Osea 12

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Efraim si pasce di vento, e va dietro al (vento) infocato: tutto il giorno accumula menzogne e rovine: ha fatto alleanza cogli Assiri, mentre va a portare l'olio in Egitto.	1 Ephraim besieges me with lying, the House of Israel with duplicity. (But Judah stil is on God's side, heis faithful to the Holy One.)
2 Il giudizio del Signore è dunque contro Giuda, e il suo castigo sopra Giacobbe, secondo la sua condotta darà a lui secondo i suoi ritrovati.	2 Ephraim feeds himself on wind, all day he chases the wind from the East, he heaps up cheating andviolence; they make a treaty with Assyria, at the same time sending oil to Egypt.
3 Nel seno (materno) soppiantò il suo fratello, colla sua forza lottò coll'angelo,	3 Yahweh has a case against Judah, he will punish Jacob as his conduct merits, he will repay him as hisdeeds deserve.

5 Il Signore è il Dio degli eserciti, il Signore è il suo memoriale.	5 He wrestled with the angel and beat him, he wept and pleaded with him. He met him at Bethel andthere God spoke to us-
6 E tu ritorna al tuo Dio, conserva la misericordia e la giustizia e spera sempre nel tuo Dio.	6 yes, Yahweh, God Sabaoth, Yahweh is his title!
7 Canaan tiene in mano una bilancia falsa ed ama l'oppressione.	7 So turn back with God's help, maintain faithful love and loyalty and always put your trust in your God.
8 Efraim va dicendo: « Intanto io mi son fatto ricco, mi son trovato un idolo, in tutte, le mie fatiche non troveranno per me un peccato che abbia fatto io ».	8 Merchants use fraudulent scales. To defraud is his delight.
9 Ma io sono il Signore Dio tuo fin dalla terra d'Egitto, e ti farò ancora dimorare nelle tende, come nei giorni di festa.	9 'How rich I have become!' says Ephraim, 'I have made a fortune.' But of al his gains he wil keepnothing because of the sin of which he is guilty.
10 E io ho parlato ai profeti, ho moltiplicate le visioni, per mezzo dei profeti mi son dipinto.	10 But I have been Yahweh your God since your days in Egypt and will make you live in tents again asin the days of Meeting.
11 Se Galaad è un idolo, dunque invano in Galgala sacrificavano dei tori; infatti i loro altari son come mucchi di pietre sopra i solchi dei campi.	11 I will speak through prophets, I will give vision after vision and through the ministry of prophets wilspeak in parables.
12 Giacobbe fuggì nelle regioni della Siria, Israele servì per una moglie, e per una moglie guardò (il gregge).	12 Is Gilead a sink of iniquity? Yes, they are a worthless lot! At Gilgal they sacrifice to bulls, that is whytheir altars are like heaps of stones in a ploughed field.
13 E per mezzo d'un profeta il Signore trasse Israele dall'Egitto, e lo salvò per mezzo d'un profeta.	13 Jacob fled to the countryside of Aram, Israel slaved to win a wife, to win a wife he looked after sheep.
14 Efraim mi provocò a sdegno colle sue amarezze, sopra di lui ricadrà il suo sangue, e il suo Signore gli renderà i suoi oltraggi.	14 By a prophet Yahweh brought Israel out of Egypt and by a prophet Israel was preserved.
	15 Ephraim gave bitter provocation- Yahweh will bring his bloodshed down on him, his Lord wil repayhim for his insult.
