| 7 Fece anche il portico del trono, dove era il tribunale e lo coprì di cedro dal suolo fino al soffitto. | 7 And he made the Hall of the Throne where he was to pronounce judgment, even the Hall of Judgment; it was finished with cedar from floor to rafters. |
| 8 E nel mezzo del portico vi era una piccola casa di simile lavoro, nella quale si sedeva a giudicare. Fece anche per la figlia del faraone (da lui condotta in isposa) una casa dello stesso genere del portico. | 8 His own house where he was to dwell, in the other court back of the hall, was of like workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage. |
| 9 Tutte [queste costruzioni] erano di pietre di molto pregio, tagliate secondo misura e a tutta regola internamente ed esternamente, e ciò dalle fondamenta fino alla sommità delle pareti e al di fuori fino all'atrio maggiore. | 9 All these were made of costly stones, hewn according to measure, sawed with saws, back and front, even from the foundation to the coping, and from the court of the house of the LORD to the great court. |
| 10 Le fondamenta poi erano di pietra di gran pregio, grandi pietre di dieci o di otto cubiti. | 10 The foundation was of costly stones, huge stones, stones of eight and ten cubits. |
| 11 Al di sopra vi erano ancora delle pietre di molto pregio di misura eguale e del legname di cedro; | 11 And above were costly stones, hewn according to measurement, and cedar. |
| 12 e l'atrio maggiore era rotondo e aveva tre ordini di pietre tagliate e un ordine di travi di cedro; così pure l'atrio interno della casa del Signore, e il portico della casa. | 12 The great court had three courses of hewn stone round about, and a course of cedar beams; so had the inner court of the house of the LORD, and the vestibule of the house. |
| 13 Il re Salomone fece venire da Tiro, Iram | 13 And King Solomon sent and brought Hiram from Tyre. |
| 14 figlio di una vedova della tribù di Neftali e di un padre di Tiro, artefice in rame, pieno di sapienza e di intelligenza e abile nell'eseguire qualunque lavoro in rame. Venuto dunque dal re Salomone, Iram eseguì tutte le sue opere. | 14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze; and he was full of wisdom, understanding, and skill, for making any work in bronze. He came to King Solomon, and did all his work. |
| 15 Fece due colonne di rame, le quali avevano ciascuna diciotto cubiti di altezza e una circonferenza di dodici cubiti. | 15 He cast two pillars of bronze. Eighteen cubits was the height of one pillar, and a line of twelve cubits measured its circumference; it was hollow, and its thickness was four fingers; the second pillar was the same. |
| 16 Fece ancora due capitelli, di rame di getto, da porsi sulla sommità delle colonne; misuravano ciascuno cinque cubiti di altezza; | 16 He also made two capitals of molten bronze, to set upon the tops of the pillars; the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits. |
| 17 e fece degli intrecci in forma di rete e dei festoni in forma di catene in ciascun capitello, mirabilmente lavorati. Ambedue i capitelli delle colonne erano di getto. Sette file di maglie erano in un capitello e sette nell'altro; | 17 Then he made two nets of checker work with wreaths of chain work for the capitals upon the tops of the pillars; a net for the one capital, and a net for the other capital. |
| 18 e per compimento delle colonne fece due ordini di melagrane intorno a ciascun reticolato per coprire i capitelli sovrapposti alle colonne. Così fece per i due capitelli. | 18 Likewise he made pomegranates; in two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capital that was upon the top of the pillar; and he did the same with the other capital. |
| 19 I capitelli poi che stavano in cima alle colonne nell'atrio erano fatti in forma di giglio ed erano di quattro cubiti. | 19 Now the capitals that were upon the tops of the pillars in the vestibule were of lily-work, four cubits. |
| 20 Vi erano inoltre in cima alle colonne sopra i reticolati altri capitelli, proporzionati alla misura della colonna e intorno a questo secondo capitello, disposte in ordine, duecento melagrane. | 20 The capitals were upon the two pillars and also above the rounded projection which was beside the network; there were two hundred pomegranates, in two rows round about; and so with the other capital. |
