1 - Al corifeo: per l'ottava. Salmo di David.	1 Unto the end. For the octave. A Psalm of David.
2 Salvami, o Signore, perché scomparso è l'uomo pio, perché la sincerità è venuta meno tra i figli degli uomini!	2 Save me, O Lord, because holiness has passed away, because truths have been diminished, before the sons of men.
3 Falsità parlano ognuno col prossimo suo; con labbra ingannatrici, con cuor doppio essi parlano.	3 They have been speaking emptiness, each one to his neighbor; they have been speaking with deceitful lips and a duplicitous heart.
4 Disperda il Signore tutte le labbra ingannatrici, e la lingua del parlare arrogante;	4 May the Lord scatter all deceitful lips, along with the tongue that speaks malice.
5 coloro che dicono: «Magnificheremo la nostra lingua: le nostre labbra son con noi; chi potrà padroneggiarci?».	5 They have said: “We will magnify our tongue; our lips belong to us. What is Lord to us?”
6 «Per l'afflizione de' miseri e il gemito de' tapini, or io mi levo su», dice il Signore. «Porrò in salvo [l'oppresso]: risolutamente per lui agirò».	6 Because of the misery of the destitute and the groaning of the poor, now I will arise, says the Lord. I will place him in safety. I will act faithfully toward him.
7 Le parole del Signore son parole sincere, argento saggiato al fuoco in un crogiuolo di terra, purificato sette volte.	7 The eloquence of the Lord is pure eloquence, silver tested by fire, purged from the earth, refined seven times.
8 Tu, o Signore, ci salveraie ci guarderai da questa genia in eterno.	8 You, O Lord, will preserve us, and you will guard us from this generation into eternity.
9 Van dattorno gli empi; [ma] secondo la tua sublimità tu moltiplichi [e proteggi] gli uomini [a te fedeli].	9 The impious wander aimlessly. According to your loftiness, you have multiplied the sons of men.
