18 Iesu Christi autem generatio sic erat. Cum esset desponsata mater eius Maria Ioseph, antequam convenirent inventa estin utero habens de Spiritu Sancto.	18 והלדת ישוע המשיח כה היתה מרים אמו ארשה ליוסף ובטרם יבא אליה נמצאת הרה לרוח הקדש
19 Ioseph autem vir eius, cum esset iustus et nollet eam traducere, voluitocculte dimittere eam.	19 ויוסף בעלה היה איש צדיק ולא אבה לתתה לבוז ויאמר בלבו לשלחה בסתר
20 Haec autem eo cogitante, ecce angelus Domini in somnisapparuit ei dicens: “ Ioseph fili David, noli timere accipere Mariam coniugemtuam. 21 pariet autem filium,et vocabis nomen eius Iesum: ipse enim salvum faciet populum suum a peccatiseorum ”.	21 והיא ילדת בן וקראת את שמו ישוע כי הוא יושיע את עמו מעונותיהם
22 Hoc autem totum factum est, ut adimpleretur id, quod dictum est a Domino perprophetam dicentem:	22 ותהי כל זאת למלאת את אשר דבר יהוה ביד הנביא לאמר
23 “ Ecce, virgo in utero habebit et pariet filium, etvocabunt nomen eius Emmanuel ”, quod est interpretatum Nobiscum Deus.	23 הנה העלמה הרה וילדת בן וקראו שמו עמנואל אשר פרושו האל עמנו
24 Exsurgens autem Ioseph a somno fecit, sicut praecepit ei angelus Domini, etaccepit coniugem suam;	24 וייקץ יוסף משנתו ויעש כאשר צוהו מלאך יהוה ויקח אליו את אשתו
25 et non cognoscebat eam, donec peperit filium, etvocavit nomen eius Iesum.	25 ולא ידעה עד כי ילדה בן את בכורה ויקרא את שמו ישוע
