1 - Cantico de' gradini. Dal profondo io grido a te, o Signore,	1 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
2 Signore, ascolta la mia voce. Siano attenti i tuoi orecchi alla voce della mia supplica.	2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
3 Se badi alle iniquità, o Signore, Signore, chi mai potrà reggere?	3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
4 Ma presso di te è misericordia e per via della tua legge io confido in te, o Signore. Confida l'anima mia nella tua parola,	4 The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
5 spera l'anima mia nel Signore.	5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
6 Dalla vigilia del mattino sino a nottesperi Israele nel Signore.	6 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
7 Perchè presso il Signore è la misericordia, e copioso riscatto è presso di lui.	7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
8 Ed egli riscatterà Israeleda tutte le sue iniquità.	8 Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
