1 Celebrate il Signore, perch'Egli è buono, perchè la sua misericordia dura in eterno.	1 Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.
2 Orsù, dica Israele che Egli è buono, che la sua misericordia dura in eterno.	2 Let Israel now say: For he is good, for his mercy is forever.
3 Orsù, dica la casa di Aronne che la sua misericordia dura in eterno.	3 Let the house of Aaron now say: For his mercy is forever.
4 Orsù, dicano quelli che temono il Signore che la sua misericordia dura in eterno.	4 Let those who fear the Lord now say: For his mercy is forever.
5 Tra le tribolazioni invocai il Signore, e il Signore m'ha esaudito, (ponendomi) al largo.	5 In my tribulation, I called upon the Lord. And the Lord heeded me with generosity.
6 Il Signore è mio aiuto: non temerò quello che mi può fare l'uomo.	6 The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me.
7 Il Signore è mio aiuto, ed io posso disprezzare i miei nemici:	7 The Lord is my helper. And I will look down upon my enemies.
8 Meglio confidare nel Signoro che confidare nell'uomo.	8 It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in man.
9 Meglio sperare nel Signore che sperare nei principi.	9 It is good to hope in the Lord, rather than to hope in leaders.
10 Tutte le genti m'avevan circondato, ma nel nome del Signore mi son vendicato contro di esse.	10 All the nations have surrounded me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.
11 Mi avevano accerchiato, messo alle strette, ma nel nome del Signore mi son vendicato contro di esse.	11 Surrounding me, they closed in on me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.
12 Mi avevano attorniato come pecchie, avevan divampato come fuoco nei pruni, ma nel nome del Signore mi son vendicato contro di esse.	12 They surrounded me like a swarm, and they burned like fire among the thorns. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.
13 Urtato, vacillavo, stavo per cadere; ma il Signore mi ha sorretto.	13 Having been pushed, I was overturned so as to fall. But the Lord took me up.
14 Il Signore è la mia forza, il mio cantico: Egli fu la mia salvezza.	14 The Lord is my strength and my praise. And he has become my salvation.
15 Il grido della gioia e della salvezza (echeggia) nelle tende dei giusti.	15 A voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.
16 La destra del Signore ha fatto miracoli, la destra del Signore m'ha esaltato, la destra del Signore ha fatto miracoli.	16 The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue. The right hand of the Lord has exalted me. The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue.
17 Io non morrò, ma vivrò e racconterò le opere del Signore.	17 I will not die, but I will live. And I will declare the works of the Lord.
18 Il Signore mi ha castigato severamente, ma non mi ha abbandonato alla morte.	18 When chastising, the Lord chastised me. But he has not delivered me over to death.
19 Apritemi le porte della giustizia: v'entrerò e darò lode al Signore.	19 Open the gates of justice to me. I will enter them, and I will confess to the Lord.
20 Questa è la porta del Signore: per essa entreranno i giusti.	20 This is the gate of the Lord. The just will enter by it.
21 Io ti celebrerò, perchè mi hai esaudito, perchè sei stato la mia salvezza.	21 I will confess to you because you have heard me. And you have become my salvation.
22 La pietra scartata dai costruttori è divenuta la pietra angolare.	22 The stone which the builders have rejected, this has become the head of the corner.
23 Questo è opera del Signore ed è cosa maravigliosa agli occhi nostri.	23 By the Lord has this been done, and it is a wonder before our eyes.
24 Questo è il giorno fatto dal Signore: esultiamo e rallegriamoci in esso.	24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us exult and rejoice in it.
25 O Signore, salvami, o Signore, concedi prosperità.	25 O Lord, grant salvation to me. O Lord, grant good prosperity.
26 Benedetto colui che viene nel nome del Signore! Noi vi abbiamo benedetti dalla casa del Signore.	26 Blessed is he who arrives in the name of the Lord. We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
27 Il Signore è Dio ed ha fatto risplendere la sua luce su di noi. Celebrate il giorno solenne con folti rami fino al corno dell'altare.	27 The Lord is God, and he has enlightened us. Establish a solemn day amid a dense crowd, even to the horn of the altar.
28 Tu sei il mio Dio, e ti darò lode; tu sei il mio Dio, e ti esalterò. Ti celebrerò, perchè m'hai esaudito e sei stato la mia salvezza.	28 You are my God, and I will confess to you. You are my God, and I will exalt you. I will confess to you, for you have heeded me. And you have become my salvation.
29 Celebrate il Signore, perchè Egli è buono, perchè la sua misericordia dura in eterno.	29 Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.
