Geremia 33

1 - E il Signore comunicò una seconda volta la sua parola a Geremia mentre stava ancora chiuso nel cortile del carcere dicendogli:	1 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still confined to the atrium of the prison, saying:
2 «Questo dice il Signore, colui che sta per effettuarlo, eseguirlo e compierlo, il cui nome è il Signore.	2 “Thus says the Lord, who will prepare, and form, and accomplish it; the Lord is his name.
3 Chiamami ed io ti esaudirò e ti manifesterò le cose grandi e irremovibili che tu non conosci.	3 Cry out to me and I will heed you. And I will announce to you great things, things that are certain, though you do not know them.
4 Perchè, così dice il Signore Dio di Israele alle case di questa città e alle case del re di Giuda che sono demolite, e agli ordigni e alla spada	4 For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to the houses of this city, and to the houses of the king of Judah, which have been destroyed, and to the fortifications, and to the sword
5 di coloro che vengono per combattere coi Caldei e per riempirle di cadaveri umani ch'io ho colpiti nel mio furore e nella mia indignazione, col nascondere la mia faccia a questa città per tutta la loro malvagità.	5 of those who have arrived, so that they may fight with the Chaldeans, and so that they may have their fill of the dead bodies of the men whom I have struck down in my fury and in my indignation, concealing my face from this city, because of all their wickedness:
6 Ecco che io prenderò cura delle sue ferite e della sua guarigione e li guarirò e farò loro manifesta la impetrazione della pace e il suo avveramento.	6 Behold, I will lead over them scars and health, and I will cure them. And I will reveal to them an invocation of peace and truth.
7 E ritornerò la schiavitù di Giuda e la schiavitù di Gerusalemme alla libertà, e li ristabilirò come da principio.	7 And I will convert the turning away of Judah and the turning away of Jerusalem. And I will build them up, just as from the beginning.
8 E li monderò da ogni iniquità da loro commessa contro di me, e farò remissione di tutte le loro colpe colle quali mi avevano offeso e disprezzato.	8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me. And I will forgive all their iniquities, by which they have offended against me and have despised me.
9 E ciò sarà per me rinomanza e godimento e lode ed esultanza in tutte le genti della terra che avranno udito tutto il bene che io sono per fare a loro, e resteranno sorpresi e sbalorditi per tutto il bene e per tutta la pace che a loro concederò.	9 And this will be for me: a name, and a joy, and a praise, and an exultation, among all the nations of the earth who will hear about all the good things that I will accomplish for them. And they will be afraid and troubled over all these good things, and over all the peace, that I will accomplish for them.
10 Così dice il Signore: - Si udiranno ancora in questo luogo, che voi dite essere deserto, perchè non vi sono più nè uomini nè animali; nelle città di Giuda, fuori di Gerusalemme, che sono in desolazione senza uomini, senza abitanti, senza bestiami; si udiranno ancora	10 Thus says the Lord: Still shall there be heard in this place, (which you say is desolate, because there is neither man nor beast,) and in the cities of Judah and outside of Jerusalem, (which are desolate, without man, and without an inhabitant and without cattle,)
11 voci giulive, voci festose, voci di sposi e di spose, voci di genti che dicono: "Lodate il Signore degli eserciti, perchè il Signore è buono, perchè in eterno è la sua misericordia!", e che recano i loro voti nella casa del Signore; perchè ritornerò la schiavitù di questa terra alla libertà primiera - dice il Signore.	11 the voice of gladness and the voice of rejoicing, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: ‘Confess to the Lord of hosts! For the Lord is good! For his mercy is eternal!’ and the voice of those fulfilling their vows in the house of the Lord. For I will lead back the turning away of the land, just as from the beginning, says the Lord.”
12 Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: - Vi saranno ancora in questo luogo deserto, privo di uomini e di animali, e per tutte le sue città una dimora per i pastori ove faranno sdraiare i greggi.	12 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Still shall there be in this place, (which is desolate without man and without beast,) and in all of its cities: a habitation for the shepherds giving rest to their flocks.
