| 1 Mosè radunò la comunità dei figli di Israele e disse loro: « Queste sono le cose che Jahve ha ordinato di adempiere: | 1 And all the multitude of the children of Israel being gathered together, he said to them: These are the things which the Lord hath commanded to be done. |
| 2 si lavorerà per sei giorni, ma il settimo sarà per voi un giorno sacro di completo riposo in onore di Jahve. Chiunque in esso farà un lavoro sarà messo a morte. | 2 Six days you shall do work: the seventh day shall be holy unto you, the sabbath, and the rest of the Lord: he that shall do any work on it, shall be put to death. |
| 3 Nel giorno di sabato non accenderete il fuoco in nessuna delle vostre abitazioni ». | 3 You shall kindle no fire in any of your habitations on the sabbath day. |
| 4 Mosè disse alla comunità dei figli di Israele: « Questa è la parola che Jahve ha ordinato. | 4 And Moses said to all the assembly of the children of Israel: This is the word the Lord hath commanded, saying: |
| 5 Da quanto avete, prelevate un contributo in onore di Jahve. Colui che vi sarà spinto dal proprio cuore porterà il contributo per Jahve: oro, argento e bronzo, | 5 Set aside with you firstfuits to the Lord. Let every one that is willing and hath a ready heart, offer them to the Lord: gold, and silver, and brass, |
| 6 porpora viola e rossa, scarlatto, lino finissimo e peli di capra, | 6 Violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen, goats' hair, |
| 7 pelli di montone tinte in rosso, pelli di takhash e legno di acacia, | 7 And rams' skins dyed red, and violet coloured skins, setim wood, |
| 8 olio per l’illuminazione, balsami per l’olio dell’unzione e per il profumo degli aromi, | 8 And oil to maintain lights, and to make ointment, and most sweet incense. |
| 9 pietre d’onice, pietre da incastonare nell’efod e nel pettorale. | 9 Onyx stones, and precious stones, for the adorning of the ephod and the rational. |
| 10 Chi tra di voi è uomo d’ingegno venga a eseguire quanto Jahve ha ordinato: | 10 Whosoever of you is wise, let him come, and make that which the Lord hath commanded: |
| 11 la Dimora con la Tenda, la copertura, gli uncini, le assi, le traverse, i pali e le basi; | 11 To wit, the tabernacle and the roof thereof, and the cover, the rings, and the board work with the oars, the pillars, and the sockets: |
| 12 l’arca con le stanghe, l’Espiatorio e il velo che lo ricopre; | 12 The ark and the staves, the propitiatory, and the veil that is drawn before it: |
| 13 la tavola con le stanghe, tutte le suppellettili e il pane della presenza; | 13 The table with the bars and the vessels, and the loaves of proposition: |
| 14 il candelabro per illuminare con gli arredi, le lampade, l’olio per l'illuminazione; | 14 The candlestick to bear up the lights, the vessels thereof and the lamps, and the oil for the nourishing of fires: |
| 15 l’altare del profumo con le stanghe, l’olio dell’unzione, il profumo degli aromi e il tendone alla porta d’ingresso della Dimora; | 15 The altar of incense, and the bars, and the oil of unction and the incense of spices: the hanging at the door of the tabernacle: |
| 16 l’altare dell’olocausto con la grata di bronzo, le stanghe, tutte le suppellettili grata di e la rispettiva base; | 16 The altar of holocaust, and its grate of brass, with the bars and vessels thereof: the laver and its foot: |
| 17 i teli del recinto con i pali, le basi e il tendone della Porta del recinto; | 17 The curtains of the court with the pillars and the sockets, the hanging in the doors of the entry, |
| 18 i picchetti della Dimora, i picchetti del recinto con le corde; | 18 The pins of the tabernacle and of the court with their little cords: |
| 19 le vesti prescritte per officiare nel santuario, le vesti sacre per il sacerdote Aronne, e le vesti dei suoi figli per l’esercizio sacerdotale ». | 19 The vestments that are to be used in the ministry of the sanctuary, the vesture of Aaron the high priest, and of his sons, to do the office of priesthood to me. |
| 20 Tutta la comunità dei figli di Israele si ritirò quindi dalla presenza di Mosè. | 20 And all the multitude of the children of Israel going out from the presence of Moses, |
