NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Fecit ergo Beseleel et Ooliab et omnis vir sapiens, quibus dedit Dominus sapientiam et intellectum, ut scirent fabre operari, quae in usus sanctuarii necessaria sunt et quae praecepit Dominus.	1 'Bezalel, Oholiab and al the men whom Yahweh has endowed with the skil and knowledge to knowhow to carry out al the work to be done on the sanctuary, wil do exactly as Yahweh has ordered.'
2 Cumque vocasset Moyses Beseleel et Ooliab et omnem eruditum virum, cui dederat Dominus sapientiam, omnes, qui sponte sua obtulerant se ad faciendum opus,	2 Moses then summoned Bezalel, Oholiab and al the skil ed men whose hearts Yahweh had endowedwith skil , al whose heart stirred them to come forward and do the work.
3 acceperunt ab ipso universa donaria, quae attulerant filii Israel ad faciendum opus in cultum sanctuarii. Ipsi autem cotidie mane donaria ei offerebant.	3 From Moses they received everything that the Israelites had brought as contributions for carrying outthe work of building the sanctuary, and, as they went on bringing their offerings every morning,
4 Unde omnes sapientes artifices venerunt singuli de opere suo pro sanctuario	4 the skil ed men who were doing all the work for the sanctuary, al left their particular work
5 et dixerunt Moysi: “ Plus offert populus quam necessarium est operi, quod Dominus iussit facere ”.	5 and said to Moses, 'The people are bringing more than is needed for the work Yahweh has ordered tobe done.'
6 Iussit ergo Moyses praeconis voce per castra clamari: “ Nec vir nec mulier quidquam offerat ultra pro omni opere sanctuario ”. Sicque cessatum est a muneribus offerendis,	6 Moses then gave the order and proclamation was made throughout the camp, 'No one, whether manor woman, must do anything more towards contributing for the sanctuary.' So the people were prevented frombringing any more,
7 eo quod oblata sufficerent et superabundarent.	7 for the material to hand was enough, and more than enough, to complete al the work.
8 Feceruntque omnes corde sapientes inter artifices habitaculi cortinas decem de bysso retorta et hyacintho et purpura coccoque, cum cherubim intextis arte polymita;	8 Al the most skil ed of the men doing the work made the Dwelling. Moses made it with ten sheets offinely woven linen, dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson and embroidered with great winged creatures.
9 quarum una habebat in longitudine viginti octo cubitos et in latitudine quattuor: una mensura erat omnium cortinarum.	9 The length of a single sheet was twenty-eight cubits, its width four cubits, al the sheets being of thesame size.
10 Coniunxitque cortinas quinque alteram alteri et alias quinque sibi invicem copulavit.	10 He joined five of the sheets to one another, and the other five sheets to one another.
11 Fecit et ansas hyacinthinas in ora cortinae unius in extremitate iuncturae et in ora cortinae extremae in iunctura altera similiter.	11 He made violet loops along the edge of the first sheet, at the end of the set, and did the same alongthe edge of the last sheet in the other set.
12 Quinquagenas ansas fecit pro utraque cortina, ut contra se invicem venirent ansae et mutuo iungerentur.	12 He made fifty loops on the first sheet and fifty loops along the outer edge of the sheet of the secondset, the loops corresponding to one another.
13 Unde et quinquaginta fudit fibulas aureas, quae morderent cortinarum ansas, et fieret unum habitaculum.	13 He made fifty gold clasps and joined the sheets together with the clasps. In this way the Dwel ing wasa unified whole.
14 Fecit et saga undecim de pilis caprarum pro tentorio super habitaculum;	14 Next he made sheets of goats' hair for the tent over the Dwel ing; he made eleven of these.
15 unum sagum in longitudine habebat cubitos triginta et in latitudine cubitos quattuor: unius mensurae erant omnia saga.	15 The length of a single sheet was thirty cubits and its width four cubits; the eleven sheets were al ofthe same size.
16 Quorum quinque iunxit seorsum et sex alia separatim.	16 He joined five sheets together into one set and six sheets into another.
17 Fecitque ansas quinquaginta in ora sagi ultimi iuncturae unius et quinquaginta in ora sagi iuncturae alterius, ut sibi invicem iungerentur;	17 He made fifty loops along the edge of the last sheet of the first set, and fifty loops along the edge ofthe sheet of the second set.
