Osea 5

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ascoltate questo, o sacerdoti, state attenti, casa d’Israele, o casa del re, porgete l’orecchio, perché a voi toccava esercitare la giustizia; voi foste infatti un laccio a Mispa, una rete tesa sul Tabor	1 Hear this, you priests, listen, House of Israel, pay attention, royal House, for it is you who have justice inyour care, but you have been a snare at Mizpah and a net outspread on Tabor.
2 e una fossa profonda a Sittìm. Ma io correggerò tutti costoro.	2 They have dug the ditch deep at Shittim and so I am going to punish them al .
3 Io conosco Èfraim e non mi è ignoto Israele. Ti sei prostituito, Èfraim! Si è reso impuro Israele.	3 Ephraim have I known, Israel is not hidden from me; and yet, Ephraim, you have played the whore,Israel is befouled.
4 Le loro azioni non permettono di fare ritorno al loro Dio, perché uno spirito di prostituzione è fra loro e non conoscono il Signore.	4 Their deeds do not al ow them to return to their God, since an urge to play the whore possesses themand they no longer know Yahweh.
5 L’arroganza d’Israele testimonia contro di lui, Israele ed Èfraim inciamperanno per le loro colpe e Giuda inciamperà con loro.	5 Israel's arrogance is his accuser, the guilt of Israel and Ephraim is their undoing, Judah too wil beundone with them.
6 Con le loro greggi e i loro armenti andranno in cerca del Signore, ma non lo troveranno: egli si è allontanato da loro.	6 Though they go in search of Yahweh with their sheep and cattle, they wil not find him; he haswithdrawn from them.
7 Sono stati infedeli verso il Signore, generando figli bastardi: la nuova luna li divorerà insieme con i loro campi.	7 They have betrayed Yahweh because they have fathered bastards; now the new moon wil devourthem and their fields.
8 Suonate il corno a Gàbaa e la tromba a Rama, date l’allarme a Bet-Aven, all’erta, Beniamino!	8 Sound the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah, raise the war cry in Beth-Aven, 'We are behind you,Benjamin!'
9 Èfraim sarà devastato nel giorno del castigo: per le tribù d’Israele annuncio una cosa sicura.	9 When the day of punishment comes, Ephraim wil be a wasteland; on the tribes of Israel I havepronounced certain doom.
10 I capi di Giuda sono diventati come quelli che spostano i confini e su di loro come acqua verserò la mia ira.	10 The rulers of Judah act like men who move the boundary stone; I shall pour my wrath out on them likea flood.
11 Èfraim è schiacciato dal giudizio, da quando ha cominciato a inseguire il nulla.	11 Ephraim is oppressed, crushed by the sentence, for having deliberately fol owed a Lie.
12 Ma io sarò come una tignola per Èfraim, e come un tarlo per la casa di Giuda.	12 Because of this, I shall be like ringworm for Ephraim and like gangrene for the House of Judah.
13 Èfraim ha visto la sua infermità e Giuda la sua piaga. Èfraim è ricorso all’Assiria e Giuda si è rivolto al gran re; ma egli non potrà curarvi, non guarirà la vostra piaga,	13 Once Ephraim realised that he was sick and Judah that he had an ulcer, Ephraim then went toAssyria, he sent messengers to the Great King; but he has no power to cure you or to heal you of your sore;
14 perché io sarò come un leone per Èfraim, come un leoncello per la casa di Giuda. Io li sbranerò e me ne andrò, porterò via la preda e nessuno me la toglierà.	14 for I shal be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the House of Judah; I myself shal rend them,then go my way, shal carry them off, beyond hope of rescue.
15 Me ne ritornerò alla mia dimora, finché non sconteranno la pena e cercheranno il mio volto, e ricorreranno a me nella loro angoscia.	15 I shal go back to my place until they confess their guilt and seek me, seek me eagerly in their distress.
