1 - Nell'anno ventesimoquinto del nostro esilio, ai dieci del mese nell'entrar dell'anno che era il quattordicesimo dopo l'espugnazione della città, in questo giorno la mano del Signore fu sopra di me e là mi trasportò.	1 In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month,fourteen years to the day from the capture of the city, the hand of Yahweh was on me. He carried me away:
2 In visione divina mi trasportò nella terra di Israele e mi depose sopra una montagna molto elevata su cui era una città situata in direzione del mezzogiorno.	2 in divine visions, he carried me away to the land of Israel and put me down on a very high mountain,on the south of which there seemed to be built a city.
3 Mi fece entrare dentro, ed ecco un uomo che dall'aspetto rassomigliava a bronzo splendente e aveva in mano una corda di filo di lino e una pertica di canna da misurare e stava sulla porta.	3 He took me to it, and there I saw a man, whose appearance was like brass. He had a flax cord and ameasuring rod in his hand and was standing in the gateway.
4 Si rivolse quest'uomo a me e mi disse: «Figlio dell'uomo, fissa i tuoi occhi e drizza gli orecchi e poni mente a tutto quello che ti mostrerò, perchè sei stato qui condotto per vedere delle cose che dovrai tutte annunziare alla casa di Israele». Il recinto.	4 The man said to me, 'Son of man, look careful y, listen closely and pay attention to everything I showyou, since you have been brought here only for me to show it to you. Tel the House of Israel everything that yousee.'
5 Ed ecco che vedo un muro esterno che attorniava tutto in giro l'edifizio, e in mano di quell'uomo la canna da misurare, lunga sei cubiti e un palmo; egli misurò lo spessore della muratura che era di una canna e l'altezza egualmente di una canna.	5 Now, the Temple was surrounded on all sides by an outer wall. The man was holding a measuring rodsix cubits long, each cubit a forearm and a handsbreadth. He measured the thickness of this construction -- onerod; and its height -- one rod.
6 Poi venne al portone che prospettava in direzione dell'oriente e salì la scalinata e misurò il limitare della porta, largo una canna, cioè, uno dei limitari era largo una canna;	6 He went to the east gate, climbed the steps and measured its threshold: one rod deep.
7 e misurò una camera che aveva una canna in lungo e una canna in largo e tra le camere uno spazio di cinque cubiti,	7 Each guardroom one rod by one rod; and the piers between the guardrooms five cubits thick, and thethreshold of the gate inwards from the porch of the gate: one rod.

9 Poi misurò il vestibolo della porta che era di otto cubiti e i pilastri della facciata di due cubiti, perchè il vestibolo della porta era nell'interno.	9 He measured the porch of the gate: eight cubits; its piers: two cubits; the porch of the gate was at theinner end.
10 Or le camere della porta orientale erano tre di qua e tre di là, tutte tre d'una misura, e i pilastri della facciata da ambo i lati erano d'una misura.	10 There were three guardrooms on each side of the east gate, al three of the same size; the piersbetween them al of the same thickness each side.
11 E misurò la larghezza del vano della porta che era di dieci cubiti e la lunghezza della porta che era di tredici.	11 He measured the width of the entrance: ten cubits; and the width al down the gateway: thirteencubits.
12 E davanti le camere era un margine di un cubito, un cubito di margine da ogni lato e le camere erano di sei cubiti tanto di qua che di là.	12 There was a rail in front of the guardrooms; each rail on either side was one cubit. And theguardrooms on either side were six cubits square.
13 E misurò la porta dal tetto di una camera, al tetto della sua corrispondente, ed era di venticinque cubiti, essendo di rimpetto porta contro porta.	13 He measured the width of the gate from the back wal of one guardroom to the back wall of the other;it was twenty-five cubits across, the openings being opposite each other.
14 E fece un calcolo dei pilastri della facciata, di sessanta cubiti d'altezza e ai pilastri giungeva il cortile che attorniava la porta.	14 He measured the porch: twenty cubits; the court surrounded the gate on al sides.
15 Dalla facciata anteriore della porta per giungere alla facciata del vestibolo della porta interiore erano cinquanta cubiti.	15 From the front of the entrance gate, to the far end of the porch of the inner gate: fifty cubits.
16 Nelle camere e nei pilastri erano finestre oblique prospettanti al di dentro della porta dappertutto, similmente erano anche nei vestiboli finestre esterne tutt'intorno e sulla facciata dei pilastri disegni di palme.	16 Al round inside the gate there were trel ised windows in the guardrooms and in their piers; similarly,in the porch there were windows all round and palm trees on the piers.
17 Poi mi condusse nel cortile esteriore, ed ecco che vi erano delle sale e un pavimento lastricato di pietra per tutto il giro del cortile; trenta erano le sale intorno al cortile.	17 He then took me to the outer court, which had rooms and a paved terrace going all the way round;there were thirty rooms on this terrace.
18 Il pavimento di fronte alle porte che si spianava sulla linea delle porte era il più basso.	18 This terrace, which came up to the sides of the gates and matched their depth, was the LowerTerrace. He measured the width of the court,

