Ezechiele 14

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - E alcuni degli anziani di Israele vennero da me e si assisero d'accanto.	1 Next, some elders of Israel visited me and while they were sitting with me,
2 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	2 the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
3 «Figlio dell'uomo, questi individui hanno dato nel loro cuore ricetto alle loro infamie e hanno fatto buon viso allo scandalo della loro iniquità ed io interrogato dovrò loro rispondere?	3 'Son of man, these men have enshrined their foul idols in their hearts and placed the cause of theirsinning right before their eyes. Why should I let myself be consulted by them?
4 Parla dunque a loro e dirai: - Così dice il Signore Dio: L'uomo, chiunque sia della casa d'Israele, che dà nel suo cuore ricetto alle sue infamità e fa buon viso alle occasioni della sua iniquità, e poi venga dal profeta, volendo per suo mezzo interrogar me, gli risponderò ben io, il Signore, rinfacciandogli la moltitudine delle sue infamità;	4 So speak to them; tel them this, "Lord Yahweh says this: Every member of the House of Israel whoenshrines his foul idols in his heart and places the cause of his sinning right before his eyes, and who thenapproaches the prophet, wil get this answer from me, Yahweh, as the multiplicity of his idols deserves,
5 affinchè la casa d'Israele senta una stretta a quel cuore col quale si è allontanata da me per tutti i suoi idoli . -	5 and in this way I hope to win back the hearts of the House of Israel who have al been estranged fromme by their foul idols."
6 Dirai dunque alla casa d'Israele: - Così dice il Signore Dio: Convertitevi e ritraetevi dai vostri idoli, e a tutte le vostre abominazioni voltate faccia.	6 'So say to the House of Israel, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Come back, turn away from your foulidols, turn your backs on al your loathsome practices;
7 Perchè qualunque uomo della casa d'Israele, o di tra i proseliti stranieri che sono in Israele, si sarà alienato da me e avrà fatto il suo cuore ricettacolo d'idolatria, e la sua faccia ossequiente alle occasioni della sua iniquità e sia venuto da un profeta e per suo mezzo interroghi me, io risponderò a lui da pari mio.	7 for if any member of the House of Israel -- or any foreigner living in Israel -- deserts me to enshrine hisfoul idols in his heart and places the cause of his sinning right before his eyes and then approaches a prophet toconsult me through him, he will get his answer from me, Yahweh.
8 E mostrerò io la faccia a cotesto uomo, e lo renderò esempio e parabola a tutti, e lo raderò di mezzo al mio popolo; e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.	8 I shal set my face against that person; I shall make him an example and a byword; I shal rid mypeople of him, and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
9 E se il profeta, tratto nell'inganno, voglia pronunciare la sua parola, sono io il Signore che ho tratto in inganno quel profeta; e stenderò la mia mano sopra di lui e lo sterminerò di mezzo al mio popolo Israele.	9 And if the prophet is seduced into saying something, I, Yahweh, shall have seduced that prophet; Ishall point my finger at him and rid my people Israel of him.
10 La loro iniquità peserà grave su di essi, tanto l'iniquità di chi consulta, quanto l'iniquità di chi dà i responsi;	10 Both wil be punished for their guilt; the prophet's punishment wil be the same as that of the personwho consults him,
11 affinchè la casa d'Israele non vada più errando lungi da me, e non si contamini più colle tante sue scelleratezze; ma siano il mio popolo, e io sia il loro Dio -», dice il Signore degli eserciti.	11 so that the House of Israel wil never stray from me again or defile themselves again with thesecrimes, but be my people and I their God -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
12 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	12 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me:
13 «Figlio dell'uomo, supponi una terra che abbia peccato contro di me prevaricando nel mal fare; e io stenda su di essa la mia mano e tronchi ad essa ogni sostegno di pane e le mandi la fame, e faccia perire la sua gente e il suo bestiame.	13 'Son of man, when a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I point my finger at it anddestroy its supply of food, inflicting famine on it and denuding it of human and animal,
14 Anche se in mezzo di essa si trovassero questi tre uomini, Noè, Daniele e Giobbe, essi, colla loro giustizia, salveranno sè stessi, dice il Signore degli eserciti.	14 even if the three men, Noah, Danel and Job, were living in it, they would save no one but themselvesby their uprightness -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
15 Che se mandassi in quella terra un'invasione di bestie rapaci che la devastino, e diventi inabitabile senza più chi osi transitare, per timore delle fiere;	15 Were I to unleash wild beasts on that country to rob it of its children and reduce it to a desert whichno one would dare to cross because of the animals,
16 questi tre uomini, se in essa si trovassero, vivo io, dice il Signore Dio, non salveranno nè figliuoli nè figliuole, essi soli si salveranno, e la terra sarà messa in desolazione.	16 even if these three men were living there, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- they would not beable to save either son or daughter; they alone would be saved, and the country would become a desert.
17 E se farò venire sopra di quella terra la spada e le avrò detto: - Scorri la terra -; e avrò fatto perire la gente e il bestiame	17 Were I to bring the sword down on that country and say, "Sword, cross the country!" so as to denude it of human and animal,
18 e si trovassero in mezzo di essa questi tre uomini, vivo io, dice il Signore Dio, che non salveranno nè figliuoli nè figliuole, ma essi soli si salveranno.	18 even if these three men were living there, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- they would not beable to save either son or daughter; they alone would be saved.
19 E se manderò la peste sopra quella terra ed effonderò l'ira mia in una cruenta piaga su di essa sterminando la gente e il bestiame,	19 If I were to send the plague on that country and vent my fury on it by bloodshed, so as to denude it ofhuman and animal,
20 e Noè e Daniele e Giobbe si trovino in mezzo di essa, vivo io, dice il Signore Dio, non salveranno nè figliuoli nè figliuole, ma essi colla loro giustizia salveranno se stessi».	20 even if Noah and Danel and Job were living there, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- they wouldbe able to save neither son nor daughter, only themselves by their uprightness.
21 Perchè così dice il Signore Dio: «Se i quattro più malefici esecutori della mia giustizia, la spada, la fame, le bestie feroci e la peste io mandassi contro Gerusalemme per sterminare da essa la gente e il bestiame,	21 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "Even if I send my four dreadful scourges on Jerusalem-sword, famine,wild beasts and plague -- to denude it of human and animal,
22 vi sarà tuttavia scampo per un residuo di essi, che condurranno fuori figliuoli e figliuole. Eccoli che giungono a voi e vedrete come si diportano e come agiscono; e vi racconsolerete del male che ho mandato a Gerusalemme e di tutto il resto che ho fatto venire su di essa.	22 even so, there wil be a remnant left, a few men and women who come through; when they come toyou and you see their conduct and actions, you wil take comfort in spite of the disaster which I have brought onJerusalem, in spite of al I have brought on her.
23 E vi racconsoleranno, quando avrete visto come si diportano e come agiscono; e conoscerete che non senza ragione ho fatto tutto quello che ho fatto in essa», dice il Signore Dio.	23 They will comfort you, when you see their conduct and actions, and so you wil know that I have notdone in vain al I have done to her -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
