Apocalisse 4

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Dopo questo vidi [una visione], ed ecco una porta aperta nel cielo, e la prima voce, che avevo udito come di tromba che parlava con me, [risuonò di nuovo] dicendo: «Sali quassù e ti mostrerò ciò che deve accader dopo queste cose».	1 Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voicelike a trumpet, saying, 'Come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future.'
2 E subito fui [rapito] in ispirito, ed ecco un trono stava nel cielo, e sul trono uno che sedeva.	2 With that, I fel into ecstasy and I saw a throne standing in heaven, and the One who was sitting on thethrone,
3 E quegli che sedeva era simile nell'aspetto a pietra di diaspro e di sardo, e [c'era] un'iride intorno al trono, simile nell'aspetto a smeraldo.	3 and the One sitting there looked like a diamond and a ruby. There was a rainbow encircling the throne,and this looked like an emerald.
4 E intorno al trono [vidi altri] ventiquattro troni, e sui troni ventiquattro vecchi seduti, ravvolti in bianche vesti, e sulle lor teste corone d'oro.	4 Round the throne in a circle were twenty-four thrones, and on them twenty-four elders sitting, dressedin white robes with golden crowns on their heads.
5 E dal trono uscivano lampi e voci e tuoni, e sette lampade di fuoco [stavano] accese di faccia al trono, che sono i sette spiriti di Dio.	5 Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of thethrone there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God.
6 E di faccia al trono [c'era] come un mare di vetro, simile al cristallo, e in mezzo al trono e intorno al trono quattro animali pieni d'occhi davanti e di dietro.	6 In front of the throne was a sea as transparent as crystal. In the middle of the throne and around it,were four living creatures al studded with eyes, in front and behind.
7 E il primo animale [era] simile a un leone, e il secondo animale simile a un vitello, e il terzo animale con la faccia come d'uomo, e il quarto animale simile ad aquila volante.	7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a bull, the third living creature had a human face,and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
8 E i quattro animali avevano ognuno sei ali, e all'intorno e al di dentro son pieni d'occhi, e non si davan posa giorno e notte, dicendo: «Santo, santo, santo il Signore Iddio, l'Onnipotente, colui che era ed è e viene!».	8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was studded with eyes all the way round as well asinside; and day and night they never stopped singing: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty; who was,and is and is to come.'
9 E ogni qual volta quegli animali davan gloria e onore e ringraziamento a colui che sedeva sul trono, al Vivente per i secoli de' secoli,	9 Every time the living creatures glorified and honoured and gave thanks to the One sitting on the throne,who lives for ever and ever,
10 si prostravano i ventiquattro vecchi al cospetto di colui che sedeva sul trono, e adoravano il Vivente per i secoli de' secoli, e gettavan le loro corone davanti al trono, dicendo:	10 the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before him to worship the One who lives for ever andever, and threw down their crowns in front of the throne, saying:
11 «Degno sei tu, o Signore e Dio nostro, di ricever la gloria e l'onore e la potenza, perchè tu creasti tutte le cose, e per la tua volontà ebber l'essere e furono create».	11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you made the wholeuniverse; by your wil , when it did not exist, it was created.
