Ezechiele 13

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 «Figlio dell'uomo, pronuncia un vaticinio sui profeti d'Israele che profetizzano. E dirai a quei che fanno profezie di loro testa: - Ascoltate la parola del Signore:	2 'Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel; prophesy, and say to those who make upprophecies out of their own heads, "Hear what Yahweh says:
3 Così dice il Signore: Sciagurati quei profeti fatui, che vanno dietro al loro spirito e nulla vedono!	3 The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the foolish prophets who fol ow their own spirit andhave seen nothing!
4 O Israele, i tuoi profeti erano volpi del deserto.	4 Your prophets, Israel, are like ruin-haunting jackals!
5 Voi non siete accorsi a tener fronte, non avete opposto un argine per la casa d'Israele, col resistere alla lotta nel giorno del Signore.	5 "You have not ventured into the breach; you have not built up the wal round the House of Israel, tohold fast in battle on the Day of Yahweh.
6 Hanno finte visioni, fanno presagi bugiardi, dicendo: Il Signore manda a dire: mentre il Signore non li ha mandati, e persistono ad accertare la parola.	6 Theirs are futile visions and false predictions, who say: A prophecy from Yahweh, when Yahweh hasnot sent them; yet they expect their words to come true.
7 Non è forse vero che quel che avete veduto era una finzione? e che avete raccontato presagi falsi? E voi dite: il Signore ha detto, quando io non ho parlato?-».	7 Have not the visions you see been futile, have not the predictions you make been false, although yousay: A prophecy of Yahweh, when I have not spoken?
8 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: «Giacchè avete detto ciò che non è e avete fatto previsioni mendaci, eccomi io a voi, dice il Signore Dio.	8 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Because of your futile words and false predictions, I am nowagainst you -- declares Lord Yahweh.
9 E la mia mano sarà sopra i profeti che fingono di vedere e presagiscono menzogne; nell'adunanza del popolo mio non compariranno e nell'albo della casa d'Israele non saranno iscritti; e non rientreranno nella terra d'Israele e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.	9 My hand wil be against the prophets who have futile visions and give false predictions; they will not beadmitted to the council of my people, their names wil not be entered in the roll of the House of Israel, they willnot set foot on the soil of Israel; and they wil know that I am the Lord Yahweh.
10 Perchè essi hanno tratto in inganno il mio popolo dicendo: - C'è la pace! - E la pace non è. Questo fabbricava il muro, e quelli lo rifermavano con intonaco senza presa.	10 This is because they have misled my people by saying Peace! when there is no peace. When mypeople were repairing a wal , these men came and plastered it over!
11 Dirai a costoro, che rifermano con intonaco senza mastice, che tutto finirà per cadere. Perchè farò imperversare la pioggia, e scatenerò una gragnuola grossa e impetuosa, e una bufera di vento rovinoso;	11 Tel these plasterers: It will rain hard, it wil hail, it wil blow a gale,
12 ed ecco, il muro ha ceduto! E chi non dirà a voi allora: - Dov'è l'intonacatura con cui l'avete rifermato? -».	12 and down wil come the wal ! Will not people ask you: What has become of the plaster you slappedon it?
13 Perciò il Signore Dio dice così: «Un vento tempestoso scatenerò nella mia indignazione, una pioggia irruente nel mio furore e grandine grossa nell'ira mia sterminatrice,	13 Wel then, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am going to unleash a stormy wind in my fury, torrential rainin my anger, hailstones in my destructive fury,
14 e atterrerò il muro che avete intonacato senza mastice e lo raderò al suolo e metterò allo scoperto le sue fondamenta, crollerà e tutto sarà sterminato in mezzo ad essa; e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.	14 and I shal shatter the wal you plastered and knock it down and lay its foundations bare. It wil faland you wil perish under it; then you wil know that I am Yahweh."
15 E darò soddisfazione piena al mio sdegno contro il muro e contro coloro che l'hanno intonacato senza mastice e dirò a voi: non c'è più nè il muro nè quelli che lo intonacavano,	15 'When I have sated my anger on the wal and those who plastered it, I shall say to you, "The wal isgone, and so are those who plastered over it,
16 i profeti di Israele che profetizzano sopra Gerusalemme, che vedono in visione la pace e la pace non c'è, dice il Signore.	16 the prophets of Israel who prophesy about Jerusalem and have visions of peace for her when there isno peace -- declares the Lord Yahweh."
17 E tu, figlio dell'uomo, rinfaccia alle figlie del popolo tuo e pronunzia un vaticinio su di loro;	17 'Also, son of man, turn to the women of your people who make up prophecies out of their own heads;prophesy against them.
18 e dirai: - Così dice il Signore Dio: Sciagurate quelle che imbottiscono cuscini per ogni gomito e guanciali da testa per ogni età, per uccellare le anime; e dopo che hanno nelle panie le anime del mio popolo, promettono loro la vita.	18 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for women who sew ribbons round each wristand make head-cloths for people of al sizes, in their hunt for souls! Are you to hunt the souls of my people andkeep your own souls safe?
19 E mettevano me a profanazione davanti al mio popolo, per una manata d'orzo e per un tozzo di pane, dando per morte le persone che non sarebbero morte e facendo presagio di vita a quelle che non vivrebbero, spacciando menzogne al mio popolo che ci crede -».	19 You dishonour me in front of my people for a few handfuls of barley, a few bits of bread, kil ing thosewho ought not to die and sparing those who ought not to live, lying to my people who love listening to lies.
20 Per questo così dice il Signore Dio: «Ecco me e i vostri piumini coi quali uccellate le volanti anime; io ve li squarcerò nelle vostre braccia, e lascerò libere le anime che voi accalappiate alle loro penne.	20 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am now against your ribbons, with which you huntsouls like birds, and I shal tear them off your arms and free those souls whom you hunt like birds.
21 E squarcerò i vostri guanciali, e libererò il mio popolo dal vostro artiglio e non saranno più oltre preda delle vostre mani; e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.	21 I shal tear your head-cloths to pieces and rescue my people from your clutches; no longer wil theybe fair game for you to ensnare. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.
22 Giacchè voi avete contristato colle vostre menzogne il cuore del giusto che io non aveva contristato, e avete rassicurata la mano dell'empio, affinchè non si ritraesse dalla sua malvagia strada e vivesse.	22 "For having intimidated with lies the heart of the upright whom I had done nothing to alarm, and forhaving encouraged the wicked not to give up wicked ways and so be saved,
23 Per questo, non vedrete più finte visioni e oracoli non ne spaccerete più; e svincolerò il popolo mio dalle vostre mani e conoscerete che io sono il Signore».	23 very well, you wil have no more futile visions and make no more predictions, for I shal rescue mypeople from your clutches, and you will know that I am Yahweh." '