There were seven steps up to it, and its porch was at the inner end.
23 E il cortile interno aveva una porta di rimpetto alla porta settentrionale e una di rimpetto a quella orientale; e prese la misura da una porta all'altra che era di cento cubiti.	23 In the inner court there was, opposite the north gate, a gate like the one opposite the east gate. Hemeasured the distance from one gate to the other: a hundred cubits.
24 Poi mi condusse dalla parte di mezzogiorno, ed ecco una porta che prospettava il mezzogiorno, e ne misurò la facciata e il vestibolo in dimensioni uguali alle antecedenti.	24 He took me to the south side where there was a south gate; he measured its guardrooms, piers andporch; they were of the same size as the others.
25 E misurò le sue finestre e i vestiboli, colle loro finestre tutto in giro, simili alle altre, sulla lunghezza di cinquanta cubiti e la larghezza di venticinque cubiti.	25 The gateway, as wel as its porch, had windows al round, like the windows of the others; it was fiftycubits long and twenty-five cubits wide,
26 Vi si ascendeva per sette gradini e in faccia all'entrata era il vestibolo e nella sua facciata palme intagliate una di qua e una di là.	26 and it had seven steps up to it; its porch was at the inner end and had palm trees on its piers, one oneither side.
27 Il cortile interiore aveva pure la sua porta da mezzogiorno, e la distanza da una porta all'altra porta misurava cento cubiti.	27 The inner court had a south gate; he measured the distance southwards from one gate to the other: ahundred cubits.
28 Allora m'introdusse nel cortile inferiore per la porta di mezzogiorno e misurò la porta uguale nelle dimensioni alle precedenti,	28 He then took me into the inner court by the south gate; he measured the south gate which was of thesame size as the others.

32 Poi m'introdusse nel cortile interiore, posto all'oriente, e misurò la porta che aveva le dimensioni delle precedenti.	32 He took me to the eastern part of the inner court and measured the gate. It was of the same size asthe others.
33 E le sue camere e i pilastri di fronte e il suo vestibolo come sopra, colle sue finestre e il vestibolo colle sue intorno, della lunghezza di cinquanta cubiti e di venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	33 Its guardrooms, piers and porch were of the same size as the others. The gateway, as well as itsporch, had windows al round; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
34 E il suo vestibolo, quel che dava, cioè, sul cortile esteriore, aveva palme intagliate nella facciata di qua e di là e di otto gradini era la sua scalinata.	34 Its porch gave on to the outer court. There were palm trees on its piers on either side and eight stepsleading up to it.

The gateway had windows alround; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

38 Alle varie sale l'entrata era nella facciata delle porte, là dentro lavavano gli olocausti.	38 There was a room, the entrance to which was in the porch of the gateway, where they washed theburnt offerings.
39 E nel vestibolo della porta erano collocate due mense di qua e due mense di là, nelle quali si riponeva l'olocausto che s'immolava pel peccato e pel delitto.	39 And inside the porch of the gateway were slabs, two on either side, for slaughtering the burntofferings, the sacrifice for sin and the sacrifice of reparation.
40 Ai lati esterni, per dove si accedeva all'entrata della porta prospettante il settentrione erano due mense e all'altro lato, davanti al vestibolo della porta, due altre mense.	40 Outside, at the approach to the entrance of the north gate, were two slabs, and on the other side, atthe porch end of the gate were two slabs.
41 Quattro mense di qua e quattro mense di là ai fianchi della porta, cioè, otto mense sulle quali immolavano.	41 There were four slabs on one side and four slabs on the other side of the gateway, eight slabs in all,on which the slaughtering was done.

44 Al di fuori della porta interiore erano le sale dei cantori nel cortile interiore che si estendeva a lato della porta prospettante il settentrione, e avevano le loro facciate in direzione del mezzogiorno, e un'altra a lato della porta orientale in direzione del settentrione.	44 Then he took me into the inner court; there were two rooms in the inner court, one on the side of thenorth gate, facing south, the other on the side of the south gate, facing north.
45 E mi disse: «Questa sala che prospetta dalla parte di mezzogiorno, sarà dei sacerdoti che vegliano a guardia del tempio.	45 He told me, 'The room looking south is for the priests responsible for the service of the Temple,
46 E la sala che guarda l'aquilone sarà dei sacerdoti che vegliano al ministero dell'altare; questi sono i figli di Sadoc, i soli che si accostano, tra i figli di Levi, al Signore per esercitare il ministero verso di lui».	46 and the room looking north is for the priests responsible for the service of the altar. These are thesons of Zadok, those of the sons of Levi who approach Yahweh to serve him.'
47 Poi misurò il cortile, che aveva cento cubiti di lunghezza e cento cubiti di larghezza in quadro. L'altare era in faccia al tempio.	47 He measured the court; it was a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide, a square with thealtar standing in front of the Temple.
48 Allora m'introdusse nel vestibolo del tempio e ne misurò il vestibolo, cinque cubiti di qua e cinque cubiti di là e la larghezza della porta, tre cubiti di qua e tre cubiti di là.	48 He took me to the Ulam of the Temple and measured the piers of the Ulam: five cubits either side;and the width of the entrance was three cubits either side.

E nella facciata vi erano colonne, una da una parte e una dall'altra.	49 The length of the Ulam was twenty cubits and its width twelve cubits. There were ten steps leadingup to it, and there were columns by the piers, one on either side.
