1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 « Parla ai figli D'Israele e dì loro: Quando sarete entrati nella terra che dovrete abitare, della quale vi darò il possesso,	2 "Give the Israelites these instructions: When you have entered the land that I will give you for your homesteads,
3 e farete al Signore un'offerta di olocausto o di vittima, per adempire un voto o per oblazione spontanea, o nelle vostre solennità, per far bruciare in odore soavissimo al Signore, buoi e pecore,	3 if you make to the LORD a sweet-smelling oblation from the herd or from the flock, in holocaust, in fulfillment of a vow, or as a freewill offering, or for one of your festivals,
4 chi immolerà una vittima offrirà, come oblazione, la decima parte di un eli di fior di farina stemperata con un quarto d'olio;	4 whoever does so shall also present to the LORD a cereal offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,
5 e tanto per l'olocausto che per la vittima darà la, stessa, misura di vino per le libazioni.	5 as well as a libation of a fourth of a hin of wine, with each lamb sacrificed in holocaust or otherwise.
6 Per ciascun agnello ciascun montone l'offerta sarà di due decimi di fior di farina stemperata, con un terzo d'hin d'olio,	6 With each sacrifice of a ram you shall present a cereal offering of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil,
7 e per le libazioni offrila un terzo della stessa misura di vino in odore soavissimo al Signore.	7 and a libation of a third of a hin of wine, thus making a sweet-smelling offering to the LORD.
8 Ma se offri un olocausto di buoi, o un'ostia per adempire un voto, o delle vittime pacifiche,	8 When you sacrifice an ox as a holocaust, or in fulfillment of a vow, or as a peace offering to the LORD,
9 per ogni bue darai tre decimi di fior di farina stemperata colla metà d'un hin d'olio,	9 with it you shall present a cereal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil,
10 e darai la stessa misura di vino per le libazioni in offerta di soave odore al Signore.	10 and a libation of half a hin of wine, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
11 Si farà cosi	11 The same is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb or goat.
12 per ogni bue, per ogni montone, per ogni agnello, per ogni capro.	12 Whatever the number you offer, do the same for each of them.
13 Tanto i nativi del paese quanto i forestieri	13 "All the native-born shall make these offerings in the same way, whenever they present a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
14 offriranno sacrifizi collo stesso rito.	14 Likewise, in any future generation, any alien residing with you permanently or for a time, who presents a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD, shall do as you do.
15 Una stessa legge e ordinazione sarà tanto per noi che per i forestieri del paese.	15 There is but one rule for you and for the resident alien, a perpetual rule for all your descendants. Before the LORD you and the alien are alike,
16 Il Signore parlò a Mose, dicendo:	16 with the same law and the same application of it for the alien residing among you as for yourselves."
17 « Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro:	17 The LORD said to Moses,
18 Quando sarete giunti nella terra che vi darò	18 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land into which I will bring you
19 e ne mangerete il pane, metterete a parte per il Signore le primizie del vostro cibo.	19 and begin to eat of the food of that land, you shall offer the LORD a contribution
20 Come mettete da parte le primizie dell'aia,	20 consisting of a cake of your first batch of dough. You shall offer it just as you offer a contribution from the threshing floor.
21 cosi offrirete al Signore le primizie delle vostre paste.	21 Throughout your generations you shall give a contribution to the LORD from your first batch of dough.
22 Quando per ignoranza avete omessa alcuna di queste cose dal Signore dette a Mosè	22 "When through inadvertence you fail to carry out any of these commandments which the LORD gives to Moses,
23 se per mezzo di lui imposte dal giorno in cui egli cominciò a darvi ordini e in seguito,	23 and through Moses to you, from the time the LORD first issues the commandment down through your generations:
24 se la moltitudine ha dimenticato di far tal cosa, offrirà un giovenco, olocausto in odore soavissimo al signore, col suo sacrifizio, colle sue libazioni, come prescrivono le cerimonie, e un capro per il peccato.	24 if the community itself unwittingly becomes guilty of the fault of inadvertence, the whole community shall offer the holocaust of one young bull as a sweet-smelling oblation pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed cereal offering and libation, as well as one he-goat as a sin offering.
25 Il sacerdote pregherà per tutta la moltitudine dei figli d'Israele, e sarà loro perdonato, perchè han peccato involontariamente: offriranno però peisò, per il loro peccato e per il loro errori; dell'incenso al Signore.	25 Then the priest shall make atonement for the whole Israelite community; thus they will be forgiven the inadvertence for which they have brought their holocaust as an oblation to the LORD.
26 Così sarà perdonato a tutta la moltitudine d'Israele e agli stranieri che soggiornano tra loro, perchè il popolo intero ha mancato per ignoranza.	26 Not only the whole Israelite community, but also the aliens residing among you, shall be forgiven, since the fault of inadvertence affects all the people.
27 Ma se ha peccato per ignoranza una sola persona, essa offrirà una capra d'un anno pel suo peccato;	27 "However, if it is an individual who sins inadvertently, he shall bring a yearling she-goat as a sin offering,
28 se il sacerdote pregherà per essa che ha peccato per ignoranza davanti al Signore, e, impetratole il perdono, le sarà perdonato.	28 and the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for him who sinned inadvertently; when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.
29 Vi sarà una stessa legge per quelli del paese e per i forestieri che han peccato per ignoranza.	29 You shall have but one law for him who sins inadvertently, whether he be a native Israelite or an alien residing with you.
30 Ma la persona che avrà peccato per superbia, cittadino o forestiero che sia, perirà di mezzo al suo popolo, perchè si è ribellato contro il Signore,	30 "But anyone who sins defiantly, whether he be a native or an alien, insults the LORD, and shall be cut off from among his people.
31 ne ha disprezzata la parola, e ne ha reso vano il comandamento, sarà quindi sterminato e pagherà il fio della sua iniquità ».	31 Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, he must be cut off. He has only himself to blame."
32 mentre i figli d'Israele erano nel deserto, trovarono un uomo che raccoglieva legna in giorno di sabato.	32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.
33 Lo presentarono a Mosè, ad Aronne e a tutta l'assemblea,	33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.
34 che lo misero in prigione, non sapendo quel che avessero a farne.	34 But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him.
35 E il Signore disse a Mosè: « Quell'uomo sia messo a morte e lapidato da tutta la moltitudine fuori del campo ».	35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."
36 E avendolo condotto fuori e lapidato, egli morì, come il Signore aveva comandato. Le frange sacre.	36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
37 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:	37 The LORD said to Moses,
38 « Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro che si faccian delle frange agli angoli dei loro mantelli e vi mettano dei cordoni di color di giacinto;	38 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them that they and their descendants must put tassels on the corners of their garments, fastening each corner tassel with a violet cord.
39 chè vedendo tali cose si ricordino di tutti i comandamenti del Signore e non vadan dietro ai loro pensieri e ai loro occhi che si prostituiscono ai vari oggetti;	39 When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.
40 ma si ricordino piuttosto dei precetti del Signore e li mettano in pratica, e siano santi al loro Dio.	40 Thus you will remember to keep all my commandments and be holy to your God.
41 Io sono il Signore Dio vostro che vi trassi dalla terra d'Egitto per essere vostro Dio ».	41 I, the LORD, am your God who, as God, brought you out of Egypt that I, the LORD, may be your God."