18 et fecit fibulas aeneas quinquaginta, quibus necteretur tentorium, ut esset unum.	18 He made fifty bronze clasps, to draw the tent together and make it a unified whole.
19 Fecit et opertorium tentorio de pellibus arietum rubricatis aliudque desuper velamentum de pellibus delphini.	19 And for the tent he made a cover of rams' skins dyed red, and a cover of fine leather over that.
20 Fecit et tabulas habitaculi de lignis acaciae stantes.	20 For the Dwelling he made vertical frames of acacia wood.
21 Decem cubitorum erat longitudo tabulae unius, et unum ac semis cubitum latitudo retinebat.	21 Each frame was ten cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.
22 Bini pedes erant per singulas tabulas, ut altera alteri iungeretur: sic fecit in omnibus tabulis habitaculi.	22 Each frame had twin tenons; this was how he made al the frames for the Dwelling.
23 E quibus viginti ad plagam meridianam erant contra austrum	23 He made frames for the Dwel ing: twenty frames for the south side, to the south,
24 cum quadraginta basibus argenteis. Duae bases sub singulis tabulis ponebantur pro duabus pedibus.	24 and made forty silver sockets under the twenty frames, two sockets under one frame for its twotenons, two sockets under the next frame for its two tenons;
25 Ad plagam quoque habitaculi, quae respicit ad aquilonem, fecit viginti tabulas	25 and for the other side of the Dwel ing, the north side, twenty frames
26 cum quadraginta basibus argenteis: duas bases per singulas tabulas.	26 and forty silver sockets, two sockets under one frame, two sockets under the next frame.
27 Contra occidentem vero, id est ad eam partem habitaculi quae mare respicit, fecit sex tabulas	27 For the back of the Dwel ing, on the west, he made six frames.
28 et duas alias per singulos angulos habitaculi retro;	28 He also made two frames for the corners at the back of the Dwel ing;
29 quae gemellae erant a deorsum usque sursum in unam compaginem. Ita fecit duas tabulas in duobus angulis,	29 these were coupled together at the bottom, staying so up to the top, to the level of the first ring; thishe did with the two frames forming the two corners.
30 ut octo essent simul tabulae et haberent bases argenteas sedecim: binas scilicet bases sub singulis tabulis.	30 Thus there were eight frames with their sixteen silver sockets; two sockets under each frame.
31 Fecit et vectes de lignis acaciae quinque ad continendas tabulas unius lateris habitaculi	31 He made crossbars of acacia wood: five for the frames of the first side of the Dwel ing,
32 et quinque alios ad alterius lateris coaptandas tabulas; et extra hos quinque alios vectes ad occidentalem plagam habitaculi contra mare.	32 five crossbars for the frames of the other side of the Dwel ing and five crossbars for the frames whichformed the back of the Dwel ing, to the west.
33 Fecit autem vectem medium, qui per medias tabulas ab una extremitate usque ad alteram perveniret.	33 He made the middle bar, to join the frames from one end to the other, halfway up.
34 Ipsa autem tabulata deauravit. Et anulos eorum fecit aureos, per quos vectes induci possent; quos et ipsos laminis aureis operuit.	34 He overlaid the frames with gold, made gold rings for them, through which to place the crossbars,and overlaid the crossbars with gold.
35 Fecit et velum de hyacintho et purpura coccoque ac bysso retorta, opere polymitario, cum cherubim intextis;	35 He made a curtain of finely woven linen, dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson and embroideredwith great winged creatures,
36 et quattuor columnas de lignis acaciae, quas cum uncis suis deauravit, fusis basibus earum argenteis.	36 and for it he made four poles of acacia wood, overlaying them with gold, with golden hooks for them,for which he cast four sockets of silver.
37 Fecit et velum in introitu tabernaculi ex hyacintho, purpura, cocco byssoque retorta opere plumarii;	37 For the entrance to the tent he made a screen of finely woven linen embroidered with violet-purple,red-purple and crimson,
38 et columnas quinque cum uncis suis. Et operuit auro capita et anulos earum basesque earum fudit aeneas.	38 as also the five columns for it and their hooks; he overlaid their capitals and rods with gold, but theirfive sockets were of bronze.