| 21 Vennero tutti coloro che erano spinti a ciò al proprio cuore e tutti coloro che erano spinti a ciò dal proprio spirito, e portarono il contributo per Jahve: per l’erezione della Tenda del convegno, per tutto il culto e per le vesti sacre. | 21 Offered firstfruits to the Lord with a most ready and devout mind, to make the work of the tabernacle of the testimony. Whatsoever was necessary to the service, and to the holy vestments, |
| 22 Vennero gli uomini e le donne — ognuno spinto dal Proprio cuore. — è Portarono fermagli, pendenti, anelli, monili e ogni genere di gioielli d’oro: tutti coloro che vollero fare un’offerta d’oro a Jahve la portarono; | 22 Both men and women gave bracelets and earrings, rings and tablets: every vessel of gold was set aside to be offered to the Lord. |
| 23 tutti coloro che si trovavano in possesso di porpora viola e rossa, di scarlatto, di lino finissimo, di peli di capra, di pelli di montone tinte in rosso e di pelli di takhash, le portarono. | 23 If any man had violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, fine linen and goats' hair, rams' skins dyed red, and violet coloured skins, |
| 24 Tutti coloro che volevano offrire un contributo in argento bronzo lo portarono come contributo per Jahve. Tutti coloro che erano in possesso di legno d’acacia per qualsiasi lavoro del culto lo portarono. | 24 Metal of silver and brass, they offered it to the Lord, and setim wood for divers uses. |
| 25 Tutte le donne abili filarono di propria mano e portarono il filato: porpora viola e rossa, scarlatto e lino finissimo. | 25 The skilful women also gave such things as they had spun, violet, purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, |
| 26 Tutte le donne che erano spinte dal proprio cuore, a motivo della loro abilità, filarono i peli di capra. | 26 And goats' hair, giving all of their own accord. |
| 27 I capi portarono le pietre d’onice e le pietre da incastonare nell'efod e nel pettorale, | 27 But the princes offered onyx stone, and precious stones, for the ephod and the rational, |
| 28 il balsamo, l’olio per l’illuminazione, l’olio per l’unzione è per il profumo degli aromi. | 28 And spices and oil for the lights, and for the preparing of ointment, and to make the incense of most sweet savour. |
| 29 Tutti gli uomini e tutte le donne il cui cuore spingeva a portare qualcosa per qualsiasi lavoro che Jahve, per mezzo di Mosè, aveva ordinato di fare, lo portarono. I figli di Israele portarono la loro offerta spontanea a Jahve. | 29 All both men and women with devout mind offered gifts, that the works might be done which the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses. All the children of Israel dedicated voluntary offerings to the Lord. |
| 30 Mosè disse ai figli di Israele: « Vedete, Jahve ha chiamato per nome Bezaleel figlio di Uri, figlio di Khur, della tribù di Giuda, | 30 And Moses said to the children of Israel: Behold the Lord hath called by name Beseleel the son of Uri the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda. |
| 31 e lo ha riempito dello spirito di Dio che gli ha impartito saggezza, abilità e perizia per ogni genere di lavori: | 31 And hath filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding and knowledge and all learning. |
| 32 per ideare progetti, per lavorare l’oro, l’argento e il bronzo, | 32 To devise and to work in gold and silver and brass, |
| 33 per l’arte di trattare le pietre da castone, per l’arte di scolpire il legno, per ogni genere di lavori di concetto | 33 And in engraving stones, and in carpenters' work. Whatsoever can be devised artificially, |
| 34 e ha messo il dono dell’insegnamento nel cuore di lui e di Oholiab, figlio di Akhisamach, della tribù di Dan, | 34 He hath given in his heart: Ooliab also the son of Achisamech of the tribe of Dan: |
| 35 li ha riempiti di senso artistico per compiere ogni genere di lavori: di intagliatore, di disegnatore, di ricamatore in porpora viola e rossa, in scarlatto e bisso, e di tessitore; abili in ogni lavoro e ideatori di progetti ». | 35 Both of them hath he instructed with wisdom, to do carpenters' work and tapestry, and embroidery in blue and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen, and to weave all things, and to invent all new things. |
