1 - Il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne, e disse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, and Aaron, saying:
2 «Fa' il computo di fra i leviti, di tutti quelli discendenti da Caat, secondo le loro case e famiglie,	2 Take the sum of the sons of Caath from the midst of the Levites, by their houses and families.
3 da trent'anni in su fino a cinquanta, che possano entrare, stare e servire nel tabernacolo della testimonianza.	3 From thirty years old and upward, to fifty years old, of all that go in to stand and to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
4 Quest'è l'ufficio de' figliuoli di Caat, riguardo al tabernacolo dell'alleanza ed al Santo dei Santi.	4 This is the service of the sons of Caath:
5 Quando si dovranno muover gli accampamenti, Aronne ed i suoi figliuoli entreranno, staccheranno il velo che pende all'ingresso, e con quello avvolgeranno l'arca della testimonianza.	5 When the camp is to set forward, Aaron and his sons shall go into the tabernacle of the covenant, and the holy of holies, and shall take down the veil that hangeth before the door, and shall wrap up the ark of the testimony in it,
6 Poi la copriranno ancora con la copertura di pelli tinte in violaceo, vi stenderanno sopra la copertura color giacinto, e vi passeranno le stanghe.	6 And shall cover it again with a cover of violet skins, and shall spread over it a cloth all of violet, and shall put in the bars.
7 Involgeranno in una coperta di giacinto anche la mensa della proposizione, ponendovi insieme i turiboli ed i piccoli mortai, i calici e le coppe per versare le libazioni; i pani vi rimarranno sempre.	7 They shall wrap up also the table of proposition in a cloth of violet, and shall put with it the censers and little mortars, the cups and bowls to pour out the libations: the leaves shall be always on it:
8 Poi vi stenderanno sopra un panno rosso di cocco, e lo copriranno alla sua volta con una copertura di pelli violacee; indi vi passeranno le stanghe.	8 And they shall spread over it a cloth of scarlet, which again they shall cover with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.
9 Prenderanno anche un panno di giacinto, col quale ricopriranno il candelabro con le lucerne, le forbici, gli smoccolatoi, i vasi dell'olio, e tutto quel che è necessario al mantenimento delle lampade;	9 They shall take also a cloth of violet wherewith they shall cover the candlestick with the lamps and tongs thereof and the snuffers and all the oil vessels, which are necessary for the dressing of the lamps :
10 su tutto ciò porranno una copertura di pelli violacee, e vi metteranno le stanghe.	10 And over all they shall put a cover of violet skins and put in the bars.
11 Similmente involgeranno in un velo di giacinto l'altare d'oro, vi stenderanno sopra una copertura di pelli violacee, e vi passeranno le stanghe.	11 And they shall wrap up the golden altar also in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.
12 Tutti gli arredi pel servizio del santuario, li involgeranno in un velo di giacinto, vi stenderanno sopra una copertura di pelli violacee, e li porranno sulle stanghe.	12 All the vessels wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, they shall wrap up in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.
13 Puliranno dalla cenere l'altare [degli olocausti], e lo avvolgeranno con un velo di porpora,	13 They shall cleanse the altar also from the ashes, and shall wrap it up in a purple cloth,
14 ponendovi insieme tutti gli attrezzi dei quali si fa uso nel suo servizio: cioè i bracieri, i forchettoni, i tridenti, gli uncini e le palette. Tutti insieme gli arredi dell'altare, li copriranno con una copertura di pelli violacee e li porranno sulle stanghe.	14 And shall put it with all the vessels that they use in the ministry thereof, that is to say, firepans, fleshhooks and forks, pothooks and shovels. They shall cover all the vessels of the altar together with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.
15 Quando poi Aronne ed i suoi figli avranno così involtato i pezzi del santuario e tutti i suoi arredi, allora sul punto di muovere il campo, verranno i figli di Caat a portar via gli oggetti già involti; ma non toccheranno gli arredi del santuario, per non morire. Son questi gli uffici de' figli di Caat riguardo al tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	15 And when Aaron and his sons have wrapped up the sanctuary and the vessels thereof at the removing of the camp, then shall the sons of Caath enter in to carry the things wrapped up: and they shall not touch the vessels of the sanctuary, lest they die. These are the burdens of the sons of Caath: in the tabernacle of the covenant:
16 Ad essi soprintenderà Eleazaro figlio d'Aronne sacerdote; a lui spetta la cura dell'olio per accomodare le lampade, dell'incenso composto, del sacrifizio che s'offre ogni giorno, dell'olio per la [sacra] unzione, di tutto ciò che appartiene al culto del tabernacolo, e di tutti gli arredi che sono nel santuario».	16 And over them shall be Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, to whose charge pertaineth the oil to dress the lamps, and the sweet incense, and the sacrifice, that is always offered, and the oil of unction, and whatsoever pertaineth to the service of the tabernacle, and of all the vessels that are in the sanctuary.
17 Di poi il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne, e disse loro:	17 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
18 «Non permettete che la progenie di Caat sia sterminata di fra i leviti;	18 Destroy not the people of Caath from the midst of the Levites:
19 ma perchè vivano, e non vengano a morte per aver toccato le cose santissime, fate così: Aronne e i suoi figli entreranno e disporranno essi stessi il lavoro di ciascheduno, assegnando quel che ciascuno debba portare.	19 But do this to them, that they may live, and not die, by touching the holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall appoint every man his work, and shall divide the burdens that every man is to carry.
20 Gli altri non abbiano la minima curiosità di vedere le cose che sono nel santuario, sinchè non siano state coperte; altrimenti morranno».	20 Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.
