verrà la pioggia inondante, e, nella mia collera, grosse pietre per sterminare.	13 Wel then, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am going to unleash a stormy wind in my fury, torrential rainin my anger, hailstones in my destructive fury,
14 E distruggerò il muro da voi intonacato senza mistura, lo farò pari alla terra, i suoi fondamenti saranno scoperti: egli cadrà, e (chi l'ha fatto) perirà in mezzo (alle sue rovine), e voi saprete che io sono il Signore.	14 and I shal shatter the wal you plastered and knock it down and lay its foundations bare. It wil faland you wil perish under it; then you wil know that I am Yahweh."
15 E sfogherò il mio sdegno contro il muro e con­tro quelli che lo intonacano sen­za mistura, e vi dirò: Il muro non esiste più, e non esiston più quel­li che lo intonacavano,	15 'When I have sated my anger on the wal and those who plastered it, I shall say to you, "The wal isgone, and so are those who plastered over it,
16 i profeti d'Israele che profetizzavano su Gerusalemme, e vedevano per lei visioni di pace, mentre la pace non c'era, — dice il Signore Dio.	16 the prophets of Israel who prophesy about Jerusalem and have visions of peace for her when there isno peace -- declares the Lord Yahweh."
17 E tu, o figlio dell'uomo, ri­volgi la tua faccia contro le figlie del mio popolo che profetizzandi loro testa, e profetizza controdi esse,	17 'Also, son of man, turn to the women of your people who make up prophecies out of their own heads;prophesy against them.
18 e di': Cosi parla il Si­gnore Dio: Guai a quelle che fan cuscini per tutti i bracci, e dei guanciali per le teste di ogni età, collo scopo di prendere anime, e prendendo le anime del mio po­polo davan vita alle loro anime,	18 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for women who sew ribbons round each wristand make head-cloths for people of al sizes, in their hunt for souls! Are you to hunt the souls of my people andkeep your own souls safe?
19 e mi disonoravano davanti al mio popolo per un pugno d'orzo e per un pezzo di pane, facendo morire le anime che non muoio­no, e vivere le anime che non vi­vono, ingannando il mio popolo che crede alle menzogne.	19 You dishonour me in front of my people for a few handfuls of barley, a few bits of bread, kil ing thosewho ought not to die and sparing those who ought not to live, lying to my people who love listening to lies.
20 Per questo, così parla il Signore Dio: Eccomi ai vostri cuscini, coi quali voi prendete le anime a volo. Io li straccerò nelle vostre braccia, io metterò in libertà le anime da voi prese, le anime le farò volar via.	20 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am now against your ribbons, with which you huntsouls like birds, and I shal tear them off your arms and free those souls whom you hunt like birds.
21 Io straccerò i vostri guanciali e libererò dal vostro potere il mio popolo; essi non saran più come preda nelle vostre mani; e voi saprete che io sono il Signore.	21 I shal tear your head-cloths to pieces and rescue my people from your clutches; no longer wil theybe fair game for you to ensnare. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.
22 Perchè voi con menzogna avete contristato il cuore del giusto, da me non contristato, e avete confortate le mani dell'empio, perchè non torni indietro dalla sua via cattiva, per vivere;	22 "For having intimidated with lies the heart of the upright whom I had done nothing to alarm, and forhaving encouraged the wicked not to give up wicked ways and so be saved,
23 per questo, voi non avrete più false visioni, non spaccerete più profezie: io toglierò dalle vostre mani il mio popolo, e voi saprete che io sono il Signore ».	23 very well, you wil have no more futile visions and make no more predictions, for I shal rescue mypeople from your clutches, and you will know that I am Yahweh." '
