BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Farai venire a te Aronne tuo fratello, co' figli suoi, di mezzo a' figliuoli d' Israele, acciò siano addetti al mio sacerdozio: Aronne, Nadab, Abiu, Eleazar e Itamar.	1 'From among the Israelites, summon your brother Aaron and his sons to be priests in my service:Aaron and Aaron's sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
2 Farai ad Aronne tuo fratello le vesti sacre, a gloria ed ornamento.	2 For your brother Aaron you wil make sacred vestments to give dignity and magnificence.
3 E dirai a tutti i più abili, da me ripieni dello spirito di saggezza, che facciano ad Aronne le vesti, con le quali santificato mi serva.	3 You will instruct al the skilled men, whom I have endowed with skil , to make Aaron's vestments for hisconsecration to my priesthood.
4 Ecco ora le vesti che appresteranno: il razionale ed il sopraomerale, la tunica di sopra e la tunica di lino stretta, la tiara e la cintura. Faranno le vesti sacre ad Aronne tuo fratello ed a' suoi figli, acciò esercitino il sacerdozio dinanzi a me.	4 These are the vestments which they must make: a pectoral, an ephod, a robe, an embroidered tunic, aturban and a belt. They must make sacred vestments for your brother Aaron and his sons, for them to be priestsin my service.
5 [Per farle], prenderanno oro, giacinto, porpora, cocco tinto due volte, e bisso.	5 They wil use gold and violet material, red-purple and crimson, and finely woven linen.
6 Faranno dunque il sopraomerale, d'oro, giacinto, porpora, cocco tinto due volte, e bisso ritorto, a lavoro di più colori.	6 'They wil make the ephod of finely woven linen embroidered with gold, violet-purple, red-purple andcrimson.
7 Avrà due strisce alla sommità, da una parte e dall'altra, per tenerlo insieme.	7 It wil have two shoulder-straps joined to it; it will be joined to them by its two edges.
8 La sua tessitura e tutto il suo lavoro sarà d'oro, giacinto, porpora, cocco tinto due volte, e bisso ritorto.	8 The waistband on the ephod to hold it in position must be of the same workmanship and be of a piecewith it: of gold, violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and finely woven linen.
9 Poi prenderai due pietre di onice, e vi scolpirai i nomi de' figli d' Israele:	9 You will then take two cornelians and engrave them with the names of the sons of Israel,
10 sei nomi su una pietra, e gli altri sei sull'altra, secondo l'ordine della loro nascita.	10 six of their names on one stone, the remaining six names on the other, in the order of their birth.
11 Col lavoro dello scultore e dell' incisore in gemme, dopo aver incassate ed incastonate quelle pietre nell'orlo, vi scolpirai i nomi de' figli d' Israele,	11 By the stone-carver's art -- seal engraving -- you wil engrave the two stones with the names of thesons of Israel. You will have them mounted in gold settings
12 e le porrai sui due lati del sopraomerale, in memoria de' figli d' Israele. Aronne porterà innanzi al Signore sulle due spalle i loro nomi, per ricordo.	12 and wil put the two stones on the shoulder-straps of the ephod, to commemorate the sons of Israel.In this way Aaron will bear their names on his two shoulders, before Yahweh, as a reminder.
13 Farai anche degli uncinetti d'oro,	13 You wil also make golden rosettes,
14 e due catenelle d'oro purissimo, attorcigliate, che fermerai agli uncinetti.	14 and two chains of pure gold twisted like cord, and wil attach the cord-like chains to the rosettes.
15 Farai anche il razionale del giudizio, lavorato a più colori, tessuto come il sopraomerale, d'oro, giacinto, porpora, cocco tinto due volte, e bisso ritorto.	15 'You wil make the breastplate of judgement of the same embroidered work as the ephod; you wilmake it of gold, violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and finely woven linen.
16 Sarà quadro, e raddoppiato, della misura di un palmo tanto in lunghezza quanto in larghezza.	16 It must be square and doubled over, a span in length and a span in width.
17 Fermerai su di esso quattro file di pietre preziose; nella prima: sardio, topazio, smeraldo;	17 In it you wil set four rows of stones: a sard, topaz and emerald for the first row;
18 nella seconda: carbonchio, zaffiro, jaspide;	18 for the second row, a garnet, sapphire and diamond;
19 nella terza: ligurio, agata, ametista;	19 for the third row, a hyacinth, a ruby and an amethyst;
20 nella quarta: crisolito, onice, berillo. Saranno incastrate nell'oro, fila per fila.	20 and for the fourth row, a beryl, a cornelian and a jasper. These must be mounted in gold settings.
21 E porteranno i nomi de' figli d' Israele; i dodici nomi saranno incisi, uno per ogni pietra, secondo le dodici tribù.	21 The stones wil correspond to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve like their names, engraved likeseals, each with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
22 Farai per il razionale delle catenelle attorcigliate, d'oro purissimo,	22 For the breastplate you wil make chains of pure gold twisted like cords,
23 e due anelli d'oro, che porrai ai due lati in cima al razionale;	23 and on the breastplate you wil make two gold rings, putting the two rings on the two outside edges ofthe breastplate
24 inserirai le catenelle negli anelli che sono ai margini,	24 and fastening the two gold cords to the two rings on the outside edges of the breastplate.
25 e fermerai l'estremità delle catenelle con due uncinetti alle due parti del sopraomerale che corrispondono al razionale.	25 The other two ends of the cords you wil fasten to the two rosettes, putting these on the shoulder-straps of the ephod, on the front.
