Michea 4

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Avverrà alla fine dei giorni che la montagna della casa del Signore sarà fondata sulla cima dei monti, si alzerà sopra le colline, e ad essa affluiranno i popoli,	1 But in days to come Yahweh's Temple Mountain will tower above the mountains, rise higher than thehil s.
2 a lei accorreranno molte nazioni, e diranno: « Venite, ascendiamo al monte del Signore, alla casa del Dio di Giacobbe: egli ci insegnerà le sue vie, e noi seguiremo i suoi sentieri; perche da Sion uscirà la legge e da Gerusalemme la parola del Signore?	2 Then the peoples wil stream to it, then many nations wil come and say, 'Come, we will go up toYahweh's mountain, to the Temple of the God of Jacob, so that he may teach us his ways and we may walk inhis paths; for the Law issues from Zion and Yahweh's word from Jerusalem.'
3 Egli sarà l'arbitro di numerose nazioni, correggerà popoli possenti, anche lontani, ed essi trasformeranno le loro spade in vomeri, le loro aste in zappe; una nazione non impugnerà più la spada contro l'altra, non impareranno più a far la guerra.	3 He wil judge between many peoples and arbitrate between mighty nations. They wil hammer theirswords into ploughshares and their spears into bil -hooks. Nation will not lift sword against nation or ever againbe trained to make war.
4 Ciascuno sederà sotto la suà vite, sotto il suo fico, nessuno verrà a turbare la pace, perchè la bocca del Signore degli eserciti ha parlato.	4 But each man wil sit under his vine and fig tree with no one to trouble him. The mouth of YahwehSabaoth has spoken.
5 Allora ogni popolo camminerà nel nome del suo Dio, e noi cammineremo nel nome del Signore nostro Dio, in eterno più ancora.	5 For all peoples go forward, each in the name of its god, while we go forward in the name of Yahweh ourGod for ever and ever.
6 In quel giorno — dice il Signore — io radunerò e la zoppicante e la scacciata radunerò, e quella da me percossa:	6 That day -- declares Yahweh- I shal gather in the lame and bring together the strays and those whom Ihave treated harshly.
7 alla zoppicante darò degli avanzi, farò dell'afflitta una nazione robusta, e sopra di loro regnerà il Signore, nel monte di Sion, da questo momento per tutta l'eternità.	7 From the footsore I shall make a remnant, and from the far-flung a mighty nation. And Yahweh will reignover them on Mount Zion thenceforth and for ever.
8 E tu, torre del gregge, caliginosa figlia di Sion, verrà fino a te, verrà la potestà suprema il regno della figlia di Gerusalemme.	8 And to you, Tower of the Flock, Ophel of the daughter of Zion, to you your former sovereignty wil return,the royal power of the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 Perchè ora ti contorci nel dolore? Forse non hai più re? è morto il tuo consigliere? Chè il dolore ti strazia come una partoriente?	9 Why are you crying out now? Have you no king? Has your counsel or perished, for pangs to grip youlike those of a woman in labour?
10 Soffri, fa i tuoi sforzi, o figlia di Sion, come una partoriente; perchè ora partirai dalla città, andrai ad abitare in altra regione, arriverai fino a Babilonia: là sarai liberata, là il Signore ti riscatterà dalle mani dei tuoi nemici.	10 Writhe in pain and cry aloud, daughter of Zion, like a woman in labour, for now you must leave the cityand camp in the open country; to Babylon you must go, and there you will be rescued; there Yahweh wil ransomyou from the clutches of your enemies.
11 Ma ora contro te si sono radunate numerose nazioni. Esse dicono: — Sia lapidata: possan guardare i nostri occhi dentro Sion! —	11 Now many nations have mustered against you. They say, 'Let us desecrate her, let us gloat over Zion!'
12 Ma essi non conoscono i disegni del Signore, non capiscono i suoi propositi: li ha radunati come paglia nell'aia.	12 But they do not know Yahweh's thoughts, they do not understand his design: he has col ected themlike sheaves on the threshing-floor.
13 Sorgi, o figlia di Sion, e tribbia. Io ti farò corna di ferro, io ti farò unghie di bronzo, e tu stritolerai numerosi popoli e consacrerai le loro rapine al Signore, le loro ricchezze al Signore di tutta la terra.	13 Start your threshing, daughter of Zion, for I shal make your horn like iron, I shall make your hooves likebronze, so that you can crush many peoples. And you wil devote what they have stolen to Yahweh, their wealthto the Lord of the whole earth.
	14 Now look to your fortifications, Fortress! They have laid siege to us; the ruler of Israel wil be struck onthe cheek with a rod.
