1 Mosè amato da Dio, e dagli uomini: la memoria di lui è in benedizione.	1 From him was to spring the man who won the favor of all: Dear to God and men, MOSES, whose memory is held in benediction.
2 Il Signore lo fe' simile a' santi nella gloria, e lo fece grande, e terribile ai nemici; ed egli colla sua parola calmò le piaghe prodigiose.	2 God's honor devolved upon him, and the Lord strengthened him with fearful powers;
3 Lo glorificò nel cospetto dei re, e gli diede i comandamenti da portare al suo popolo, e gli fece veder la sua gloria.	3 God wrought swift miracles at his words and sustained him in the king's presence. He gave him the commandments for his people, and revealed to him his glory.
4 Santificollo mediante la sua fede, e mansuetudine; e lo elesse tra tutti gli uomini.	4 For his trustworthiness and meekness God selected him from all mankind;
5 Onde egli udì lui, e la sua voce, e (Dio) lo fece entrar nella nuvola.	5 He permitted him to hear his voice, and led him into the cloud, Where, face to face, he gave him the commandments, the law of life and understanding, That he might teach his precepts to Jacob, his judgments and decrees to Israel.
6 E testa a testa gli diede i precetti, e la legge di vita, e di scienza, affinchè: a Giacobbe notificasse il suo patto, e i suoi giudizj a Israele.	6 He raised up also, like Moses in holiness, his brother AARON, of the tribe of Levi.

12 Il razionale santo, lavoro tessuto di oro, e di jacinto, e di porpora da un uomo saggio dotato di vera prudenza:	12 On his turban the diadem of gold, its plate wrought with the insignia of holiness, Majestic, glorious, renowned for splendor, a delight to the eyes, beauty supreme.

19 Fu eterno come i giorni del cielo il patto fermato con lui, e colla sua stirpe, che esercitasser le funzioni sacerdotali, e cantasser le laudi (di Dio); e benedicessero nel nome di lui il popol suo.	19 But the LORD saw this and became angry, he destroyed them in his burning wrath. He brought down upon them a miracle, and consumed them with his flaming fire.
20 Lo elesse (Dio) tra tutti i viventi ad offerire i sagrilizj, e gli incensi di odor soave per farlo ricordare del popolo, e renderlo a lui placato:	20 Then he increased the glory of Aaron and bestowed upon him his inheritance: The sacred offerings he allotted to him, with the showbread as his portion;
21 E gli diede autorità intorno a' suoi precetti, e leggi, e i giudizj per insegnare a Giacobbe i comandamenti, e per dare a Israele l'intelligenza della sua legge.	21 The oblations of the LORD are his food, a gift to him and his descendants.
22 Ma essendosi mossi contro di lui uomini estranei, e per astio, e per mal talento essendo andati a investirlo nel deserto quelli, che erano con Dathan, e Abiron, e i fazionari di Core,	22 But he holds no land among the people nor shares with them their heritage; For the LORD himself is his portion, his inheritance in the midst of Israel.
23 Il Signore, veduto ciò ne ebbe dispetto, e coll'impetuoso suo sdegno li distrusse.	23 PHINEHAS too, the son of Eleazar, was the courageous third of his line When, zealous for the God of all, he met the crisis of his people And, at the prompting of his noble heart, atoned for the children of Israel.
24 Fece orrendi prodigi contro di loro, e nelle ardenti fiamme li annichilò.	24 Therefore on him again God conferred the right, in a covenant of friendship, to provide for the sanctuary, So that he and his descendants should possess the high priesthood forever.
25 E di nuova gloria ornò Aronne; e gli assegnò l'eredità, e gli diede le primizie de' frutti della terra.	25 For even his covenant with David, the son of Jesse of the tribe of Judah, Was an individual heritage through one son alone; but the heritage of Aaron is for all his descendants.
26 Preparò ad essi abbondante sostentamento mediante le primizie, e oltre a ciò eglino mangeranno de' sagrifizj del Signore dati a lui, e alla sua stirpe.	26 And now bless the LORD who has crowned you with glory! May he grant you wisdom of heart to govern his people in justice, Lest their welfare should ever be forgotten, or your authority, throughout all time.
27 Ma egli non ha possessione nella terra delle genti, e non gli fu data porzione tralla sua gente, perché Dio è sua porzione, e sua eredità.
28 Phinees Figliuolo di Eleazaro è il terzo in tanta gloria, imitatore di Aronne nel timore del Signore:
29 E collo star costante nella ignominia della nazione: egli colla bontà, e risoluzione del suo cuore rendette placato Dio a Israele.
30 Per questo Dio fece con lui un patto di pace, lo fece principe delle cose sante, e del suo popolo, e die egli, e la sua stirpe possedesse la dignità sacerdotale in eterno.
31 Così fu il patto con David re figliuolo di Jesse della tribù di Giuda, facendo erede del regno lui, e il suo seme, affine e di riempiere di sapienza i nostri cuori, e perché il suo popolo sia governato con giustizia, affinché non si perda la sua felicità. Egli ha renduta eterna la loro gloria presso la loro nazione.
