1 Non è adunque adesso condannazione alcuna per coloro, che sono in Cristo Gesù, i quali non camminano secondo la carne.	1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,
2 Imperocché la legge dello spirito di vita in Cristo Gesù mi ha liberato dalla legge del peccatole della morte.	2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.
3 Imperocché quello, che far non poteva la legge, perché era inferma per ragion della carne: Dio avendo mandato il suo Figliuolo in carne simile a' quella del peccato, col peccato abolì nella carne il peccato,	3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.
4 Affinchè la giustizia della legge si adempisse in noi, che non camminiamo secondo la carne, ma secondo lo spirito.	4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.
5 Imperocché coloro, che sono secondo la carne, gustano le cose della carne: coloro poi, che sono secondo lo spirito, le cose gustano dello spirito.	5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.
6 Imperocché la saggezza della carne è morte: la saggezza dello spirito è vita, e pace:	6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,
7 Dappoiché la sapienza della carne è nimica a Dio: perché non è soggetta alla legge di Dio: né può esserlo.	7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,
8 E que', che sono nella carne, a Dio non posson piacere.	8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.
9 Voi però non siete nella carne, ma nello spirito: se pure lo spirito di Dio abita in voi. Che se uno non ha lo spirito di Cristo, questi non è di lui.	9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
10 Se poi Cristo è in voi: il corpo veramente è morto per cagione del peccato, ma lo spirito vive per effetto della giustizia.	10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;
11 Che se lo spirito di lui, che resuscitò Gesù da morte, abita in voi: egli che risuscitò Gesù Cristo da morte, vivificherà anche i corpi vostri mortali per mezzo del suo spirito abitante in voi.	11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.
12 Siamo adunque, o fratelli, debitori non alla carne, sicché secondo la carne viviamo.	12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.
13 Imperocché se viverete secondo la carne, morrete: se poi con lo spirito darete morte alle azioni della carne, viverete.	13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.
14 Conciossiaché tutti quelli, che sono mossi dallo spirito di Dio, sono figliuoli di Dio.	14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;
15 Imperocché non avete ricevuto di bel nuovo lo spirito di servitù per temere, ma avete ricevuto lo spirito diadozione in figliuoli, mercé di cui gridiamo: Abba (padre)	15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'
16 Imperocché lo stesso Spirito fa fede al nostro spirito, che noi siamo figliuoli di Dio.	16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.
17 E se figliuoli (siamo) anche eredi: eredi di Dio, e coeredi di Cristo: se però patiamo con lui per essere con lui glorificati.	17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.
18 Imperocché io tengo per certo,che i patimenti del tempo presente non han che fare colla futura gloria, che in noi si scoprirà.	18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,
19 Imperocché questo mondo creato sta alle vedette, aspettando la manifestazione de' figliuoli di Dio.	19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.
20 Imperocché il mondo creato è stato soggettato alla vanità non per suo volere, ma di colui che lo ha soggettato con isperanza:	20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-
21 Che anche il mondo creato sarà renduto libero dalla servitù della corruzione alla libertà della gloria de' figliuoli di Dio.	21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.
22 Conciossiaché sappiamo, che tutte insieme le creature sospirano, e sono ne' dolori del parto fino ad ora.	22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.
23 E non esse sole, ma noi pare che abbiamo le primizie dello Spirito, anche noi sospiriamo dentro di noi, l'adozione aspettando de' figliuoli di Dio, la redenzione del corpo nostro.	23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.
24 Imperocché in isperanza siamo stati salvati. Or la speranza, che si vede non è speranza: Conciossiaché come sperare quel, che uno vede?	24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.
25 Che se quello, che non vediamo, noi lo speriamo: lo aspettiamo per mezzo della pazienza.	25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.
26 Nello stesso modo lo spirito sostenta la debolezza nostra: imperocché non sappiam come converrebbe quel, che abbiamo da domandare: ma lo Spirito istesso sollecita per noi con gemiti inesplicabili.	26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;
27 E colui, che è scrutatore de' cuori, conosce quel che brami lo Spirito: mentre egli sollecita pei Santi secondo Dio.	27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.
28 Or noi sappiamo, che le cose tutte tornano a bene per coloro, che amano Dio, per coloro, i quali secondo il proponimetto (di lui) sono stati chiamati Santi.	28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.
29 Imperocché coloro, che egli ha preveduti, gli ha anche predestinati ad esser conformi all'immagine del figliuol suo, ond'egli sia il primogenito tra molti fratelli.	29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;
30 Coloro poi, che egli ha predestinati, gli ha anche chiamati: e quelli che ha chiamati, gli ha anche giustificati: e quelli, che ha giustificati gli ha anche glorificati.	30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.
31 Che diremo adunque a tal cose? se Dio è per noi, chi sia contro di noi?	31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 Egli, che non risparmiò nemmeno il proprio Figliuolo, ma lo ha dato a morte per tutti noi: come non ci ha egli donate ancora con esso tutte le cose?	32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?
33 Chi porterà accusa controlli eletti di Dio? Dio è, che giustifica,	33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice
34 Chi è, che condanni? Cristo Gesù è quegli, che è morto, anzi che è anche risuscitato, che anche sta alla destra di Dio, che anche sollecita per noi.	34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?
35 Chi ci dividerà adunque dalla carità di Cristo? Forse la tribolazione? Forse l'angustia? Forse la fame? Forse la nudità? Forse il risico? Forse la persecuzione? Forse la spada?	35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;
36 (Conforme sta scritto: Per te noi siamo ogni dì messi a morte: siam riparati come pecore da macello).	36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?
37 Ma di tutte queste cose siam più che vincitori per colui, che ci ha amati.	37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.
38 Imperocché io son sicuro, che né la morte, né la vita, negli Angeli, né i principati, né le virtu di, né ciò, che ci sovrasta, né quel, che ha da essere, né la fortezza,	38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,
39 Nè l'altezza, né la profondità, né alcun'altra cosa creata potrà dividerci dalla carità di Dio, la quale è in Cristo Gesù Signor nostro.	39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.
