Apocalisse 14

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E vidi: ecco l’Agnello in piedi sul monte Sion, e insieme a lui centoquarantaquattromila persone, che recavano scritto sulla fronte il suo nome e il nome del Padre suo.	1 Next in my vision I saw Mount Zion, and standing on it the Lamb who had with him a hundred andforty-four thousand people, all with his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.
2 E udii una voce che veniva dal cielo, come un fragore di grandi acque e come un rimbombo di forte tuono. La voce che udii era come quella di suonatori di cetra che si accompagnano nel canto con le loro cetre.	2 I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of the ocean or the roar of thunder; it was like thesound of harpists playing their harps.
3 Essi cantano come un canto nuovo davanti al trono e davanti ai quattro esseri viventi e agli anziani. E nessuno poteva comprendere quel canto se non i centoquarantaquattromila, i redenti della terra.	3 There before the throne they were singing a new hymn in the presence of the four living creatures andthe elders, a hymn that could be learnt only by the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemedfrom the world.
4 Sono coloro che non si sono contaminati con donne; sono vergini, infatti, e seguono l’Agnello dovunque vada. Questi sono stati redenti tra gli uomini come primizie per Dio e per l’Agnello.	4 These are the sons who have kept their virginity and not been defiled with women; they fol ow theLamb wherever he goes; they, out of al people, have been redeemed to be the first-fruits for God and for theLamb.
5 Non fu trovata menzogna sulla loro bocca: sono senza macchia.	5 No lie was found in their mouths and no fault can be found in them.
6 E vidi un altro angelo che, volando nell’alto del cielo, recava un vangelo eterno da annunciare agli abitanti della terra e ad ogni nazione, tribù, lingua e popolo.	6 Then I saw another angel, flying high overhead, sent to announce the gospel of eternity to al who liveon the earth, every nation, race, language and tribe.
7 Egli diceva a gran voce: «Temete Dio e dategli gloria, perché è giunta l’ora del suo giudizio. Adorate colui che ha fatto il cielo e la terra, il mare e le sorgenti delle acque».	7 He was cal ing, 'Fear God and glorify him, because the time has come for him to sit in judgement;worship the maker of heaven and earth and sea and the springs of water.'
8 E un altro angelo, il secondo, lo seguì dicendo: «È caduta, è caduta Babilonia la grande, quella che ha fatto bere a tutte le nazioni il vino della sua sfrenata prostituzione».	8 A second angel fol owed him, cal ing, 'Babylon has fallen, Babylon the Great has fal en, Babylon whichgave the whole world the wine of retribution to drink.'
9 E un altro angelo, il terzo, li seguì dicendo a gran voce: «Chiunque adora la bestia e la sua statua, e ne riceve il marchio sulla fronte o sulla mano,	9 A third angel fol owed, shouting aloud, 'Al those who worship the beast and his statue, or have hadthemselves branded on the hand or forehead,
10 anch’egli berrà il vino dell’ira di Dio, che è versato puro nella coppa della sua ira, e sarà torturato con fuoco e zolfo al cospetto degli angeli santi e dell’Agnello.	10 wil be made to drink the wine of God's fury which is ready, undiluted, in his cup of retribution; in fireand brimstone they wil be tortured in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb
11 Il fumo del loro tormento salirà per i secoli dei secoli, e non avranno riposo né giorno né notte quanti adorano la bestia e la sua statua e chiunque riceve il marchio del suo nome».	11 and the smoke of their torture will rise for ever and ever. There wil be no respite, night or day, forthose who worship the beast or its statue or accept branding with its name.'
12 Qui sta la perseveranza dei santi, che custodiscono i comandamenti di Dio e la fede in Gesù.	12 This is why there must be perseverance in the saints who keep the commandments of God and faithin Jesus.
13 E udii una voce dal cielo che diceva: «Scrivi: d’ora in poi, beati i morti che muoiono nel Signore. Sì – dice lo Spirito –, essi riposeranno dalle loro fatiche, perché le loro opere li seguono».	13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say to me, 'Write down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord!Blessed indeed, the Spirit says; now they can rest for ever after their work, since their good deeds go with them.'
14 E vidi: ecco una nube bianca, e sulla nube stava seduto uno simile a un Figlio d’uomo: aveva sul capo una corona d’oro e in mano una falce affilata.	14 Now in my vision I saw a white cloud and, sitting on it, one like a son of man with a gold crown on hishead and a sharp sickle in his hand.
15 Un altro angelo uscì dal tempio, gridando a gran voce a colui che era seduto sulla nube: «Getta la tua falce e mieti; è giunta l’ora di mietere, perché la messe della terra è matura».	15 Then another angel came out of the sanctuary and shouted at the top of his voice to the one sittingon the cloud, 'Ply your sickle and reap: harvest time has come and the harvest of the earth is ripe.'
16 Allora colui che era seduto sulla nube lanciò la sua falce sulla terra e la terra fu mietuta.	16 Then the one sitting on the cloud set his sickle to work on the earth, and the harvest of earth was reaped.
17 Allora un altro angelo uscì dal tempio che è nel cielo, tenendo anch’egli una falce affilata.	17 Another angel, who also carried a sharp sickle, came out of the temple in heaven,
18 Un altro angelo, che ha potere sul fuoco, venne dall’altare e gridò a gran voce a quello che aveva la falce affilata: «Getta la tua falce affilata e vendemmia i grappoli della vigna della terra, perché le sue uve sono mature».	18 and the angel in charge of the fire left the altar and shouted at the top of his voice to the one with thesharp sickle, 'Put your sickle in, and harvest the bunches from the vine of the earth; al its grapes are ripe.'
19 L’angelo lanciò la sua falce sulla terra, vendemmiò la vigna della terra e rovesciò l’uva nel grande tino dell’ira di Dio.	19 So the angel set his sickle to work on the earth and harvested the whole vintage of the earth and putit into a huge winepress, the winepress of God's anger,
20 Il tino fu pigiato fuori della città e dal tino uscì sangue fino al morso dei cavalli, per una distanza di milleseicento stadi.	20 outside the city, where it was trodden until the blood that came out of the winepress was up to thehorses' bridles as far away as sixteen hundred furlongs.
