1 Or il re Salomone regnava sopra tutto Israele:	1 Now king Solomon was reigning over all of Israel.
2 E questi erano i ministri, ch'egli avea: Azaria figliuolo di Sadoc sommo Sacerdote:	2 And these were the leaders that he had: Azariah, the son of Zadok, the priest;
3 Elihoreph, e Ahia figliuoli di Sisa erano segretari: Josaphath figliuolo di Ahilud era scrivano:	3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, the scribes; Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, the keeper of records;
4 Banaia figliuolo di Joiada capo dell'esercito: e Sadoc, e Abiathar sommi Sacerdoti:	4 Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, over the army; and Zadok, and Abiathar, priests;
5 Azaria figliuolo di Nathan era capo di quelli, che stavano attorno al re: Zabud figliuolo di Nathan, sacerdote era l'amico del re:	5 Azariah, the son of Nathan, over those who were assisting the king; Zabud, the son of Nathan, the priest, the friend of the king;
6 E Ahisar maggiordomo: e Adoniram figliuolo di Abda avea la soprinten­denza de' tributi.	6 and Ahishar, first ruler of the house; and Adoniram, the son of Abda, over the tribute.
7 Or Salomone avea dodici uffiziali sparsi per tutto Israele, i quali sommi­nistravano il vitto al re, e alla sua casa: perocché per ciascun mese dell'anno uno di essi somministrava il necessario.	7 And Solomon had twelve commanders over all of Israel, who offered yearly provisions for the king and his house. For each was ministering the necessities, by each month of the year.
8 E questi sono i loro nomi: Ben-Hur, sul monte Ephraim:	8 And these are their names: Benhur, on mount Ephraim;
9 Ben-Decar a Macces, e a Salebim, e aBeth-sames, e ad Elon, e a Bethanan:	9 Bendeker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon, and in Beth-hanan;
10 Ben-Hesed in Aruboth: ed egli aveva anche Socho, e tutto il paese di Epher:	10 Benhesed, in Arubboth: his was Socoh and the entire land of Hepher;
11 Ben-Abinadab, il quale avea tutto il paese di Nephathdor; egli avea per moglie Taphetn figliuola di Salomone:	11 Benabinadab, to whom was all of Naphath-Dor, who had Taphath, the daughter of Solomon, as wife;
12 Bana figliuolo di Ahilud aveva ispezione a Tnanac, e a Mageddo, e a tutto il paese di Bethsan, che è presso Sarthana sotto Jezrael da Bethsan si­no ad Abelmehula dirimpetto a Jec-maan:	12 Baana, the son of Ahilud, who was reigning in Taanach, and Megiddo, and all of Bethshean, which is beside Zarethan and below Jezreel, from Bethshean as far as Abelmeholah, opposite Jokmeam;
13 Ben-Gaber a Ramoth di Galaad: e aveva i villaggi di Avoth-Jair del fi­gliuolo di Manasse in Galaad; ed ei presedeva a tutto il paese di Argob, che e in Basan, a sessanta città grandi, e murate, le quali avean le sbarre di bronzo:	13 Bengeber, in Ramoth Gilead, who had the town of Jair, the son of Manasseh, in Gilead; the same was first in the entire region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls that had bronze bars;
14 Ahinadab figliuolo di Addo sopraintendeva a Manaim:	14 Ahinadab, the son of Iddo, who was first in Mahanaim;
15 Achimaas (stava) a Nephtali: ed egli pure sposò Basemath figliuola di Salomone:	15 Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, and he also had Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, in marriage;
16 Baana figliuolo di Hasi in Aser, e in Baloth:	16 Baana, the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Bealoth;
17 Giosaphath figliuolo di Pharue in Issachar:	17 Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
18 Semei figliuolo di Eia in Benia­min:	18 Shimei, the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
19 Gaber figliuolo di Uri nella terra di Galaad, nella ferra di Sehon re degli Amorrhei, e di Og re di Basan; ed era il solo soprintendente in tutto quel paese.	19 Geber, the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, in the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and of Og, king of Bashan, over all who were in that land.
