Prima lettera ai Corinzi 5

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Si sente dappertutto parlare della fornicazione che è tra di voi, e d'una fornicazione tale che non si trova nemmeno fra i Gentili, fino al punto che uno conviva colla moglie di suo padre.	1 It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, immorality of a kind that is not foundeven among gentiles: that one of you is living with his stepmother.
2 E voi siete gonfi, invece di piangere, finché non sia tolto di mezzo a voi chi ha commesso tale enortnità!	2 And you so fil ed with your own self-importance! It would have been better if you had been grievingbitterly, so that the man who has done this thing were turned out of the community.
3 io però, assente corporalmente, ma presente in spirito, ho già, come fossi presente, giudicato chi ha attentato tal delitto.	3 For my part, however distant I am physical y, I am present in spirit and have already condemned theman who behaved in this way, just as though I were present in person.
4 Nel nome del nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, quando voi siete adunati, ed io in mezzo a voi collo spirito, per il potere del Signore nostro Gesù,	4 When you have gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus, with the presence of my spirit, and inthe power of our Lord Jesus,
5 sia dato quel tale a Satana, perchè ne sia distrutta la carne, e lo spirito sia salvo nel giorno del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo.	5 hand such a man over to Satan, to be destroyed as far as natural life is concerned, so that on the Dayof the Lord his spirit may be saved.
6 Vi gloriate senza ragione. E non sapete che un po' di lievito corrompe tutta la pasta?	6 Your self-satisfaction is il founded. Do you not realise that only a little yeast leavens the whole batch ofdough?
7 Togliete via il vecchio fermento, affinchè siate una nuova pasta, come siete, senza lievito; poiché la nostra Pasqua, cioè Cristo, è stata già immolata.	7 Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passoverhas been sacrificed, that is, Christ;
8 Celebriamo dunque la festa, non con vecchio lievito, nè col lievito della malizia e della malvagità, ma cogli azzimi della purità e della verità.	8 let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but onlythe unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 V'ho scritto nella mia lettera di non aver relazione coi fornicatori.	9 In my letter, I wrote to you that you should have nothing to do with people living immoral lives.
10 Certamente, non coi fornicatori di questo mondo, o cogli avari, o coi ladri, o cogli idolatri, altrimenti dovreste uscire dal mondo;	10 I was not including everybody in this present world who is sexually immoral, or everybody who isgreedy, or dishonest or worships false gods -- that would mean you would have to cut yourselves off completelyfrom the world.
11 ma v'ho scritto di non aver relazione con uno che si chiama fratello ed è fornicatore, avaro, idolatra, maldicente, ubriacone, ladro: con siffatto non dovete neppure mangiare.	11 In fact what I meant was that you were not to have anything to do with anyone going by the name ofbrother who is sexual y immoral, or is greedy, or worships false gods, or is a slanderer or a drunkard ordishonest; never even have a meal with anybody of that kind.
12 Sta forse a me giudicare quei di fuori? Non tocca forse a voi giudicare quei di dentro?	12 It is no concern of mine to judge outsiders. It is for you to judge those who are inside, is it not?
13 Quei di fuori li giudicherà Dio; ma voi togliete dal vostro seno il malvagio.	13 But outsiders are for God to judge. You must banish this evil-doer from among you.
