Apocalisse 13

1 Poi vidi salir dal mare una bestia che aveva sette teste e dieci corna, e sulle corna dieci diademi, e sulle teste nomi di bestemmia.	1 And I saw a beast ascending from the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon its horns were ten diadems, and upon its heads were names of blasphemy.
2 E la bestia da me veduta pareva un leopardo, aveva i piedi come quelli dell'orso, e la bocca come quella del leone.	2 And the beast that I saw was similar to a leopard, and its feet were like the feet of a bear, and its mouth was like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave his own power and great authority to it.
3 E il dragone le diede la sua forza e grande potere. E vidi una delle sue teste come piagata a morte, ma la sua piaga mortale fu guarita. E tutta la terra seguiva maravigliata la bestia.	3 And I saw that one of its heads seemed to be slain unto death, but his deadly wound was healed. And the entire world was in wonder following the beast.
4 E si misero ad adorare il dragone che aveva dato il potere alla bestia, e adorarono la bestia, dicendo: Chi è simile alla bestia? E chi potrà combattere con lei?	4 And they worshiped the dragon, who gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying: “Who is like the beast? And who would be able to fight with it?”
5 E le fu data una bocca che proferiva cose grandi e bestemmie; e le fu data facoltà di agire per quarantadue mesi.	5 And there was given to it a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies. And authority was given to him to act for forty-two months.
6 Ed aperse la bocca in bestemmie contro Dio, contro il nome di lui, contro il suo tabernacolo e contro quelli che abitano il cielo.	6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and those who dwell in heaven.
7 E le fu permesso di far guerra ai santi e di vincerli; e le fu dato potere sopra ogni tribù e popolo e lingua e nazione.	7 And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and people and language and nation.
8 E tutti gli abitanti della terra, i nomi dei quali non sono scritti nel libro di vita dell'Agnello che è stato immolato fin dal principio del mondo, adoraron la bestia.	8 And all who inhabit the earth worshiped the beast, those whose names have not been written, from the origin of the world, in the Book of Life of the Lamb who was slain.
9 Chi ha orecchi, intenda.	9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10 Chi mena in schiavitù sarà fatto schiavo, chi uccide colla spada bisogna che perisca di spada. Qui sta la pazienza e la fede dei santi.	10 Whoever will be led into captivity, into captivity he goes. Whoever will kill with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the patient endurance and faith of the Saints.
11 Poi vidi un'altra bestia che saliva dalla terra, con due corna simili a quelle dell'Agnello, ma parlava come il dragone.	11 And I saw another beast ascending from the land. And she had two horns like the Lamb, but she was speaking like the dragon.
12 Essa esercitava tutto quanto il potere della prima bestia, in presenza di lei, e fece che la terra e i suoi abitanti adorassero la prima bestia, la cui piaga mortale era stata guarita.	12 And she acted with all the authority of the first beast in his sight. And she caused the earth, and those dwelling in it, to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 E fece prodigi grandi, fino a far discendere dal cielo in terra il fuoco in presenza degli uomini.	13 And she accomplished great signs, even so that she would cause fire to descend from the sky to the earth in the sight of men.
14 E sedusse gli abitatori della terra coi prodigi che le fu dato di operare davanti alla bestia, persuadendo gli abitanti della terra a far l'imagine della bestia che fu piagata di spada e si riebbe.	14 And she seduced those living on the earth, by means of the signs that were given to her to perform in the sight of the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth that they should make an image of the beast who had a wound of the sword and yet lived.
15 E le fu dato d'animare l'imagine della bestia da farla anche parlare, e di far mettere a morte tutti quelli che non avessero adorato l'imagine della bestia.	15 And it was given to her to give a spirit to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would speak. And she acted so that whoever would not worship the image of the beast would be slain.
16 E farà che tutti quanti, e piccoli e grandi, e ricchi e poveri, e liberi e servi, ricevan l'impronta sulla mano destra e sulla fronte,	16 And she will cause everyone, small and great, wealthy and poor, free and servant, to have a character on their right hand or on their foreheads,
17 e che nessuno possa comprare o vendere, se non chi ha l'impronta o il nome della bestia o il numero del suo nome.	17 so that no one may buy or sell, unless he has the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Qui sta la sapienza! Chi ha intelligenza calcoli il numero della bestia, perchè è un numero d'uomo, e il suo numero è seicento sessantasei.	18 Here is wisdom. Whoever has intelligence, let him determine the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
