Apocalisse 22

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E mi mostrò poi un fiume d’acqua viva, limpido come cristallo, che scaturiva dal trono di Dio e dell’Agnello.	1 Then the angel showed me the river of life, rising from the throne of God and of the Lamb and flowingcrystal-clear.
2 In mezzo alla piazza della città, e da una parte e dall’altra del fiume, si trova un albero di vita che dà frutti dodici volte all’anno, portando frutto ogni mese; le foglie dell’albero servono a guarire le nazioni.	2 Down the middle of the city street, on either bank of the river were the trees of life, which bear twelvecrops of fruit in a year, one in each month, and the leaves of which are the cure for the nations.
3 E non vi sarà più maledizione. Nella città vi sarà il trono di Dio e dell’Agnello: i suoi servi lo adoreranno;	3 The curse of destruction will be abolished. The throne of God and of the Lamb wil be in the city; hisservants will worship him,
4 vedranno il suo volto e porteranno il suo nome sulla fronte.	4 they wil see him face to face, and his name wil be written on their foreheads.
5 Non vi sarà più notte, e non avranno più bisogno di luce di lampada né di luce di sole, perché il Signore Dio li illuminerà. E regneranno nei secoli dei secoli.	5 And night will be abolished; they will not need lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will beshining on them. They wil reign for ever and ever.
6 E mi disse: «Queste parole sono certe e vere. Il Signore, il Dio che ispira i profeti, ha mandato il suo angelo per mostrare ai suoi servi le cose che devono accadere tra breve.	6 The angel said to me, 'Al that you have written is sure and wil come true: the Lord God who inspiresthe prophets has sent his angel to reveal to his servants what is soon to take place.
7 Ecco, io vengo presto. Beato chi custodisce le parole profetiche di questo libro».	7 I am coming soon!' Blessed are those who keep the prophetic message of this book.
8 Sono io, Giovanni, che ho visto e udito queste cose. E quando le ebbi udite e viste, mi prostrai in adorazione ai piedi dell’angelo che me le mostrava.	8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I had heard and seen them all, I knelt atthe feet of the angel who had shown them to me, to worship him;
9 Ma egli mi disse: «Guàrdati bene dal farlo! Io sono servo, con te e con i tuoi fratelli, i profeti, e con coloro che custodiscono le parole di questo libro. È Dio che devi adorare».	9 but he said, 'Do no such thing: I am your fel ow-servant and the fel ow-servant of your brothers theprophets and those who keep the message of this book. God alone you must worship.'
10 E aggiunse: «Non mettere sotto sigillo le parole della profezia di questo libro, perché il tempo è vicino.	10 This, too, he said to me, 'Do not keep the prophecies in this book a secret, because the Time isclose.
11 Il malvagio continui pure a essere malvagio e l’impuro a essere impuro e il giusto continui a praticare la giustizia e il santo si santifichi ancora.	11 Meanwhile let the sinner continue sinning, and the unclean continue to be unclean; let the uprightcontinue in his uprightness, and those who are holy continue to be holy.
12 Ecco, io vengo presto e ho con me il mio salario per rendere a ciascuno secondo le sue opere.	12 Look, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay everyone as their deeds deserve.
13 Io sono l’Alfa e l’Omèga, il Primo e l’Ultimo, il Principio e la Fine.	13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 Beati coloro che lavano le loro vesti per avere diritto all’albero della vita e, attraverso le porte, entrare nella città.	14 Blessed are those who wil have washed their robes clean, so that they wil have the right to feed onthe tree of life and can come through the gates into the city.
15 Fuori i cani, i maghi, gli immorali, gli omicidi, gli idolatri e chiunque ama e pratica la menzogna!	15 Others must stay outside: dogs, fortune-tel ers, and the sexually immoral, murderers, idolaters, andeveryone of false speech and false life.'
16 Io, Gesù, ho mandato il mio angelo per testimoniare a voi queste cose riguardo alle Chiese. Io sono la radice e la stirpe di Davide, la stella radiosa del mattino».	16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to attest these things to you for the sake of the churches. I am the sprigfrom the root of David and the bright star of the morning.
17 Lo Spirito e la sposa dicono: «Vieni!». E chi ascolta, ripeta: «Vieni!». Chi ha sete, venga; chi vuole, prenda gratuitamente l’acqua della vita.	17 The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!' Let everyone who listens answer, 'Come!' Then let al who arethirsty come: all who want it may have the water of life, and have it free.
18 A chiunque ascolta le parole della profezia di questo libro io dichiaro: se qualcuno vi aggiunge qualcosa, Dio gli farà cadere addosso i flagelli descritti in questo libro;	18 This is my solemn attestation to al who hear the prophecies in this book: if anyone adds anything tothem, God wil add to him every plague mentioned in the book;
19 e se qualcuno toglierà qualcosa dalle parole di questo libro profetico, Dio lo priverà dell’albero della vita e della città santa, descritti in questo libro.	19 if anyone cuts anything out of the prophecies in this book, God wil cut off his share of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are described in the book.
20 Colui che attesta queste cose dice: «Sì, vengo presto!». Amen. Vieni, Signore Gesù.	20 The one who attests these things says: I am indeed coming soon. Amen; come, Lord Jesus.
21 La grazia del Signore Gesù sia con tutti.	21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you al . Amen.
