Proverbios 2

BIBLIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Hijo mío, si das acogida a mis palabras, y guardas en tu memoria mis mandatos,	1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 prestando tu oído a la sabiduría, inclinando tu corazón a la prudencia;	2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 si invocas a la inteligencia y llamas a voces a la prudencia;	3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 si la buscas como la plata y como un tesoro la rebuscas,	4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 entonces entenderás el temor de Yahveh y la ciencia de Dios encontrarás.	5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 Porque Yahveh es el que da la sabiduría, de su boca nacen la ciencia y la prudencia.	6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 Reserva el éxito para los rectos, es escudo para quienes proceden con entereza,	7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 vigila las sendas de la equidad y guarda el camino de sus amigos.	8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Entonces entenderás la justicia, la equidad y la rectitud: todos los senderos del bien.	9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 Cuando entre la sabiduría en tu corazón y la ciencia sea dulce para tu alma,	10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 velará sobre ti la reflexión y la prudencia te guardará,	11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 apartándote del mal camino, del hombre que propone planes perversos,	12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 de los que abandonan el recto sendero para ir por caminos tenebrosos,	13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 de los que se gozan en hacer el mal, se regocijan en la perversidad,	14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 cuyos senderos son tortuosos y sus sendas llenas de revueltas.	15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16 Ella te apartará de la mujer ajena, de la extraña de melosas palabras,	16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 que ha dejado al amigo de su juventud y ha olvidado la alianza de su Dios;	17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 su casa está inclinada hacia la muerte, hacia las sombras sus tortuosos senderos.	18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 Nadie que entre por ella volverá, no alcanzará las sendas de la vida.	19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 Por eso has de ir por el camino de los buenos, seguirás las sendas de los justos.	20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra y los íntegros se mantendrán en ella;	21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 pero los malos serán cercenados de la tierra, se arrancará de ella a los desleales.	22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