| 21 Collocò le due colonne nel portico del tempio e quando ebbe alzata la colonna a mano destra, la chiamò Jachin, e collocata quella a mano sinistra, la chiamò Booz. | 21 He set up the pillars at the vestibule of the temple; he set up the pillar on the south and called its name Jachin; and he set up the pillar on the north and called its name Boaz. |
| 22 In cima alle colonne pose il lavoro fatto a modo di giglio; e così fu compiuta l'opera delle colonne. | 22 And upon the tops of the pillars was lily-work. Thus the work of the pillars was finished. |
| 23 Fece il mare [di rame] di getto, che aveva dieci cubiti da un orlo all'altro ed era di forma rotonda; aveva cinque cubiti di altezza ed era cinto di un orlo di trenta cubiti; | 23 Then he made the molten sea; it was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. |
| 24 sotto l'orlo girava intorno per dieci cubiti un lavoro di scultura, che cingeva il bacino. I due ordini di scultura fatti di getto erano in rilievo. | 24 Under its brim were gourds, for thirty cubits, compassing the sea round about; the gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast. |
| 25 Esso posava sopra dodici buoi, dei quali tre guardavano a settentrione, tre ad occidente, tre a mezzogiorno e tre ad oriente; essi sostenevano il mare e le loro parti posteriori erano rivolte verso il di dentro. | 25 It stood upon twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east; the sea was set upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward. |
| 26 Lo spessore poi della conca era di tre oncie: il suo orlo era fatto come l'orlo di una coppa e come la foglia di un giglio sbocciato: conteneva duemila bati. | 26 Its thickness was a handbreadth; and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; it held two thousand baths. |
| 27 Fece dieci basi di rame; ciascuna avea quattro cubiti di lunghezza, quattro di larghezza e tre di altezza. | 27 He also made the ten stands of bronze; each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three cubits high. |
| 28 Il lavoro delle basi era a cesello con delle sculture fra le giunture; | 28 This was the construction of the stands: they had panels, and the panels were set in the frames |
| 29 e tra piccole corone intrecciate vi erano leoni e buoi e cherubini; e parimenti nelle giunture superiori e sotto i leoni e i buoi pendevano come delle corregge di rame. | 29 and on the panels that were set in the frames were lions, oxen, and cherubim. Upon the frames, both above and below the lions and oxen, there were wreaths of beveled work. |
| 30 Ogni base aveva quattro ruote di rame coi mozzi di rame e ai quattro angoli, sotto il lavacro, eranvi delle spallette di getto, volte l'una verso l'altra. | 30 Moreover each stand had four bronze wheels and axles of bronze; and at the four corners were supports for a laver. The supports were cast, with wreaths at the side of each. |
| 31 Vi era in cima alla base internamente una cavità per ricevere il bacino; quel che appariva al di fuori per un cubito era tutto rotondo e aveva un cubito e mezzo di diametro; agli angoli delle colonne vi erano varie sculture e lo spazio tra le colonne era quadrato e non rotondo. | 31 Its opening was within a crown which projected upward one cubit; its opening was round, as a pedestal is made, a cubit and a half deep. At its opening there were carvings; and its panels were square, not round. |
| 32 Le quattro ruote che erano ai quattro angoli della base si riunivano sotto la base; ogni ruota avea un cubito e mezzo di altezza. | 32 And the four wheels were underneath the panels; the axles of the wheels were of one piece with the stands; and the height of a wheel was a cubit and a half. |
| 33 Tali ruote erano quali sogliono farsi nei carri coi loro assi e raggi e mozzi e cerchi tutti di getto. | 33 The wheels were made like a chariot wheel; their axles, their rims, their spokes, and their hubs, were all cast. |
| 34 Anche le quattro spallette ai singoli angoli di ogni base erano congiunte con essa e di un sol getto colla base. | 34 There were four supports at the four corners of each stand; the supports were of one piece with the stands. |
| 35 La parte superiore della base si terminava con un cerchio di un mezzo cubito di altezza fatto così da potervi mettere sopra il bacino e avea le sue cesellature e sculture varie che si staccavano da esso. | 35 And on the top of the stand there was a round band half a cubit high; and on the top of the stand its stays and its panels were of one piece with it. |
