1 Il Signore disse ad Aronne: «Tu, i tuoi figli e la casa di tuo padre con te porterete il peso delle colpe commesse nel santuario; tu e i tuoi figli con te porterete il peso delle colpe commesse nell’esercizio del vostro sacerdozio.	1 The LORD said to Aaron, "You and your sons as well as the other members of your ancestral house shall be responsible for the sanctuary; but the responsibility of the priesthood shall rest on you and your sons alone.
2 Anche i tuoi fratelli, la tribù di Levi, la tribù di tuo padre, farai accostare a te, perché si aggiungano a te e ti assistano quando tu e i tuoi figli con te sarete davanti alla tenda della Testimonianza.	2 Bring with you also your other kinsmen of the tribe of Levi, your ancestral tribe, as your associates and assistants, while you and your sons are in front of the tent of the commandments.
3 Essi staranno al tuo servizio e al servizio di tutta la tenda; soltanto non si accosteranno agli arredi del santuario né all’altare, perché non moriate né loro né voi.	3 They shall look after your persons and the whole tent; however, they shall not come near the sacred vessels or the altar, lest both they and you die.
4 Essi si aggiungeranno a te e presteranno servizio alla tenda del convegno per tutto il servizio della tenda, e nessun profano si accosterà a voi.	4 As your associates they shall have charge of all the work connected with the meeting tent. But no layman shall come near you.
5 Voi sarete addetti alla custodia del santuario e dell’altare, e non vi sarà più ira contro gli Israeliti.	5 You shall have charge of the sanctuary and of the altar, that wrath may not fall again upon the Israelites.
6 Quanto a me, ecco, io ho preso i vostri fratelli, i leviti, tra gli Israeliti; dati al Signore, essi sono resi in dono a voi, per prestare servizio nella tenda del convegno.	6 "Remember, it is I who have taken your kinsmen, the Levites, from the body of the Israelites; they are a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD for the service of the meeting tent.
7 Tu e i tuoi figli con te eserciterete il vostro sacerdozio per tutto ciò che riguarda l’altare e ciò che è oltre il velo, e presterete il vostro servizio. Io vi do l’esercizio del sacerdozio come un dono. Il profano che si accosterà sarà messo a morte».	7 But only you and your sons are to have charge of performing the priestly functions in whatever concerns the altar and the room within the veil. I give you the priesthood as a gift. Any layman who draws near shall be put to death."
8 Il Signore parlò ancora ad Aronne: «Ecco, io ti do il diritto su tutto ciò che si preleva per me, cioè su tutte le cose consacrate dagli Israeliti; le do a te e ai tuoi figli, a motivo della tua unzione, per legge perenne.	8 The LORD said to Aaron, "I myself have given you charge of the contributions made to me in the various sacred offerings of the Israelites; by perpetual ordinance I have assigned them to you and to your sons as your priestly share.
9 Questo ti apparterrà fra le cose santissime, fra le loro offerte destinate al fuoco: ogni oblazione, ogni sacrificio per il peccato e ogni sacrificio di riparazione che mi presenteranno; sono tutte cose santissime che apparterranno a te e ai tuoi figli.	9 You shall have the right to share in the oblations that are most sacred, in whatever they offer me as cereal offerings or sin offerings or guilt offerings; these shares shall accrue to you and to your sons.
10 Le mangerai in luogo santissimo; ne mangerà ogni maschio. Le tratterai come cose sante.	10 In eating them you shall treat them as most sacred; every male among you may partake of them. As sacred, they belong to you.
11 Questo ancora ti apparterrà: i doni che gli Israeliti presenteranno come tributo prelevato e tutte le loro offerte fatte con il rito di elevazione. Io le do a te, ai tuoi figli e alle tue figlie con te, per legge perenne. Chiunque sarà puro in casa tua ne potrà mangiare.	11 "You shall also have what is removed from the gift in every wave offering of the Israelites; by perpetual ordinance I have assigned it to you and to your sons and daughters. All in your family who are clean may partake of it.
12 Ti do anche tutte le primizie che offriranno al Signore: il meglio dell’olio nuovo, il meglio del mosto e del grano.	12 I have also assigned to you all the best of the new oil and of the new wine and grain that they give to the LORD as their first fruits;
13 Le primizie di quanto produrrà la loro terra, che essi porteranno al Signore, saranno tue. Chiunque sarà puro in casa tua ne potrà mangiare.	13 and likewise, of whatever grows on their land, the first products that they bring in to the LORD shall be yours; all of your family who are clean may partake of them.
14 Quanto in Israele sarà consacrato per voto di sterminio sarà tuo.	14 Whatever is doomed in Israel shall be yours.
15 Ogni essere che nasce per primo da ogni essere vivente, offerto al Signore, sia degli uomini sia degli animali, sarà tuo; però farai riscattare il primogenito dell’uomo e farai anche riscattare il primo nato dell’animale impuro.	15 Every living thing that opens the womb, whether of man or of beast, such as are to be offered to the LORD, shall be yours; but you must let the first-born of man, as well as of unclean animals, be redeemed.