20 Giuda, e Israele erano un popolo senza numero, come l'arena del mare; e mangiavano, e bevevano allegramente.	20 Judah and Israel were innumerable, like the sand of the sea in multitude: eating and drinking, and rejoicing.
21 E Salomone avea sotto il suo do­minio tutti i regni del paese de' Filistei, dal fiume sino alla frontiera d'Egitto. E offerivano a lui dei doni, e furon sog­getti a lui per tutto il tempo, ch'ei visse.	21 Now Solomon had, in his dominion, all the kingdoms, from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt. And they offered gifts to him, and they served him all the days of his life.
22 Or la provvisione per la tavola di Salomone era ogni dì trenta cori di fior di farinai, e sessanta cori di farina,	22 And the provisions of Solomon, for each day, were thirty cor of fine wheat flour, and sixty cor of meal,
23 Dieci bovi ingrassati, e venti bovi di pastura, e cento arieti, senza la cac­ciagione di cervi, di caprioli, e di daini, e di uccellame di serbatoio.	23 ten fattened oxen, and twenty oxen from the pastures, and one hundred rams, aside from the venison of stags, roe deer, and gazelles, and fattened poultry.
24 Perocché egli era signore di tutto il paese, che giace di là dal fiume, da Taplisa sino a Gaza, e di tutti i re di que' paesi: ed era in pace con tutti i confinanti all'intorno:	24 For he had obtained the entire region which was beyond the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gaza, and all the kings of those regions. And he had peace on every side all around.
25 Onde Israele, e Giuda viveano senza timori, ognuno all'ombra della sua vite, e del suo fico, da Dan fino a Bersabea per tutto il tempo, che regnò Salomone.	25 And so, Judah and Israel were living without any fear, each one under his own vine and under his own fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, during all the days of Solomon.
26 E Salomone avea quaranta mila greppie di cavalli da cocchio, e dodici mila cavalli da cavalcare.	26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of chariot horses, and twelve thousand riding horses.
27 E gli uffiziali nominati dì sopra aveano l'incumbenza di mantenergli: ed eglino pure somministravano con gran pontualità a suo tempo tutto quello, che bisognava per la tavola di Salomone.	27 And the above-stated commanders of the king nourished these. And they also offered the necessities for the table of king Solomon, with immense diligence, each in his time.
28 E facevano ancora portare l'orzo, e la paglia pe' cavalli, e pe' giumenti al luogo, dov' era il re, secondo l'ordine, che ad essi era stato dato.	28 Also, they brought barley and straw for the horses and beasts of burden, to the place where the king was, just as it was appointed to them.
29 Diede di più Iddio a Salomone sa­pienza, e prudenza oltre modo grande, e vastità di mente immensurabile, com è l'arena, che sta sul lido del mare.	29 And God gave wisdom to Solomon, and an exceedingly great prudence, and a spacious heart, like the sand which is on the shore of the sea.
30 E la sapienza di Salomone supe­rava la sapienza di tutti gli Orientali, e degli Egiziani.	30 And the wisdom of Solomon surpassed the wisdom of all the East, and of the Egyptians.
31 Ed egli era il più sapiente di tutti gli uomini: più sapiente di Ethan Ezrahita, e di Heman, e di Chalcol, e di Dorda figliuoli di Mahol: ed egli era celebrato presso tutte le nazioni circon­vicine.	31 And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And he was renowned in all the nations on every side.
32 E Salomone pronunziò tre mila parabole: e le sue canzoni furono mille, e cinque.	32 Solomon also spoke three thousand parables. And his verses were one thousand and five.
33 E ragionò intorno alle piante dal cedro, che sta sul Libano fino all'issopo, che spunta dalle pareti: e discorse delle bestie della terra, e degli uccelli, e degl'insetti e de' pesci.	33 And he discoursed about trees, from the cedar which is in Lebanon, to the hyssop which grows out from the wall. And he explained about beasts, and birds, and reptiles, and fish.
34 E venivano da tutte le genti a udire la sapienza di Salomone, emessi di tutti i regi della terra, presso i quali era sparsa la fama della sapienza di lui.	34 And they came from all the peoples in order to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who were hearing about his wisdom.