13 Nelle città della montagna, nelle città della pianura, nelle città che sono nel mezzogiorno e nella terra di Beniamino e nei dintorni di Gerusalemme e nelle città di Giuda passeranno ancora le greggi sotto la mano di colui che le conta, dice il Signore.	13 For even in the cities on the mountains, and in the cities on the plains, and in the cities that are toward the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and all around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, still shall the flocks travel by the hand of him who numbers them, says the Lord.
14 Ecco che i giorni vengono, dice il Signore, e adempirò la parola buona che ho detto alla casa d'Israele e alla casa di Giuda.	14 Behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the good word that I have spoken to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
15 In quei giorni e in quel tempo farò germogliare a David un germe di giustizia e metterà in vigore il giudizio e la giustizia sulla terra.	15 In those days and at that time, I will cause the seedling of justice to spring up from David, and he will accomplish judgment and justice upon the earth.
16 In quei giorni Giuda sarà salvato e Gerusalemme abiterà in tutta sicurezza e questo sarà il nome con cui lo chiameranno: "Il Signore giusto nostro". -	16 In those days, Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in confidence. And this is the name that they will call him: ‘The Lord, our Just One.’
17 Perchè così dice il Signore: - Non verrà a mancare, dalla stirpe di David, uomo che segga sul trono della casa di Israele,	17 For thus says the Lord: There shall not cease to be a man from David sitting upon the throne of the house of Israel.
18 e dalla stirpe dei sacerdoti e dei leviti non verranno a mancare uomini nel mio cospetto che offrano olocausti e ardano sacrifizi e scannino vittime tutti i giorni -».	18 And there shall not cease to be a man from the priests and from the Levites before my face, who offers holocausts, and burns sacrifices, and kills victims, for days without end.”
19 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia dicendo:	19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:
20 «Così dice il Signore: - Se potrà andar fallito il patto mio col giorno e il patto mio colla notte in guisa che a suo tempo non sia più giorno, non più notte a suo tempo,	20 “Thus says the Lord: If my covenant with the day is able to be nullified, or my covenant with the night, such that there would be no day and no night in their time,
21 potrà andar anche fallito il patto mio con David mio servo in guisa che non sia da lui più figlio che regni sul suo trono, non più leviti, non sacerdoti ministri miei.	21 then, too, my covenant with David, my servant, may be nullified, such that he would not have a son who reigns upon his throne, with both the Levites and the priests as my ministers.
22 Come le stelle del cielo che non si possono numerare e le arene del mare che non si possono calcolare, così moltiplicherò in numero il seme di David mio servo e i leviti miei ministri -».	22 Just as the stars of heaven are not able to be numbered, and the sand of the sea is not able to be measured, so will I multiply the offspring of David, my servant, and the Levites, my ministers.”
23 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia dicendogli:	23 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:
24 «Hai visto questo popolo che cosa è andato a dire? - Le due famiglie, dice, che il Signore aveva elette sono state rigettate! - Hanno deprezzato il popolo mio al punto che non merita più, a loro avviso, l'onor di nazione.	24 “Have you not seen what this people has spoken? They say: ‘The two families which the Lord had chosen have been rejected.’ And so they have despised my people, as if they were no longer a nation in their sight.
25 Ebbene, così dice il Signore: - Se il patto col giorno e colla notte, se le leggi al cielo e alla terra io non ho fissate,	25 Thus says the Lord: If I have not established my covenant with the day and the night, and my laws over heaven and earth,
26 allora anche il seme di Giacobbe e di David mio servo rigetterò senza prendere dalla sua discendenza principi del seme di Abramo, Isacco e Giacobbe; poichè ritornerò la loro schiavitù in libertà e avrò pietà di essi -».	26 then truly I will also cast aside the offspring of Jacob, and of David, my servant, so that I do not take up any of his offspring to be leaders over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will lead back their turning way, and I will take pity on them.”
