1 La sapienza favorì le loro imprese per mezzo di un santo profeta.	1 She made their affairs prosper through the holy prophet.
2 Attraversarono un deserto inospitale, fissarono le tende in terreni impraticabili,	2 They journeyed through the uninhabited desert, and in solitudes they pitched their tents;
3 resistettero agli avversari, respinsero i nemici.	3 they withstood enemies and took vengeance on their foes.
4 Ebbero sete e ti invocarono e fu data loro acqua da una rupe scoscesa, rimedio alla sete da una dura roccia.	4 When they thirsted, they called upon you, and water was given them from the sheer rock, assuagement for their thirst from the hard stone.

20 Anche senza queste potevano cadere con un soffio, perseguitati dalla giustizia e dispersi dal tuo soffio potente, ma tu hai disposto ogni cosa con misura, calcolo e peso.	20 Even without these, they could have been killed at a single blast, pursued by retribution and winnowed out by your mighty spirit; But you have disposed all things by measure and number and weight.
21 Prevalere con la forza ti è sempre possibile; chi si opporrà alla potenza del tuo braccio?	21 For with you great strength abides always; who can resist the might of your arm?
22 Tutto il mondo, infatti, davanti a te è come polvere sulla bilancia, come una stilla di rugiada mattutina caduta sulla terra.	22 Indeed, before you the whole universe is as a grain from a balance, or a drop of morning dew come down upon the earth.
23 Hai compassione di tutti, perché tutto puoi, chiudi gli occhi sui peccati degli uomini, aspettando il loro pentimento.	23 But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things; and you overlook the sins of men that they may repent.
24 Tu infatti ami tutte le cose che esistono e non provi disgusto per nessuna delle cose che hai creato; se avessi odiato qualcosa, non l’avresti neppure formata.	24 For you love all things that are and loathe nothing that you have made; for what you hated, you would not have fashioned.
25 Come potrebbe sussistere una cosa, se tu non l’avessi voluta? Potrebbe conservarsi ciò che da te non fu chiamato all’esistenza?	25 And how could a thing remain, unless you willed it; or be preserved, had it not been called forth by you?
26 Tu sei indulgente con tutte le cose, perché sono tue, Signore, amante della vita.	26 But you spare all things, because they are yours, O LORD and lover of souls,
