Osea 14

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Samaria sconterà la sua pena, perché si è ribellata al suo Dio. Periranno di spada, saranno sfracellati i bambini; le donne incinte sventrate.	1 Samaria will pay the penalty for having rebel ed against her God. They wil fall by the sword, their littlechildren wil be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women disembowelled.
2 Torna dunque, Israele, al Signore, tuo Dio, poiché hai inciampato nella tua iniquità.	2 Israel, come back to Yahweh your God your guilt was the cause of your downfal .
3 Preparate le parole da dire e tornate al Signore; ditegli: «Togli ogni iniquità, accetta ciò che è bene: non offerta di tori immolati, ma la lode delle nostre labbra.	3 Provide yourself with words and come back to Yahweh. Say to him, 'Take all guilt away and give uswhat is good, instead of bulls we wil dedicate to you our lips.
4 Assur non ci salverà, non cavalcheremo più su cavalli, né chiameremo più “dio nostro” l’opera delle nostre mani, perché presso di te l’orfano trova misericordia».	4 Assyria cannot save us, we will not ride horses any more, or say, "Our God!" to our own handiwork, foryou are the one in whom orphans find compassion.'
5 «Io li guarirò dalla loro infedeltà, li amerò profondamente, poiché la mia ira si è allontanata da loro.	5 I shal cure them of their disloyalty, I shal love them with all my heart, for my anger has turned awayfrom them.
6 Sarò come rugiada per Israele; fiorirà come un giglio e metterà radici come un albero del Libano,	6 I shal fal like dew on Israel, he wil bloom like the lily and thrust out roots like the cedar of Lebanon;
7 si spanderanno i suoi germogli e avrà la bellezza dell’olivo e la fragranza del Libano.	7 he will put out new shoots, he will have the beauty of the olive tree and the fragrance of Lebanon.
8 Ritorneranno a sedersi alla mia ombra, faranno rivivere il grano, fioriranno come le vigne, saranno famosi come il vino del Libano.	8 They will come back to live in my shade; they will grow wheat again, they wil make the vine flourish, their wine will be as famous as Lebanon's.
9 Che ho ancora in comune con gli idoli, o Èfraim? Io l’esaudisco e veglio su di lui; io sono come un cipresso sempre verde, il tuo frutto è opera mia».	9 What has Ephraim to do with idols any more when I hear him and watch over him? I am like anevergreen cypress, you owe your fruitfulness to me.
10 Chi è saggio comprenda queste cose, chi ha intelligenza le comprenda; poiché rette sono le vie del Signore, i giusti camminano in esse, mentre i malvagi v’inciampano.	10 Let the wise understand these words, let the intel igent grasp their meaning, for Yahweh's ways arestraight and the upright wil walk in them, but sinners wil stumble.
