Levitico 18

1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:	1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 « Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Io sono il Signore Dio vostro:	2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
3 voi non farete secondo le usanze del paese d'Egitto in cui avete abitato, nè agirete secondo il costume della terra di Canaan, dove io vi farò entrare. Non seguirete le loro leggi;	3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
4 ma praticherete i miei comandamenti, osserverete i miei precetti e vi conformerete ad essi. Io sono il Signore Dio vostro:	4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
5 custodite le mie leggi ed i miei comandamenti: l'uomo che li osserva vivrà per essi. Io sono il Signore.	5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
6 Nessuno si accosterà ad una parente carnale per scoprirne la nudità. Io sono il Signore.	6 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
7 Non scoprirai la nudità di tuo padre, nè di tua madre: essa è tua madre, non scoprirai la sua nudità.	7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 Non scoprirai la nudità della moglie di tuo padre; è la nudità di tuo padre.	8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
9 Non scoprirai la nudità di tua sorella di padre o di madre, sia essa nata in casa o fuori.	9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10 Non scoprirai la nudità della figlia di tuo figlio o di tua figlia: è tua nudità.	10 The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
11 Non scoprirai la nudità della figlia della moglie di tuo padre, generata da tuo padre: essa è tua sorella.	11 The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tuo padre: è carne di tuo padre.	12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
13 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tua madre: è carne di tua madre.	13 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.
14 Non scoprirai la nudità del tuo zio paterno, nè ti accosterai alla moglie di lui: è tua zia.	14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
15 Non scoprirai la nudità della tua nuora: è moglie del tuo figliolo, e tu non devi scoprire la sua ignominia.	15 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16 Non scoprirai la nudità della moglie di tuo fratello: è nudità del tuo fratello.	16 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
17 Non scoprirai la nudità della tua moglie e della sua figlia; nè prenderai la figlia del figlio o della figlia di lei per scoprirne l'ignominia, perchè son carne di tua moglie, e tale unione è un incesto.	17 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
18 Non prenderai per concubina la sorella di tua moglie, e non scoprirai la sua nudità, finché tua moglie è viva.	18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
19 Non ti accosterai alla donna per scoprirne la nudità nel tempo che ha i corsi.	19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
20 Non ti unirai colla donna del tuo prossimo, per non contaminarti con tal unione.	20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
21 Non darai dei tuoi figlioli per essere consacrati all'idolo Moloc, e non profanerai il nome del tuo Dio. Io sono il Signore.	21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
22 Non ti accosterai ad un uomo come ad una donna: è un'abbominazione.	22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
23 Non ti accosterai ad alcuna bestia, per non contaminarti con essa; e la donna non si accosterà ad una bestia, nè si unirà con essa: è sceleraggine.	23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
24 Non vi contaminate con nessuna di queste cose, colle quali si son contaminate tutte le nazioni che io caccerò dal vostro cospetto:	24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25 la terra ne è stata contaminata, ed io ne punirò l'iniquità facendole vomitare i suoi abitatori.	25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
26 Osservate le mie leggi e i miei comandamenti, e non fate di queste abbominazioni, nè il nativo del paese, nè il forestiero che abita fra voi;	26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
27 perchè tutte queste cose esecrande le fece chi prima di voi abitò questa terra e l'ha contaminata.	27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
28 Guardate adunque di non far come loro, chè la terra non vomiti ugualmente anche voi, come ha vomitato il popolo che prima di voi vi abitava.	28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
29 Chiunque commetterà di queste abbominazioni perirà di mezzo al popolo.	29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Osservate i miei comandamenti. Non fate le cose fatte da coloro che sono stati prima di voi, e non vi contaminate in esse. Io sono il Signore ».	30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
