1 [Für den Chormeister. Von David. Zum Weihrauchopfer.]	1 Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him.
2 Gott, komm herbei, um mich zu retten, Herr, eil mir zu Hilfe!	2 O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.
3 In Schmach und Schande sollen alle fallen, die mir nach dem Leben trachten. Zurückweichen sollen sie und vor Scham erröten, die sich über mein Unglück freuen.	3 Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:
4 Beschämt sollen sich alle abwenden, die lachen und höhnen und sagen: «Dir geschieht recht.»	4 Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: 'T is well, 't is well.
5 Alle, die dich suchen, frohlocken; sie mögen sich freuen in dir. Die dein Heil lieben, sollen immer sagen: «Groß ist Gott, der Herr.»	5 Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.
6 Ich aber bin arm und gebeugt. Eile, o Gott, mir zu Hilfe! Meine Hilfe und mein Retter bist du. Herr, säume doch nicht!	6 But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.
