Osea 5

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Udite questo, o sacerdoti; state a sentire, voi della casa di Israele e voi della casa del re, perchè il giudizio è intentato a voi; giacchè siete diventati un laccio a Masfa e una rete tesa sul monte Tabor;	1 Hear this, you priests, listen, House of Israel, pay attention, royal House, for it is you who have justice inyour care, but you have been a snare at Mizpah and a net outspread on Tabor.
2 e andate traviando il culto profondamente in basso, mentre io faccio di tutto per correggerli.	2 They have dug the ditch deep at Shittim and so I am going to punish them al .
3 Io conosco Efraim e Israele non mi è nascosto; sì, ormai Efraim si è prostituito, Israele s'è contaminato;	3 Ephraim have I known, Israel is not hidden from me; and yet, Ephraim, you have played the whore,Israel is befouled.
4 non si daranno più pensiero di tornare al loro Dio, perchè lo spirito della fornicazione è in mezzo a loro e non hanno più riconosciuto il Signore.	4 Their deeds do not al ow them to return to their God, since an urge to play the whore possesses themand they no longer know Yahweh.
5 Ne risponde ad attestarlo l'arroganza stessa di Israele che è sulla sua faccia; Israele ed Efraim cadranno per la loro colpa e con essi cadrà anche Giuda.	5 Israel's arrogance is his accuser, the guilt of Israel and Ephraim is their undoing, Judah too wil beundone with them.
6 Con i loro greggi e coi loro armenti se ne andranno a cercare il Signore e non lo troveranno. Egli si è ritirato da loro.	6 Though they go in search of Yahweh with their sheep and cattle, they wil not find him; he haswithdrawn from them.
7 Sono diventati infedeli al Signore, perchè hanno procreato figli degenerati; ora, un mese li consumerà colle sostanze loro.	7 They have betrayed Yahweh because they have fathered bastards; now the new moon wil devourthem and their fields.
8 Sonate la squilla in Gabaa e la tromba in Rama; urlate in Betaven, dietro alle tue spalle, o Beniamino!	8 Sound the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah, raise the war cry in Beth-Aven, 'We are behind you,Benjamin!'
9 Efraim sarà ridotto in desolazione nel giorno del castigo: l'ho dichiarato alle tribù d'Israele per cosa certa.	9 When the day of punishment comes, Ephraim wil be a wasteland; on the tribes of Israel I havepronounced certain doom.
10 I principi di Giuda sono come coloro che spostano i confini: su di loro riverserò come acqua la mia collera.	10 The rulers of Judah act like men who move the boundary stone; I shall pour my wrath out on them likea flood.
11 Efraim è oppresso e affranto meritamente, perchè si studia di andar dietro alle lordure.	11 Ephraim is oppressed, crushed by the sentence, for having deliberately fol owed a Lie.
12 Ma io sarò come tignuola ad Efraim e come una cancrena alla casa di Giuda.	12 Because of this, I shall be like ringworm for Ephraim and like gangrene for the House of Judah.
13 Ed Efraim ha visto la sua infermità e Giuda la propria fasciatura; ed Efraim andò ad Assur, fece ricorso al re vindice; ma egli non potrà metter rimedio, nè levar via la fasciatura a voi;	13 Once Ephraim realised that he was sick and Judah that he had an ulcer, Ephraim then went toAssyria, he sent messengers to the Great King; but he has no power to cure you or to heal you of your sore;
14 perchè io sarò come una leonessa per Efraim e come un leoncello per la casa di Giuda; io lo abbrancherò e me ne andrò, leverò la preda e non sarà chi me la ritolga.	14 for I shal be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the House of Judah; I myself shal rend them,then go my way, shal carry them off, beyond hope of rescue.
15 Andrò, ritornerò al mio luogo, fin tanto che vi sentiate mancare e ricerchiate la mia faccia!	15 I shal go back to my place until they confess their guilt and seek me, seek me eagerly in their distress.
