Osea 12

BIBBIA TINTORI	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Efraim si pasce di vento, e va dietro al (vento) infocato: tutto il giorno accumula menzogne e rovine: ha fatto alleanza cogli Assiri, mentre va a portare l'olio in Egitto.	1 Ephraim feedeth on the wind, and followeth the burning heat: all the day long he multiplied lies and desolation: and he hath made a covenant with the Assyrians, and carried oil into Egypt.
2 Il giudizio del Signore è dunque contro Giuda, e il suo castigo sopra Giacobbe, secondo la sua condotta darà a lui secondo i suoi ritrovati.	2 Therefore there is a judgment of the Lord with Juda, and a visitation for Jacob: he will render to him according to his ways, and according to his devices.
3 Nel seno (materno) soppiantò il suo fratello, colla sua forza lottò coll'angelo,	3 In the womb he supplanted his brother: and by his strength he had success with an angel.
4 e prevalse contro l'angelo e vinse, e piangendo lo pregò: lo trovò in Betel, ed ivi parlò con noi.	4 And he prevailed over the angel, and was strengthened: he wept, and made supplication to him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us.
5 Il Signore è il Dio degli eserciti, il Signore è il suo memoriale.	5 Even the Lord the God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial.
6 E tu ritorna al tuo Dio, conserva la misericordia e la giustizia e spera sempre nel tuo Dio.	6 Therefore turn thou to thy God : keep mercy and judgment, and hope in thy God always.
7 Canaan tiene in mano una bilancia falsa ed ama l'oppressione.	7 He is like Chanaan, there is a deceitful balance in his hand, he hath loved oppression.
8 Efraim va dicendo: « Intanto io mi son fatto ricco, mi son trovato un idolo, in tutte, le mie fatiche non troveranno per me un peccato che abbia fatto io ».	8 And Ephraim said: But yet I am become rich, I have found me an idol: all my labours shall not find me the iniquity that I have committed.
9 Ma io sono il Signore Dio tuo fin dalla terra d'Egitto, e ti farò ancora dimorare nelle tende, come nei giorni di festa.	9 And I that am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, will yet cause thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the feast.
10 E io ho parlato ai profeti, ho moltiplicate le visioni, per mezzo dei profeti mi son dipinto.	10 And I have spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and I have used similitudes by the ministry of the prophets.
11 Se Galaad è un idolo, dunque invano in Galgala sacrificavano dei tori; infatti i loro altari son come mucchi di pietre sopra i solchi dei campi.	11 If Galaad be an idol, then in vain were they in Galgal offering sacrifices with bullocks: for their altars also are as heaps in the furrows of the field.
12 Giacobbe fuggì nelle regioni della Siria, Israele servì per una moglie, e per una moglie guardò (il gregge).	12 Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and was a keeper for a wife.
13 E per mezzo d'un profeta il Signore trasse Israele dall'Egitto, e lo salvò per mezzo d'un profeta.	13 But the Lord by a prophet brought Israel out of Egypt: and he was preserved by a prophet.
14 Efraim mi provocò a sdegno colle sue amarezze, sopra di lui ricadrà il suo sangue, e il suo Signore gli renderà i suoi oltraggi.	14 Ephraim hath provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood shall come upon him, and his Lord will render his reproach unto him.