| 36 Sopra quelle tavole che erano di rame ed agli angoli scolpì pure cherubini, leoni e palme a somiglianza di uomini diritti che sembravano non scolpiti, ma aggiunti tutt'intorno. | 36 And on the surfaces of its stays and on its panels, he carved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about. |
| 37 Allo stesso modo fece le dieci basi: la fusione, la misura e la scultura erano uguali; | 37 After this manner he made the ten stands; all of them were cast alike, of the same measure and the same form. |
| 38 fece anche dieci bacini di rame; ciascuno di essi, che conteneva quaranta bati, ed era di quattro cubiti, venne posto su una delle dieci basi; | 38 And he made ten lavers of bronze; each laver held forty baths, each laver measured four cubits, and there was a laver for each of the ten stands. |
| 39 le dieci basi poi furon collocate cinque al lato destro del tempio e cinque al lato sinistro e il mare di rame venne posto dal lato destro del tempio verso oriente e mezzogiorno. | 39 And he set the stands, five on the south side of the house, and five on the north side of the house; and he set the sea on the southeast corner of the house. |
| 40 Iram fece anche pentole, caldaie e secchielli. Compì così tutta l'opera che il re Salomone [gli aveva fatta fare] nel tempio del Signore: | 40 Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished all the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of the LORD: |
| 41 due colonne coi due capitelli coi cordoni sopra i capitelli delle colonne, due reticolati che coprivano i due cordoni, che erano in cima alle colonne; | 41 the two pillars, the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars, and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars; |
| 42 e le quattrocento melagrane per i due reticolati, due ordini di melagrane in ciascun reticolato per coprire i cordoni dei capitelli, che erano in cima alle colonne; | 42 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars; |
| 43 e dieci basi e dieci bacini sopra le basi | 43 the ten stands, and the ten lavers upon the stands; |
| 44 e il bacino grande e i dodici buoi che sostenevano il bacino | 44 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath the sea. |
| 45 e le pentole e le caldaie e i secchielli. Tutti questi oggetti fatti da Iram al re Salomone nella casa del Signore erano di rame fino. | 45 Now the pots, the shovels, and the basins, all these vessels in the house of the LORD, which Hiram made for King Solomon, were of burnished bronze. |
| 46 Il re li aveva fatti fondere nella pianura del Giordano nella terra argillosa tra Socot e Sartan; | 46 In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan. |
| 47 e Salomone ripose tutti questi utensili, ma a cagione della loro grande quantità il rame non venne pesato. | 47 And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them; the weight of the bronze was not found out. |
| 48 Salomone fece fabbricare tutti gli altri utensili nella casa del Signore; l'altare d'oro e la mensa d'oro su cui si ponevano i pani della proposizione, | 48 So Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, the golden table for the bread of the Presence, |
| 49 e i candelabri d'oro, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra, davanti all'oracolo, fatti d'oro fino, come pure i fiori di giglio e le lucerne d'oro al di sopra, e gli smoccolatoi d'oro, | 49 the lampstands of pure gold, five on the south side and five on the north, before the inner sanctuary; the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold; |
| 50 e i vasi, e le forchette, e le coppe, e i mortai e i turiboli di oro purissimo; i cardini delle porte interne del Santo dei Santi e delle porte del tempio erano pure d'oro. | 50 the cups, snuffers, basins, dishes for incense, and firepans, of pure gold; and the sockets of gold, for the doors of the innermost part of the house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the nave of the temple. |
| 51 Salomone compì tutti i lavori che aveva fatto per la casa del Signore e portò l'argento e l'oro e gli oggetti che Davide suo padre aveva consacrato e li mise nei tesori della casa del Signore. | 51 Thus all the work that King Solomon did on the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and the vessels, and stored them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD. |
