τω δαυιδ ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον και παντα τα εντος μου το ονομα το αγιον αυτου | 1 The prayer of one afflicted and wasting away whose anguish is poured out before the LORD. |
ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον και μη επιλανθανου πασας τας ανταποδοσεις αυτου | 2 LORD, hear my prayer; let my cry come to you. |
τον ευιλατευοντα πασαις ταις ανομιαις σου τον ιωμενον πασας τας νοσους σου | 3 Do not hide your face from me now that I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly. |
τον λυτρουμενον εκ φθορας την ζωην σου τον στεφανουντα σε εν ελεει και οικτιρμοις | 4 For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn away as in a furnace. |
τον εμπιπλωντα εν αγαθοις την επιθυμιαν σου ανακαινισθησεται ως αετου η νεοτης σου | 5 I am withered, dried up like grass, too wasted to eat my food. |
ποιων ελεημοσυνας ο κυριος και κριμα πασι τοις αδικουμενοις | 6 From my loud groaning I become just skin and bones. |
εγνωρισεν τας οδους αυτου τω μωυση τοις υιοις ισραηλ τα θεληματα αυτου | 7 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins. |
οικτιρμων και ελεημων ο κυριος μακροθυμος και πολυελεος | 8 I lie awake and moan, like a lone sparrow on the roof. |
ουκ εις τελος οργισθησεται ουδε εις τον αιωνα μηνιει | 9 All day long my enemies taunt me; in their rage, they make my name a curse. |
ου κατα τας αμαρτιας ημων εποιησεν ημιν ουδε κατα τας ανομιας ημων ανταπεδωκεν ημιν | 10 I eat ashes like bread, mingle my drink with tears. |
οτι κατα το υψος του ουρανου απο της γης εκραταιωσεν κυριος το ελεος αυτου επι τους φοβουμενους αυτον | 11 Because of your furious wrath, you lifted me up just to cast me down. |
καθ' οσον απεχουσιν ανατολαι απο δυσμων εμακρυνεν αφ' ημων τας ανομιας ημων | 12 My days are like a lengthening shadow; I wither like the grass. |
καθως οικτιρει πατηρ υιους οικτιρησεν κυριος τους φοβουμενους αυτον | 13 But you, LORD, are enthroned forever; your renown is for all generations. |
οτι αυτος εγνω το πλασμα ημων μνησθητι οτι χους εσμεν | 14 You will again show mercy to Zion; now is the time for pity; the appointed time has come. |
ανθρωπος ωσει χορτος αι ημεραι αυτου ωσει ανθος του αγρου ουτως εξανθησει | 15 Its stones are dear to your servants; its dust moves them to pity. |
οτι πνευμα διηλθεν εν αυτω και ουχ υπαρξει και ουκ επιγνωσεται ετι τον τοπον αυτου | 16 The nations shall revere your name, LORD, all the kings of the earth, your glory, |
το δε ελεος του κυριου απο του αιωνος και εως του αιωνος επι τους φοβουμενους αυτον και η δικαιοσυνη αυτου επι υιους υιων | 17 Once the LORD has rebuilt Zion and appeared in glory, |
τοις φυλασσουσιν την διαθηκην αυτου και μεμνημενοις των εντολων αυτου του ποιησαι αυτας | 18 Heeding the plea of the lowly, not scorning their prayer. |
κυριος εν τω ουρανω ητοιμασεν τον θρονον αυτου και η βασιλεια αυτου παντων δεσποζει | 19 Let this be written for the next generation, for a people not yet born, that they may praise the LORD: |
ευλογειτε τον κυριον παντες οι αγγελοι αυτου δυνατοι ισχυι ποιουντες τον λογον αυτου του ακουσαι της φωνης των λογων αυτου | 20 "The LORD looked down from the holy heights, viewed the earth from heaven, |
ευλογειτε τον κυριον πασαι αι δυναμεις αυτου λειτουργοι αυτου ποιουντες το θελημα αυτου | 21 To attend to the groaning of the prisoners, to release those doomed to die." |
ευλογειτε τον κυριον παντα τα εργα αυτου εν παντι τοπω της δεσποτειας αυτου ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον | 22 Then the LORD'S name will be declared on Zion, the praise of God in Jerusalem, |
When all peoples and kingdoms gather to worship the LORD.
God has shattered my strength in mid-course, has cut short my days.
I plead, O my God, do not take me in the midst of my days. Your years last through all generations.
Of old you laid the earth's foundations; the heavens are the work of your hands.
They perish, but you remain; they all wear out like a garment; Like clothing you change them and they are changed,
but you are the same, your years have no end.
May the children of your servants live on; may their descendants live in your presence. |
