Prima lettera ai Corinzi 6

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Qualcuno di voi che abbia qualche lite con un altro, ha cuore di farsi giudicare da un tribunale d'ingiusti e non dai santi?	1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?
2 Non sapete voi che questo mondo lo giudicheranno i santi? e se tra voi il mondo sarà giudicato, siete forse indegni di giudicare in cose di pochissimo rilievo?	2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?
3 Non sapete che anche gli angeli giudicheremo? quanto più le cose del secolo?	3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.
4 Se dunque avete litigi su cose di questa vita, sceglierete come giudici quelli che nella Chiesa non hanno alcun valore?	4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!
5 Ve lo dico per farvi arrossire. O non vi è dunque tra voi nessun saggio, il quale possa pronunziare un giudizio tra fratello e fratello?	5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,
6 e il fratello invece, avendo lite col fratello, va a farsi giudicare dagli infedeli?	6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?
7 Già, in tutti i modi, è mancamento vostro l'aver liti e processi tra di voi! Perchè non soffrire piuttosto qualche ingiustizia? perchè non piuttosto patire qualche privazione?	7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?
8 Ma voi invece fate ingiustizia e portate danno, e questo a fratelli.	8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.
9 O non sapete che gente ingiusta non erediterà il regno di Dio? Non illudetevi; nè fornicatori, nè idolatri, nè adulteri;	9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,
10 nè effeminati, nè pederasti, nè ladri, nè avari, nè ubriaconi, nè maldicenti, nè rapaci erediteranno il regno di Dio.	10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.
11 E tale era qualcuno di voi; ma siete stati lavati, siete stati santificati, siete stati giustificati nel nome del Signore Gesù Cristo e nello Spirito del Dio nostro.	11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.
12 Tutto mi è lecito, ma non tutto giova; tutto mi è lecito, ma non mi lascerò dominare da cosa alcuna.	12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.
13 I cibi sono pel ventre, e il ventre per i cibi; ma Dio questo e quelli ridurrà a nulla. Ma il corpo non è per fornicazione, bensì per il Signore, e il Signore per il corpo;	13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;
14 e Dio come risuscitò il Signore, risusciterà anche noi per il suo potere.	14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.
15 Non sapete che i nostri corpi sono membra di Cristo? or dunque le membra di Cristo le farò membra d'una meretrice? non sia mai!	15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!
16 O non sapete che chi si unisce con una meretrice forma un corpo solo con lei? poichè saranno, dice, due in una carne sola.	16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.
17 Ma chi s'unisce al Signore forma unico spirito con lui.	17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.
18 Fuggite la fornicazione. Qualunque peccato faccia l'uomo è fuori del corpo; ma il fornicatore commette un peccato rispetto al proprio corpo.	18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
19 O non sapete che il corpo vostro è tempio del Santo Spirito che è in voi, [Spirito] che avete da Dio? e non siete di voi stessi,	19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?
20 perchè siete stati comprati a caro prezzo. Glorificate dunque Iddio, e portatelo nel vostro corpo.	20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.