21 Quindi il Signore parlò a Mosè e gli disse:	21 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
22 «Fa' il computo anche de' figli di Gerson, per case e famiglie e discendenze;	22 Take the sum of the soils of Gerson also by their houses and families and kindreds.
23 da trent'anni in su, fino ai cinquanta, conta quelli capaci d'entrare a servire nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	23 From thirty Sears old and upward, unto fifty years old. Number them all that go in and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
24 L'ufficio della stirpe gersonita è questo:	24 This is the office of the family of the Gersonites :
25 di portare le cortine ed il tetto del tabernacolo dell'alleanza, la seconda copertura, la copertura violacea che sta sopra le altre, la tenda che pende all'ingresso del tabernacolo dell'alleanza,	25 To carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the violet covering over all, and the hanging that hangeth in the entry of the tabernacle of the covenant,
26 le cortine dell'atrio ed il velo che sta sull'ingresso davanti al tabernacolo. Tutto quello che appartiene all'altare, le corde ed i vasi del ministero,	26 The curtains of the court, and the veil in the entry that is before the tabernacle. All things that pertain to the altar, the cords and the vessels of the ministry,
27 i figli di Gerson lo porteranno, secondo che comanderanno Aronne ed i suoi figli; sappia ciascuno a qual ufficio dev'esser addetto.	27 The sons of Gerson shall carry, by the commandment of Aaron and his sons: and each man shall know to what burden he must be assigned.
28 Questo è il servizio della gente gersonita riguardo al tabernacolo dell'alleanza; saranno guidati da Itamar figlio d'Aronne sacerdote.	28 This is the service of the family of the Gersonites in the tabernacle of the covenant, and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29 Farai il censo anche de' discendenti di Merari, secondo le famiglie e case de' padri loro	29 Thou shalt reckon up the sons of Merari also by the families and houses of their fathers,
30 da trent'anni in su, fino ai cinquanta; di tutti quelli che posson entrare a compire il proprio ministero in servizio del tabernacolo della testimonianza.	30 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the office of their ministry, and to the service of the covenant of the testimony.
31 Questi sono i loro obblighi: porteranno le assi del tabernacolo e le sue traverse, le colonne con le loro basi,	31 These are their burdens: They shall carry the boards of the tabernacle and the bars thereof, the pillars and their sockets,
32 le colonne ancora che stanno in giro intorno all'atrio, con le basi, i piuoli e le funi rispettive. Tutti questi attrezzi e suppellettili, li riceveranno numerati, e così li porteranno.	32 The pillars also of the court round about, with their sockets and pins and cords. They shall receive by account all the vessels and furniture, and so shall carry them.
33 Quest'è l'ufficio della stirpe merarita, ed il suo servizio nel tabernacolo della testimonianza; saranno guidati da Itamar figlio d'Aronne sacerdote».	33 This is the office of the family of the Merarites, and their ministry in the tabernacle of the covenant: and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
34 Mosè dunque ed Aronne coi principi della sinagoga fecero il censo de' figli di Caat, secondo le genealogie e case de' padri loro,	34 So Moses and Aaron and the princes of the synagogue reckoned up the sons of Caath, by their kindreds and the houses of their fathers,
35 da trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta: di tutti quelli che potevano entrare in servizio del tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	35 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the ministry of the tabernacle of the covenant:
36 Furon trovati in numero di duemila e settecentocinquanta.	36 And they were found two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 Quest'è il numero degli addetti al tabernacolo dell'alleanza fra la gente di Caat. Li contarono Mosè ed Aronne, secondo l'istruzione data dal Signore a Mosè.	37 This is the number of the people of Caath that go in to the tabernacle of the covenant: these did Moses and Aaron number according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
38 Furon contati anche i figli di Gerson, secondo le genealogie e le case de' padri loro,	38 The sons of Gerson also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
39 da trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta: tutti i chiamati a compire il servizio del tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	39 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant:
40 Furon trovati esser duemila e seicentotrenta.	40 And they were found two thousand six hundred and thirty.
41 È questa la gente gersonita, numerata da Mosè ed Aronne, conforme alla parola del Signore.	41 This is the people of the Gersonites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord.
42 Furon contati, secondo le genealogie e le case de' padri loro, anche i figli di Merari,	42 The sons of Merari also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
43 da trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta, tutti i chiamati a compire il servizio del tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	43 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to fulfil the rites of the tabernacle of the covenant:
44 Furon trovati essere tremila e duecento.	44 And they were found three thousand two hundred.
45 È questo il numero dei discendenti di Merari, contati da Mosè ed Aronne, conforme il comando dato a Mosè dal Signore.	45 This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron reckoned up according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
46 Tutt'i leviti passati in rassegna, recensiti per nome da Mosè ed Aronne e da' principi d'Israele, secondo le genealogie e le case dei padri loro,	46 All that were reckoned up of the Levites, and whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel took by name, by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
47 da trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta, addetti al servizio del tabernacolo, ed a portarne i colli,	47 From thirty years old and upward, until fifty years old, that go into the ministry of the tabernacle, and to carry the burdens,
48 furono in tutti ottomila e cinquecentottanta.	48 Were in all eight thousand five hundred and eighty.
49 Li passò in rassegna Mosè, secondo la parola del Signore; ciascuno secondo l'ufficio ed il carico assegnatoli, come gli aveva comandato il Signore.	49 Moses reckoned them up according to the word of the Lord, every one according to their office and burdens, as the Lord had commanded him.
