Apocalisse 7

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Dopo questo vidi quattro angeli, che stavano ai quattro angoli della terra e trattenevano i quattro venti, perché non soffiasse vento sulla terra, né sul mare, né su alcuna pianta.	1 Next I saw four angels, standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of theworld to keep them from blowing over the land or the sea or any tree.
2 E vidi salire dall’oriente un altro angelo, con il sigillo del Dio vivente. E gridò a gran voce ai quattro angeli, ai quali era stato concesso di devastare la terra e il mare:	2 Then I saw another angel rising where the sun rises, carrying the seal of the living God; he cal ed in apowerful voice to the four angels whose duty was to devastate land and sea,
3 «Non devastate la terra né il mare né le piante, finché non avremo impresso il sigillo sulla fronte dei servi del nostro Dio».	3 'Wait before you do any damage on land or at sea or to the trees, until we have put the seal on theforeheads of the servants of our God.'
4 E udii il numero di coloro che furono segnati con il sigillo: centoquarantaquattromila segnati, provenienti da ogni tribù dei figli d’Israele:	4 And I heard how many had been sealed: a hundred and forty-four thousand, out of al the tribes ofIsrael.
5 dalla tribù di Giuda, dodicimila segnati con il sigillo; dalla tribù di Ruben, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Gad, dodicimila;	5 From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand had been sealed; from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand;from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand;
6 dalla tribù di Aser, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Nèftali, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Manasse, dodicimila;	6 from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand; from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand; from the tribe ofManasseh, twelve thousand;
7 dalla tribù di Simeone, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Levi, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Ìssacar, dodicimila;	7 from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand; from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; from the tribe ofIssachar, twelve thousand;
8 dalla tribù di Zàbulon, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Giuseppe, dodicimila; dalla tribù di Beniamino, dodicimila segnati con il sigillo.	8 from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand; and from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand had beensealed.
9 Dopo queste cose vidi: ecco, una moltitudine immensa, che nessuno poteva contare, di ogni nazione, tribù, popolo e lingua. Tutti stavano in piedi davanti al trono e davanti all’Agnello, avvolti in vesti candide, e tenevano rami di palma nelle loro mani.	9 After that I saw that there was a huge number, impossible for anyone to count, of people from everynation, race, tribe and language; they were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed inwhite robes and holding palms in their hands. They shouted in a loud voice,
10 E gridavano a gran voce: «La salvezza appartiene al nostro Dio, seduto sul trono, e all’Agnello».	10 'Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'
11 E tutti gli angeli stavano attorno al trono e agli anziani e ai quattro esseri viventi, e si inchinarono con la faccia a terra davanti al trono e adorarono Dio dicendo:	11 And al the angels who were standing in a circle round the throne, surrounding the elders and the fourliving creatures, prostrated themselves before the throne, and touched the ground with their foreheads,worshipping God
12 «Amen! Lode, gloria, sapienza, azione di grazie, onore, potenza e forza al nostro Dio nei secoli dei secoli. Amen».	12 with these words: Amen. Praise and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honour and power andstrength to our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 Uno degli anziani allora si rivolse a me e disse: «Questi, che sono vestiti di bianco, chi sono e da dove vengono?».	13 One of the elders then spoke and asked me, 'Who are these people, dressed in white robes, andwhere have they come from?'
14 Gli risposi: «Signore mio, tu lo sai». E lui: «Sono quelli che vengono dalla grande tribolazione e che hanno lavato le loro vesti, rendendole candide nel sangue dell’Agnello.	14 I answered him, 'You can tel me, sir.' Then he said, 'These are the people who have been through thegreat trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Per questo stanno davanti al trono di Dio e gli prestano servizio giorno e notte nel suo tempio; e Colui che siede sul trono stenderà la sua tenda sopra di loro.	15 That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary;and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.
16 Non avranno più fame né avranno più sete, non li colpirà il sole né arsura alcuna,	16 They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind wil never plague them,
17 perché l’Agnello, che sta in mezzo al trono, sarà il loro pastore e li guiderà alle fonti delle acque della vita. E Dio asciugherà ogni lacrima dai loro occhi».	17 because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne wil be their shepherd and wil guide them tosprings of living water; and God wil wipe away al tears from their eyes.'
