Salmos 27

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De David. Yahveh es mi luz y mi salvación, ¿a quién he de temer? Yahveh, el refugio de mi vida, ¿por quién he de temblar?	1 [Of David] Yahweh is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? Yahweh is the fortress of my life,whom should I dread?
2 Cuando se acercan contra mí los malhechores a devorar mi carne, son ellos, mis adversarios y enemigos, los que tropiezan y sucumben.	2 When the wicked advance against me to eat me up, they, my opponents, my enemies, are the oneswho stumble and fal .
3 Aunque acampe contra mí un ejército, mi corazón no teme; aunque estalle una guerra contra mí, estoy seguro en ella.	3 Though an army pitch camp against me, my heart wil not fear, though war break out against me, mytrust wil never be shaken.
4 Una cosa he pedido a Yahveh, una cosa estoy buscando: morar en la Casa de Yahveh, todos los días de mi vida, para gustar la dulzura de Yahveh y cuidar de su Templo.	4 One thing I ask of Yahweh, one thing I seek: to dwel in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, toenjoy the sweetness of Yahweh, to seek out his temple.
5 Que él me dará cobijo en su cabaña en día de desdicha; me esconderá en lo oculto de su tienda, sobre una roca me levantará.	5 For he hides me away under his roof on the day of evil, he folds me in the recesses of his tent, setsme high on a rock.
6 Y ahora se alza mi cabeza sobre mis enemigos que me hostigan; en su tienda voy a sacrificar. sacrificios de aclamación. Cantaré, salmodiaré a Yahveh.	6 Now my head is held high above the enemies who surround me; in his tent I wil offer sacrifices ofacclaim. I wil sing, I wil make music for Yahweh.
7 Escucha, Yahveh, mi voz que clama, ¡tenme piedad, respóndeme!	7 Yahweh, hear my voice as I cry, pity me, answer me!
8 Dice de ti mi corazón: «Busca su rostro». Sí, Yahveh, tu rostro busco:	8 Of you my heart has said, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Yahweh, I seek;
9 No me ocultes tu rostro. No rechaces con cólera a tu siervo; tú eres mi auxilio. No me abandones, no me dejes, Dios de mi salvación.	9 do not turn away from me. Do not thrust aside your servant in anger, without you I am helpless. Neverleave me, never forsake me, God, my Saviour.
10 Si mi padre y mi madre me abandonan, Yahveh me acogerá.	10 Though my father and mother forsake me, Yahweh wil gather me up.
11 Enséñame tu camino, Yahveh, guíame por senda llana, por causa de los que me asechan;	11 Yahweh, teach me your way, lead me on the path of integrity because of my enemies;
12 no me entregues al ansia de mis adversarios, pues se han alzado contra mí falsos testigos, que respiran violencia.	12 do not abandon me to the wil of my foes -- false witnesses have risen against me, and are breathingout violence.
13 ¡Ay, si estuviera seguro de ver la bondad de Yahveh en la tierra de los vivos!	13 This I believe: I shal see the goodness of Yahweh, in the land of the living.
14 Espera en Yahveh, ten valor y firme corazón, espera en Yahveh.	14 Put your hope in Yahweh, be strong, let your heart be bold, put your hope in Yahweh.