16 Il tuo riscatto, lo effettuerai dall’età di un mese, secondo la stima di cinque sicli d’argento, conformi al siclo del santuario, che è di venti ghera.	16 The ransom for a boy is to be paid when he is a month old; it is fixed at five silver shekels according to the sanctuary standard, twenty gerahs to the shekel.
17 Ma non farai riscattare il primo nato della mucca, né il primo nato della pecora, né il primo nato della capra: sono cosa sacra. Verserai il loro sangue sull’altare e farai bruciare le loro parti grasse come sacrificio consumato dal fuoco, profumo gradito al Signore.	17 But the first-born of cattle, sheep or goats shall not be redeemed; they are sacred. Their blood you must splash on the altar and their fat you must burn as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
18 La loro carne sarà tua; sarà tua come il petto dell’offerta che si fa con il rito di elevazione e come la coscia destra.	18 Their meat, however, shall be yours, just as the breast and the right leg of the wave offering belong to you.
19 Io do a te, ai tuoi figli e alle tue figlie con te, per legge perenne, tutte le offerte di cose sante che gli Israeliti preleveranno per il Signore. È un’alleanza inviolabile, perenne, davanti al Signore, per te e per la tua discendenza con te».	19 By perpetual ordinance I have assigned to you and to your sons and daughters all the contributions from the sacred gifts which the Israelites make to the LORD; this is an inviolable covenant to last forever before the LORD, for you and for your descendants."
20 Il Signore disse ad Aronne: «Tu non avrai alcuna eredità nella loro terra e non ci sarà parte per te in mezzo a loro. Io sono la tua parte e la tua eredità in mezzo agli Israeliti.	20 Then the LORD said to Aaron, "You shall not have any heritage in the land of the Israelites nor hold any portion among them; I will be your portion and your heritage among them.
21 Ai figli di Levi io do in possesso tutte le decime in Israele, in cambio del servizio che fanno, il servizio della tenda del convegno.	21 "To the Levites, however, I hereby assign all tithes in Israel as their heritage in recompense for the service they perform in the meeting tent.
22 Gli Israeliti non si accosteranno più alla tenda del convegno, per non caricarsi di un peccato che li farebbe morire.	22 The Israelites may no longer approach the meeting tent; else they will incur guilt deserving death.
23 Ma il servizio nella tenda del convegno lo faranno soltanto i leviti; essi porteranno il peso della loro colpa. Sarà una legge perenne, di generazione in generazione. Non possederanno eredità tra gli Israeliti,	23 Only the Levites are to perform the service of the meeting tent, and they alone shall be held responsible; this is a perpetual ordinance for all your generations. The Levites, therefore, shall not have any heritage among the Israelites,
24 poiché io do in possesso ai leviti le decime che gli Israeliti preleveranno come contributo per il Signore; per questo ho detto di loro: “Non avranno possesso ereditario tra gli Israeliti”».	24 for I have assigned to them as their heritage the tithes which the Israelites give as a contribution to the LORD. That is why I have ordered that they are not to have any heritage among the Israelites."
25 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:	25 The LORD said to Moses,
26 «Parlerai inoltre ai leviti dicendo loro: “Quando prenderete dagli Israeliti la decima che io ho dato a voi da parte loro come vostra eredità, preleverete un’offerta come contributo al Signore: una decima dalla decima.	26 "Give the Levites these instructions: When you receive from the Israelites the tithes I have assigned you from them as your heritage, you are to make a contribution from them to the LORD, a tithe of the tithes;
27 Il vostro prelevamento vi sarà calcolato come quello del grano che viene dall’aia e come il mosto che esce dal torchio.	27 and your contribution will be credited to you as if it were grain from the threshing floor or new wine from the press.
28 Così anche voi preleverete un’offerta per il Signore da tutte le decime che riceverete dagli Israeliti e darete al sacerdote Aronne l’offerta che avrete prelevato per il Signore.	28 Thus you too shall make a contribution from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites, handing over to Aaron the priest the part to be contributed to the LORD.
29 Da tutte le cose che vi saranno concesse preleverete tutte le offerte per il Signore; di tutto ciò che vi sarà di meglio preleverete la parte sacra”.	29 From all the gifts that you receive, and from the best parts, you are to consecrate to the LORD your own full contribution.
30 Dirai loro: “Quando ne avrete prelevato il meglio, quel che rimane sarà calcolato per i leviti come il provento dell’aia e come il provento del torchio.	30 "Tell them also: Once you have made your contribution from the best part, the rest of the tithes will be credited to you Levites as if it were produce of the threshing floor or of the winepress.
31 Lo potrete mangiare in qualunque luogo, voi e le vostre famiglie, perché è il vostro salario, in cambio del vostro servizio nella tenda del convegno.	31 Your families, as well as you, may eat them anywhere, since they are your recompense for service at the meeting tent.
32 Dal momento che ne avrete prelevato la parte migliore, non sarete gravati da alcun peccato; non profanerete le cose sante degli Israeliti e non morirete”».	32 You will incur no guilt so long as you make a contribution of the best part. Do not profane the sacred gifts of the Israelites and so bring death on yourselves."
