1 - Cantico de' gradini. Dal profondo io grido a te, o Signore,	1 A song of ascents. Much have they oppressed me from my youth, now let Israel say.
2 Signore, ascolta la mia voce. Siano attenti i tuoi orecchi alla voce della mia supplica.	2 Much have they oppressed me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed.
3 Se badi alle iniquità, o Signore, Signore, chi mai potrà reggere?	3 Upon my back the plowers plowed, as they traced their long furrows.
4 Ma presso di te è misericordia e per via della tua legge io confido in te, o Signore. Confida l'anima mia nella tua parola,	4 But the just LORD cut me free from the ropes of the yoke of the wicked.
5 spera l'anima mia nel Signore.	5 May they be scattered in disgrace, all who hate Zion.
6 Dalla vigilia del mattino sino a nottesperi Israele nel Signore.	6 May they be like grass on the rooftops withered in early growth,
7 Perchè presso il Signore è la misericordia, e copioso riscatto è presso di lui.	7 Never to fill the reaper's hands, nor the arms of the binders of sheaves,
8 Ed egli riscatterà Israeleda tutte le sue iniquità.	8 With none passing by to call out: "The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD!"