26 Poi farai due anelli d'oro, i quali porrai in fondo al razionale sulla parte interna a contatto del sopraomerale.	26 You wil also make two gold rings and put them on the two edges of the breastplate, on the innerside, against the ephod;
27 Due altri anelli d'oro dovranno esser posti ai due lati del sopraomerale, in basso, in corrispondenza di quelli del razionale, affinchè questo possa fermarsi sul sopraomerale.	27 and you wil make two gold rings and put them low down on the front of the two shoulder-pieces ofthe ephod, close to the join, above the waistband of the ephod.
28 Gli anelli del razionale siano legati a quelli del sopraomerale da un nastro color giacinto, di modo che restino uniti, ed il razionale ed il sopraomerale non possano stare disgiunti.	28 The breastplate wil be secured by a violet-purple cord passed through its rings and those of theephod, so that the breastplate wil sit above the waistband and not come apart from the ephod.
29 Quando Aronne entrerà nel santuario, porterà sul petto, nel razionale del giudizio, i nomi de' figli d'Israele, memoriale perpetuo al cospetto di Dio.	29 Thus Aaron wil bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgement, on his heart,when he enters the sanctuary, as a reminder, before Yahweh, always.
30 Porrai poi nel razionale del giudizio la Dottrina e la Verità, che staranno sul petto d'Aronne, quando si presenterà innanzi al Signore; così porterà sempre sul petto, in presenza del Signore, il giudizio dei figli d'Israele.	30 To the breastplate of judgement you will add the urim and the thummim, and these wil be on Aaron'sheart when he goes into Yahweh's presence, and Aaron will bear the Israelites' judgement on his heart, inYahweh's presence, always.
31 Farai anche la tunica del sopraomerale, tutta di color giacinto;	31 'You wil make the robe of the ephod entirely of violet-purple.
32 nel mezzo, in alto, avrà un'apertura [per passarvi la testa], con un orlo in giro tessuto, come si suol fare in fonde alle vesti, acciò non si rompa facilmente.	32 In the centre it will have an opening for the head, the opening to have round it a border woven likethe neck of a coat of mail, so that it wil not get torn.
33 Da piede poi, all'estremo della tunica stessa, metterai torno torno come delle melagrane di giacinto, porpora, e cocco tinto due volte, inframezzate da sonagli,	33 On its lower hem, you wil make pomegranates of violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, and finelywoven linen al round the hem, with golden bel s between them al round:
34 di modo che vi sia un sonaglio d'oro ed una melagrana, e poi un altro sonaglio ed una melagrana.	34 a golden bell and then a pomegranate, alternately, al round the lower hem of the robe.
35 Aronne se ne vestirà nell'esercizio del suo ministero, e non morrà; ed il suono de' sonaglietti s'udirà quando egli entra ed esce dalla presenza del Signore nel santuario.	35 Aaron must wear it when he officiates, and the tinkling will be heard when he goes into the sanctuaryinto Yahweh's presence, or leaves it, and so he wil not incur death.
36 Farai anche una lamina d'oro purissimo, sulla quale farai scolpire da un incisore: «Santo al Signore».	36 'You wil make a flower of pure gold and on it, as you would engrave a seal, you wil engrave,"Consecrated to Yahweh".
37 La legherai con un nastro color giacinto e starà sulla tiara,	37 You wil put it on a violet-purple cord; it wil go on the turban; the front of the turban is the place whereit must go.
38 dominando la fronte del pontefice. Aronne porterà i peccati commessi da' figli d'Israele in tutte le loro oblazioni e sacrifizi doni ed offerte. Quella lamina sarà sempre sulla sua fronte, acciò si plachi con loro il Signore.	38 This wil go on Aaron's brow, and Aaron will thus take on himself the short-comings in the holy thingsconsecrated by the Israelites, in all their holy offerings. It wil be on his brow permanently, to make themacceptable to Yahweh.
39 Farai di bisso la tunica stretta, di bisso la tiara, e di lavoro a ricamo la cintura.	39 The tunic you wil weave of fine linen, and make a turban of fine linen, and an embroideredwaistband.
40 Quanto ai figli d'Aronne, preparerai loro delle tuniche di lino, cinture e mitre, a gloria e decoro;	40 'For the sons of Aaron you will make tunics and waistbands. You wil also make them head-dressesto give dignity and magnificence.
41 di tutti questi ornamenti vestirai Aronne tuo fratello ed i suoi figliuoli con lui. Di tutti loro consacrerai le mani, e li santificherai acciò ministrino a me nel sacerdozio.	41 You wil dress your brother Aaron and his sons in these; you wil then anoint them, invest them andconsecrate them to serve me in the priesthood.
42 Farai anche dei calzoni di lino, per coprire la loro carne, dai reni sino ai ginocchi.	42 You wil also make them linen breeches reaching from waist to thigh, to cover their bare flesh.
43 Aronne ed i suoi figli se li metteranno quando entreranno nel tabernacolo del testimonio; o quando si accostano all'altare per ministrare nel santuario; se no, rei di peccato, morranno. Sarà questa una legge sempiterna per Aronne e pe' suoi discendenti dopo di lui.	43 Aaron and his sons wil wear these when they go into the Tent of Meeting and when they approachthe altar to serve in the sanctuary, as a precaution against incurring mortal guilt. This is a perpetual decree forAaron and for his descendants after him.'
